2017 Grand Design Travel Trailer reviews

I am the 2nd owner of this camper. Purchased in April 2022. Upon completing this weekend, we will log 14 trips for the year. We are extremely pleased with the Imagine. Have made a few cosmetic changes as well as added Moryide steps. (best addition to date) as of now, no issues to report. Unit cools quickly in the summer and for a camper, stays pretty warm on the cool nights. Pulls very well. I think we may be GD4L Show less

We purchased this almost three years ago. It had that new smell, was clean, like new, just a few things to fix and we loved it. Like I said in our listing we have been workaholics--estates sales almost every week for years leaving no weekends available. When we moved to Arizona and cut back our work hours we thought we would take advantage of free time, however with my husbands health- needing knee replacements, hip replacements and now an upcoming ankle replacement--then in June falling and fracturing a hip, Covid--we just didn't use it but twice. A total of 5 days in both trips camping. It is time to pass it on to someone who will love and use it. For us, in the future, Hello Airbnb! Come see how nice and clean this RV is. We never owned a travel trailer, but did our research over a six month period. Sales, Service and Support was 5 star! My background is services/support so I'm picky in terms of evaluation. Most of our negative experience has been user error. Our plan is to use this TT for a couple of years and then we might trade in to meet our new requirements. Show less

We had our 2017 for 5 years,husband,2 puppies and me loved the design and never used all storage areas.Started to look at 351 momentum Ms.We kept ours up and had just put new tires,we fixed anything that we were able,as good luck with help from dealers.Started looking,poor quality on 2 that we looked at.Grand design has best quality cabinets so far,never used table,too tight for us.Buy what makes u the happiest.. Our 2017 Reflection is a dream. We decided to buy a new Reflection. This home is ready to go. It has the best theater seats, fireplace, tv, trifold couch, 4 chair dinette and island. You will love the outdoor entertainment area and the 18 foot lighted awning. With 3 slides, and back up camera hook up, auto leveling system you will be a happy camper. We put a new queen never used mattress in bedroom. Show less

We pull our trailer with a 2017 F150 with no problem. The fireplace is great and offers great ambiance as well as quickly heats up the entire trailer. This can only be used when plugged into electric. The furnace works great and is run from the propane. The center island is great for cooking and entertaining at the same time. We just love this trailer. Show less

I bought my GD Reflection back in 2017 in GA and I've taken it to several states for work. It is overall a great camper and Ive had very minimal issues with it. The only thing i would have liked to have it come with was auto leveling. Show less

I am the 2nd owner of this 2017 Imagine RB. The first owner camped 8 weekends a year. He was 6'5" with a Rottweiler; and sold because his family needed something larger. I camp 6 wks. a year at the beach; no problems; one person until the family piles in; and 2 dogs. Perfect for 2 people. I added a 12" luxury queen mattress; placed a twin mattress on dining area -- took out dining table; added a tall kitchen faucet/sprayer; added a better shower sprayer. There is not room for added people to sit --if that is important to you. When the family visits, we sit outside at the fire ring and picnic table, then the visitors retire to their tents to sleep. A couple of small kids could sleep and lounge on the twin bed insert; but other than that -- this camper is for 2 people only. I have had zero problems; and this camper has been used a lot in it's 4 year life span. Also foam has been sprayed underneath to prevent mice infestation; I run the air cond. all the time, then use a dehumidifer to get rid of other moisture; leave Irish Spring soap in cabinets because mice don't like it. I love everything about this camper; and in 4 years no issues. Yay. Show less

We have traveled to many VA state campground within about a 300 mile radius. Also we have camped several times in Coastal NC. We love this camper it is well designed and manufactured. We have owned several other brands this one by far has been no problem. Our reason for selling is we now have decided a small motorized unit will fit in our plans better. Show less
