I purchased a Pioneer DS320 travel trailer from Gander Outdoor in July, 2020. In June 2021, Gander filed a warranty claim because the super slide roof was leaking. The claim was denied by Heartland RV because Gander couldn't provide a picture of the sealant on the front of the slide where the roof was held in place by a piece of trim. The service manager at Gander assured me that there was no sealant on the trim, which is what caused the leak. The lack of quality workmanship is appalling. I will be out several thousand dollars for repairs because Heartland won't stand behind their products.

Run do not buy. Bought in April 2018, by June 2018 had to fight with camping world to look at it due to everytime it rains the dinette slide leaks. The toilet leaks, the pipes inside the trailer going to outside shower leak. The water pump leaks. The ac installed cannot keep up with the Fla heat. All screws falling out of fender Wells. Lights on awning work sometimes. This is a eye candy model but the list of problems go on. Camping world claims they fixed slide leak but today is June 23,2021 and I’m trying to find someone to look at slide water damage. All flooring under slide needs replacing as it’s caving in. Camping World are Liers and Heartland does shotty work. The price was cheaper than others and now I know why. So basically I’m stuck with a 300 payment each month and a camper that can’t be used and I can’t trade it in because I’m
Too too heavy with bal. Do not buy learn from my mistakes. And of course anything water related is not covered by warranty imagine that’s. Final thought the electrical is constantly flipping the breakers hopefully it will catch on fire and I will be rid of it.

The ownership of any heartland product is highly NOT!!! recommended. To start with we purchased the DS320 from a Camping World in May of 2020, we were set up June to camp and it began to rain, no big deal there but come to find out both slide outs were leaking from the seams on the top side completely a manufacturer issue. We took it to Camping world and they fixed the issue and agreed it was a manufacturer issue 'worst job ever seen' quoted from the service manager. Thought we were good, then we find the toilet leaking, my kid cut hit foot on a staple being pushed through the linoleum on the floor, kitchen sink leaking from the sink basin and the water input on the hot side. I would never recommend to anyone for any reason to purchase a heartland product. Their website which talks about quality is a total lie. Frustration level is through the roof, so much so I'm taking on substantial negative equity to get rid of this thing.

Overall the floor plan is why I purchased this camper. It fits my family comfortably and the price was right.
Pros:
Floor plan
Exterior kitchen
Slides
Bathroom accessible from the outside
Bunk house
Cons:
Has room for extra storage that the factory didn’t utilize
Seems to be built in haste
Controls for water pump and heater are accessible to children (could have been higher.)
Overall a low quality of build, I am systematically going through and correcting the little things the manufacture should have done.
Conclusion
I would buy this camper again, considering that I saved 10k compared to the competitors version. Who knows possibly the competition is equally constructed.

Water heater works only intermittently. Awning motor burned out within the 1st month. Blind had to be replaced, gaping holes in undercarriage. This has to be the worst camper on the market today. I would never recommend or buy another one, just junk!!!!!!!!

Warranty support is the worst I've ever encountered. Known issue with leaks on the 1st slide, denied for customer maintenance. Too bad we did all required maintenance and they still declined. Had all windows replaces within 3 months of owning for leaks, and now it's been at dealer for 4 months battling having the rotted floor replaced. We havent even owned a year. Bought brand new and kept under storage. Will never ever buy from heartland again. Dealer said it's now a known defect for this model that ever customer is having to fight from a design flaw they refuse to acknowledge. Run! Run! Run! Wish we had.

This was our first and last purchase of a Heartland Pioneer trailer. We did not have it for a 2 weeks and its spending more time being repaired than used. Its going on a month now for repairs. We bought it, pulled it home, leveled it and left it parked for 2 weeks. Went in it to install a tv and found the floor soaked. Carpets were soaked on the slide out and had standing pools of water on each side of the slide out. Took it back to the dealership. Dealership is as upset as we are. They contact the manufacturer to see if they will help with trade assistance to get us out of the trailer due to the major water damage. Basically, manufacturer says kiss my butt and we will fix the damage. Now we have a travel trailer we no longer want or trust and having to wait at least an other month for repairs because wood has to come from the manufacturer. The seals on the slide out were not installed from the factory properly. The wood from the entire slide out has to be replaced and hopefully the main floor will be replaced as well as parts of the interior walls. I have zero confidence in this trailer now and wish we had bought another trailer now. Please don't waste your time and money on this brand. Read reviews before you buy. Lesson learned.
