I was very impressed with the unit initially. We did a fairly thorough walk through and everything SEEMED fine. Once we got home things went hay wire. Screws had fallen out of the fender wells, the sliding bathroom door came off the track and wouldn’t stay on, the microwave would run but not heat anything up, the outside speakers would play music but no voice, the right tail light stopped working, the bedroom door came off the track, and the positive battery cable slid out of the battery shut off switch and won’t go back to where it belongs. So now the battery is dead. The unit is now at inside storage. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong! The dealer is getting it back in the spring to get it ALLLL fixed!

The RV itself was beautiful when we first saw it, but on our trip home from the dealer, the fascia from the slideout fell off because it wasn't nailed incorrectly. It, unfortunately, went downhill from there. For the second set of repairs, the camper sat at the dealer for over 3 months.
1) The cabinet door doesn't close correctly and is warped.
2) The letters and numbers from the stove came off with just water.
3) The refrigerator was leaking and ruined the molding below the it and the side molding on the slider... Twice!
4) The chalkboard on the refrigerator was cut poorly and you can see above it in the door.
5) There is a wiper under the slider that keeps the bugs and dirt out of the camper. IT wasn't even touching the slider.
6) One of the Air Conditioners broke after we heard a popping noise and then a smell of burned electronics.
7) One of the panels on the inside of the slider was put in bowed at the bottom.
8) The table chairs came apart and the bottoms of them were being held on by a few staples.
9) The pullout that holds the pillow under the loveseat was torn.
10) The water heater was leaking into the bedroom pullout and the floor was soaking wet from it.
11) The kitchen sink was leaking as the drains were put up with paper gaskets and no putty, and the supply lines weren't even tight. because of it, the bottom of the center island warped from the water.
13) The antenna works intermittently.
14) The water inlet to the camper was not screwed into the wood and is hanging off.
15) The table to the left of the pullout is crooked.
16) The drawers in the bedroom don't close correctly.
Lastly and most recently:
Our fresh water tank fell out of the camper this time thanks to not putting screws in the straps that hold the tank it. It tore up the plastic under sheathing and the vent hose for the dryer.
It was like they pulled a team of people off the street that had no experience with building RVs and told them to put it together.
We honestly don't want to use it anymore as we are afraid of what else might go wrong with it...

Bought a 2021 heartland north trail, brand new off the lot.
Drove it to Northern California ( literally rains hardly ever), as a travel nurse. Parked it there for 10 months.
Right before coming back to Wisconsin, we noticed the slide out floor was separating.
We were getting it winterized, so had our dealer check it out.
We were told the floor on the slide out was rotted, and would cost 4500 plus to replace.
We got the extended warranty. Doesn't cover it. Contacted insurance. Was told by them it was a manufacturer issue. Contacted Heartland, who now wants to blame us. Saying it was a seal maintenance issue.....again please note was in California, in a place it rarely rains.

Before you camp the first time take everything a part and reseal it all give it 6 months and you will be buying subfloor, carpet or tile, walls, kitchen island if you have one.. it's been something with this pile all the time. Please beware and buy something you can enjoy instead of fixing and not be able to enjoy!

We owned a North Trail 24BHS for about 5 years. This travel trailer has all the conveniences you need in a nice compact trailer. It's comfortable to live in, easy to maintain, and just as easy to tow around on the road. We are a family of 4, the bunk bed layout provided the right amount of space for our family; the kids were even able to bring friends out camping with us. Camping is meant for enjoying the outdoors, and this camper has the storage space to hold all of your outdoor equipment. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need, refrigerator, stove, a sink, and electrical outlets. Grab the foldout chairs and grill from storage, setup your station, and you could spend the whole day/evening cooking, eating and drinking.
The Heartland North Trail 24BHS is as perfect as perfect can be for a smaller size light weight RV. There's nothing to not like about it.

The purpose of camping is the outdoor experience, but this trailer offers a nice cozy space when the weather keeps you indoors.
I love sitting outside relaxing and having the convenience of our own private bathroom.
Set up is easy with the power stabilizers and tongue jack.
The island adds charm and gives a lot of room for food prep and clean up is easy. There is plenty of storage for food, clothing and extra linens.
The outdoor kitchen gives a lot of bonus space and gives an extra fridge for beverages. The grill set up on the tailgate makes outdoor cooking easy and fun.
We have always enjoyed our time in this unit when we go out. It is relaxing and fun. I wish we had more time.
