We love this Bighorn. It's served as our home away from home and for a time our main home. There are just 2 of us and for us there's plenty of room. We remodeled a little while living in it - by taking the dining table out and using that space for a computer desk, The king size bed is wonderful and with a full closet there's room for what we need. The 17ft awning with LED lights gives some additional living space, and we've had a great and enjoyable experience as full time RV'rs.

We purchased a 2015 Heartland 3270RS Bighorn new off the lot after we had looked at them in RV Shows. We fell in love with the floor plan and the durability of the coach. We have had few problems like bedroom slide not operating correctly but after taking it to the dealer and they could not figure out what was wrong as it never did it again, we experienced the same issue once again and I self diagnosed the problem as a loose twisted wire with a wire nut that was not very well secure making intermediate contact. (Fixed) Slide toppers are after market so I can't fault the manufacture but the dealer did a poor job of installation. The biggest problem we have had is a crack in the fireglass above the rear slide toward the front of the coach, it ends up being a weld within the frame of the RV that has come unwelded, we had to have the slide removed, and internal walls disassembled to re-weld the aluminum weld, and then have the fiberglass repaired, we thought that after a $6,000 bill it was behind us well, the crack has re-appeared but the shop we had to work done warratines the work so its back into the shop again to see what the repair will be. I contacted Heartland but they did not return my requests for reimbursements of the repairs. When you purchase a high end RV you expect it to be of good quality and will last a long time, 5 years is not a long time, we don't manhandle our RV and do not take it off road so it was unexpected that we have a crack in the fiberglass, it needs to be repaired or it would lead to water infiltration and then delamination. I am happy with the RV as it is the right size and comfort for us but the high cost of repairs puts a pinch in our enjoyment of our travels wondering what will break next.

This was the worst choice we ever made. In July of 2018, we excitedly purchased this RV. At finalization of the sale, which we also got Platinum Warranty, we were congratulated and atta-boyed like crazy. Our first night in rv, I noticed water leaking underneath outside. After much back and forth and arguing, 2 valves and a pump later, it seems to be fixed. Then, upon bringing it in for warranty coating, and punch list repairs, we get the unit home, slide out bedroom and the moulding cracks and breaks away from ceiling. Come to find out, when they replaced ceiling panel, they left a mallet in slide out. I called, told them and they replied " all our tools are accounted for". We don't own a mallet, well, we do now! We fixed it ourselves. As for pump issues earlier in this review, we were told, if you are handy at all, "you can change valve yourself". Wow, really!!!! Next, we lost power, come to find out our battery was dead, upon investigating further, they only equipped us with 1, when we were told at walk through there were 2 for this size unit. Again, upon calling for assistance, help, advice.....nothing!!. A back and 4th, pass the buck fight, and "we won't reimburse you as your a couple days out of year warranty". This is on a screw up they made by only equipping the unit with 1 battery that had to work for 2. Of course its going to die. We never have had our indicator lights function Correctly. They read full all the time, even when empty. This is our fulltime home. Their answer to everything is, bring it in. We Willget to it when we can. We live 3 and a half hours away. The customer service is appalling and/or really non-existent. We were so ex cited to take this journey, but we made the wrong choice going with the Bighorn by heartland. They sell it to you and then basically should have said" don't let the door hit you!!! Our worst purchase to date. Do your homework folks!!!!!! Don't fall for their smiling faces. Talk about buyers remorse!!! This is it, at its finest. Good luck people!

I like everything about the Bighorn 3270RS except. factory workmanship is poor. There is evidence that some skilled labor is used but some is simply unskilled and crude. Interior and exterior are pleasing to look at but remove an access panel or try troubleshooting, things go down hill. We have experienced dozens of annoying problems: drawer bottoms falling out, water heater failure, 12v hydraulic wiring overload, mysterious popping from the propane central heater, blinds falling down, cabinet door alignment. loose screws every where, bed frame broken off from bedroom slide, sloppy wiring practices, construction debris behind every access panel, roof vent wiring issue, intermittent 12v lite wiring, many more. 18 months of ownership. Heartland attempts to support by phone but usually unable to tell me anything about plumbing or wiring. To the trailer credit it seems structurally sound. It has never leaked! Needless to say I am a DIY'er. At shop rqtes or $120/hour and climbing I will continue to be.

This is a Bighorn RS3270 I bought in January 2017. I have had nothing but problems since the day I picked it in Springfield Mo. MANY problems (workmanship) I had to fix myself, Now I have had it in the shop 3 different times for the hydraulic slide cylinder leaking, (currently waiting on another one), The auger motor in the refrigerator quit, waiting on it also. the compressor on the refrigerator quit, waiting for a tech to look at it. This this is a fifth wheel Bighorn JUNK. It has been waiting for repair far longer than I have had it to use. $80,000 piece of junk, THANKS HEARTLAND

I bought this FW as a slightly used rig with the plan to be a full-time RVer in a few years when my DW and I retire. The floor plan is awesome. There is plenty of living space and storage. Our last rig only had couches; we really like the massage and heat option in the theater seating. The king bed in the bedroom and the king sofa sleeper give us plenty of sleeping room for ourselves and guests. The large refrigerator holds plenty of food. The convection over is a great upgrade. There is also a TV in both the living area and bedroom and a built-in booster, so we can usually get adequate channels when we scan using the antenna. The automatic leveling system is a big plus, but we learned that sometimes we have to use blocks if on an uneven surface, so the legs do not have to extend all the way. Overall the 3270rs is quite comfortable. I only gave 4 stars fpr the quality because we get a lot of condensation on the bathroom vent when camping in hot, high humidity conditions. I'll have to add insulation between the air conditioning vent and the bathroom ceiling vent, or install a fantastic fan in the bathroom to correct this issue. But overall, very pleased with this fifth wheel.
