2018 jayco Precept reviews

This is a very livable and easy Class A RV. Its inside and outdoor living space is excellent. Can go anywhere with large gas, water and waste tanks. Very low hours on generator and great for boomdocking. Easily tows a toad. I towed a mini cooper and didn't even know it was there. Ready to go anywhere with fresh service and newer tires! Show less

i have owned the Precept 35s for just over one year. We purchased it to see how we like RVing. In short, it was the most wise investment we have ever made! We love it so much that now it is for sale and we are buying a new Jayco Precept! We LOVE the floor plan as it offers free movement, more than enough storage, and many extra features... such as the heated, vibrating recliners, efficient convection microwave, and upgraded dream dinette and both captain's and reclining passenger's chairs. We’ve had several campers of all types. Overall, I absolutely love this Motorhome the best of all of them! So easy to drive and the seats are so comfortable! We love having two Air Conditioners! The large refrigerator amd freezer is sects bonus! Show less

We have had nothing but trouble with our JV. Some problems include water pump replacement, Refrigerator Cooling Unit Replacement, Shades falling off, Screws in dash continually coming loose causing excessive vibration, replacement of drive train rear end, Water control manifold screws came out and the unit fell down breaking some pipes, cabinet over the couch came loose and almost fell off, Drivers chair positioned such that only people 5-9" or taller can drive the unit, TV antenna came loose, had inner rear tire blowout after only 15,000 miles and several other smaller issues. I would NEVER buy a Jayco produce again. Show less

Drives like you are in a much smaller motorhome, very easy. Tracks straight down the road. On demand hot water is amazing. If you want to take a 15 min shower, no problem the temperature never varies at all. King bed is also a big plus. 50" retractable TV is including a sound bar and suborder. Show less

Brand new 2018 precept 31ft. Precept. Right off the bat problems: The shower drain trap was installed backwards. Closet doors and trim falling off. Garmin doesn't work. Back up and side cameras didn't work. Toilet handle flusher broke off. Microwave/convection oven broke. Three safety recalls already issued. Televator was installed crooked and when it was lowered cut the wires. Turn indicator modulator had to be replaced. Kitchen sink seal leaked. Constantly finding more problems. It's been a nightmare, we will never purchase another Jayco. Show less

We have had a lot of trouble with minor repairs as things keep failing apart, i.e., water pump stopped working, cabinet door hinge came loose, bedroom drawer bottom fell out, manual window blinds not retracting on side windows, and the Garmin radio stopped connecting to the remote and the navigation stopped working. Finally, the rear end has a high pitched whine at 63 to 68 mph and we can't find a Ford dealer that has a heavy lift to fix it. I would never buy another Precept Show less
