Tiffin Allegro 31SA reviews

Family member bought this unit from Arv dealership and boy. We got the runaround everything worked on it. Minus the fact that we had to replace all the leveling jacks Found out that there was wiring issues wrong with it like the reverse lights didn't work and then found out when we took it on a month on vacation. It had a blown head gasket. But The dealership said everything worked fine on it as they wouldn't give it to us. But at five days after we purchased it. So we get at home and that's when we found out that the leveling jacks didn't work properly. And then later down the road. We found out that the staircase quit working. And then he refrigerator wasn't covered under the warranty. Because it is a household refrigerator. Then we found out the wiring was coming bad because it had rats. And the reverse lights quit working and if you touch the mirrors while it's plugged in to an outlet, it will shock you Because it has a short somewhere. Ended up dropping about $4000 into the AC unit in the cab. To replace parts in labor. About every 500 miles, you would have to add water or anti freeze to the radiator 'cause. It goes through half a gallon due to the head gasket. I mean, the list goes on, but we turned it in. For something that's way younger and then found out and the new unit that we have. It was well used with super glue from the previous owners. I suggest you if you're looking for a unit. Make sure you go through like fine-tooth-comb in find anything in everything. That is wrong with it and then talk about the numbers if you're wanting to get that unit. Not to mention that. I just dropped $1500 worth of 6 V batteries in this unit. A week after I bought it. Now there is some good comes out of it. Because Tiffin makes a really good motorhome. The comfortable they're spacious in the ride very smoothly. Show less

It was beautiful inside and out. Had great storage, was easy to drive but the quality was bad. Just about ever part of it needed repairs from leaks, being trapped in it because door wouldn’t open, inverter, converter, ceiling coming down, backup camera went out, tons of other things. It was gone to repair shops more than I had it. I ended up having to drive it all the way to Tiffin inAL. 2 weeks later they had ruined as much as the fixed. I had to leave it there for another 2 months and when they had it delivered to me in WA they had ruined more things. I sold it. This was all within the first 9,000 miles. Show less

I totally loved this rv. I looked vigorously for a long time and wanted a luxury coach. I am constantly surprises each time I'm in my "discover you coach mode". This coach has every amenity and then Some. I am 77 and lost my travel partner is my only reason for selling. Show less

Great floor design, lots of sleeping, huge awning, easy to drive park and handle when towing..this is our third Tiffin and it is all we will own. Great for weekends or months of travel even a great ‘snow bird’ home. Show less

I have had "zero" problems with our unit. Pulled CRV without issue. Size is perfect,we can go to all national parks and state parks and find a site. Any larger and we would be on the outside looking in! Show less

Our OpenRoad 31 SA has been one of the most comfortable RV's we have owned. For the price point Allegro is a real good value for the dollar. Floor plan has no noticeable shortcomings. We had a stabilization system and found the drive to be outstanding. It tracks well. Towing is a breeze since we tow CooperS Conv. It is a joy to drive. Though usually choosing to drive less than 350 miles, I have driven it as much as 700 miles in a day. Tired yes but not worn out..l. No manufacturer has a better customer service network than Tiffin. Bob Tiffin stands behind every coach. Even things out of warranty are covered if he believes it should not have broken or that they erred in putting that part in the coach. Even if you don't buy my Open Road, I highly recommend this model as well as all gas and diesel coaches manufactured by Tiffin in Red Bay Alabama. Check them out.
