I purchased this unit new 2022 Big Country in Nov 2023 "Brand New". We purchased just before moving out of state. Our idea was to live in it while looking for our forever home. Well, we started having quality issues within the first month. Since we're living in it, we're not able to take it in for service. So... I paid a local mobile RV Repair company to fix the issues (awning motor, recliner motor, fridge won't keep temp, leaking hydraulic line, leaking fittings,) the straw that killed us staying in the camper LEAKING ROOF. I mean it two of the slide outs leaked bad, come to find out, my RV guy told me the roof was not installed correctly. We ended up moving into an AirBB and taking the camper to Camping World for service. Come to find out after 90 days, any leaky roof issues are your's. That's right, a 90 day warranty against leaks. I have significant water damage and no warranty coverage. The warranty states you're responsible for maintaining the roof "general maintenance" .
I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THE HEARTLAND BRAND. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, WARRANTY ISN'T WORTH THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON.

The king size bed was the main point in getting this particular RV because it’s what we are used to at home. I would recommend it as a first timer as well as for experienced travelers.

Love love our Big Country. Floor plan very spacious and lots of storage. High interior ceiling is what we were looking for and an open floor plan. Another great feature is the residential range/refrigerator. This is our 3rd RV. Another great feature is the huge toilet and pocket doors. We love camping and with this 5th wheel feels like we are in a beach house/ vacation home when not enjoying camping outside. Dislikes on this RV would be the in the bedroom not too much room on the side of the king bed probably could swap king mattress for queen. The auto leveling is on the side of the trailer would have liked it on the front. The washer/dryer prep room probably would work better if it was in the bathroom and not the closet but we don’t live in it full time so haven’t added washer/dryer. This RV has all the bells and whistles ! Would highly recommend!

I bought my 2023 Heartland Big Country 3200 RLK brand new in April 2023 and have had quite a few issues with it. To start with, the landing gear/leveling jacks have never worked properly, nor does auto level feature work, had it re-calibrated at the dealer and still doesn’t work properly. The ducted air conditioning system does not cool the RV very well, any temperatures over 95 degrees and the air conditioners cannot keep up (having two 15k BTU A/C’s this rv should have no problem keeping cool). One of the bed struts in the under bed storage area broke off the second time I lifted the bed to put something in that storage compartment. The shower liner began delaminating from the wall after three months of usage. The black and grey water tank vents were not hooked up properly and would vent those disgusting gasses into the RV. Some other small things I found wrong with the RV are as follows: The sound bar in the entertainment system was not connected, the handrail for the stairs began to come apart, the Winegard 5g WiFi system was not connected/working, wood trim for the faux shutter window in the bedroom fell off and hit me in the head while sleeping, and many pieces of hardware on the exterior of the fifth wheel have required tightening or have fallen off (wheel skirts, hand rail, reflectors, etc). Lastly, the refrigerator condensation drain doesn’t work, there’s always water all over everything in the fridge. For a fifth wheel that has an MSRP of over 100k (according to Heartland RV), I’ve been pretty disappointed. The one year warranty is a joke as well but at least Heartland covered most of the above mentioned issues before the 1 yr warranty expired. I recommend buying from an RV manufacturer with better quality control and better warranty.

Bought in Dec 2022. A bit disappointed in some of the workmanship. Found my water lines to my shower and outside shower are reversed. Cold is hot, hot is cold. Did not enjoy finding this out when taking a shower. Drawers in kitchen won't stay shut because the slider. Dealership suggested I just push on harder. One outlet to plug into over couch, why not one at the other end. When pulling the cord, the bottom of my cabinets pulls down because no one put extra finishing nails to keep from happening. I live in my camper and to take to dealer to correct would mean moving . Not a totally satisfied customer but then again understand this is run through an assembly line. As far as overall 3.5. Only pro, the size of bathroom. I would rethink the sliding door. You can easily get stuck in shower.

Heartland will never get my business again. We bought our 2021 Big Country 3155RLK in March, 2021. It’s 24 months old, and it’s been in the repair shop for 13 months. We’ve experienced a problem (or 2, or 3) with nearly every system in the unit. Since it was built during the pandemic, perhaps the factory couldn’t get enough workers, and couldn’t train what they had. The demand for RV’s hit a peak about the time this one was built, and I am sure the factory simply decided to shove the crap out the door and let the dealers deal with the problems. Our dealership has over 200 units waiting to be repaired. The problems have included a severe hydraulic fluid leak, discovered on the way home when we first picked it up, a loose refrigerator that caused the trim above it to fracture, every interior wall has come apart (they are panels that are held together with staples but no glue), the television cabling has never worked correctly, all of the furniture has come unfastened from the floor (the couch moved around while traveling so much that the rear wall separated from the unit and the side walls came apart), and about 50 additional warranty issues. Our service advisor (no longer with the dealership) told us that these trailers are not really built to be hauled down the road. I asked her what part of “travel trailer” did she not understand? On a trip last summer, we stopped in Elkhart IN at the factory to talk about the quality issues, but the customer service people would not talk with us. Currently, it’s been at the dealer over six months waiting for parts and repairs. They’ve had it longer than we have.

I was very impressed with the unit initially. We did a fairly thorough walk through and everything SEEMED fine. Once we got home things went hay wire. Screws had fallen out of the fender wells, the sliding bathroom door came off the track and wouldn’t stay on, the microwave would run but not heat anything up, the outside speakers would play music but no voice, the right tail light stopped working, the bedroom door came off the track, and the positive battery cable slid out of the battery shut off switch and won’t go back to where it belongs. So now the battery is dead. The unit is now at inside storage. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong! The dealer is getting it back in the spring to get it ALLLL fixed!

The RV itself was beautiful when we first saw it, but on our trip home from the dealer, the fascia from the slideout fell off because it wasn't nailed incorrectly. It, unfortunately, went downhill from there. For the second set of repairs, the camper sat at the dealer for over 3 months.
1) The cabinet door doesn't close correctly and is warped.
2) The letters and numbers from the stove came off with just water.
3) The refrigerator was leaking and ruined the molding below the it and the side molding on the slider... Twice!
4) The chalkboard on the refrigerator was cut poorly and you can see above it in the door.
5) There is a wiper under the slider that keeps the bugs and dirt out of the camper. IT wasn't even touching the slider.
6) One of the Air Conditioners broke after we heard a popping noise and then a smell of burned electronics.
7) One of the panels on the inside of the slider was put in bowed at the bottom.
8) The table chairs came apart and the bottoms of them were being held on by a few staples.
9) The pullout that holds the pillow under the loveseat was torn.
10) The water heater was leaking into the bedroom pullout and the floor was soaking wet from it.
11) The kitchen sink was leaking as the drains were put up with paper gaskets and no putty, and the supply lines weren't even tight. because of it, the bottom of the center island warped from the water.
13) The antenna works intermittently.
14) The water inlet to the camper was not screwed into the wood and is hanging off.
15) The table to the left of the pullout is crooked.
16) The drawers in the bedroom don't close correctly.
Lastly and most recently:
Our fresh water tank fell out of the camper this time thanks to not putting screws in the straps that hold the tank it. It tore up the plastic under sheathing and the vent hose for the dryer.
It was like they pulled a team of people off the street that had no experience with building RVs and told them to put it together.
We honestly don't want to use it anymore as we are afraid of what else might go wrong with it...
