Not a fan of the seating for TV viewing but we didn't purchase it to sit and watch TV. Excellent coach that's considered a entry level coach. Cummins 300 hp diesel does a great job. We have not taken it up really steep mountains so we can't review the engine power. We have taken it up and down 6% grades and does fine. Engine retarder works well. Very satisfied.

Buyer beware. Before we got the RV home the entertainment unit was falling apart. Draw railings were not connected. All the drawers in the motorhome are crooked. When we drive in rain black water covers the floor. The air conditioner lasted 30 minutes before breaking. You can see daylight coming from around the bed slide out. The paint on the front hood is peeling. The hose connecting the drain to the shower was cut too short and put on tension and after driving 3000 miles it became disconnected and when taking a shower water would go everywhere. The dealer had to add an extension onto the shower drain hose. Overall workmanship is extremely poor. The vent to the refrigerator is held on by two screws, The third screw is partially in the wood and the fourth screw it’s not holding anything. Beware, this motorhome was recommended by a dealer over a Winnebago.

For an entry into the 40ft diesel pusher world this RV has been excellent. Easy to drive. 2 slides are larger width than other similar models. Layout and sleeping for 4 adults and 1 child is convenient to set up. Reliable Cummins engine and Allison power train. 300Hp may seem low but coach is not real heavy at 26,900 lbs so gets 11 mpg towing at 62 mph. Rides well at 60-62mpg and rides up steep hills OK, kicking down to 5th gear and rarely to 4th gear.
Attractive 4 color scheme gets some nice looks and easy to spot among common RV beige. We added a rugged spray-on front "linex" cover to prevent stone chips vs having that 3m plastic coating that fades and cracks after 5 years. Unit is very serviceable by Cummins and other more general RV service shops. All parts are readily available from OEM suppliers.

I first drove my BIL 2005 Sportscoach Elite. i enjoyed it very much. I searched for the next year for a similar RV. I found it on Craigslist. i was happy with the price and purchased it. The Freightliner and Cat engine are nice. i wished they placed a larger engine size. if towing i would never go below 500HP after using this one (2006 Sportscoach Elite). The construction of the drivetrain and exterior is fine. my issue is with the finishes of the interior. i am constantly fixing some sort of wood trim. the refidge has went on the fritz a couple of times now. and the systems (electrical wiring) seem to have been "thrown" in w/o much thought to upgrading technology later as it gets older.
the step cover motor (interior) has fell off, the awning over the door is only used with the remote that rarely decides to work. the windows about 15% of them have lost the seal and are now fogging up.
With that being said, it is irrating, but you find issues like this in most RV's. it is a joy to drive...smooth. I am now ready to buy a newer model but will most likely not be sticking with this brand of coach. i will be more lickly to be loyal to freightliner, allison and Cat

Once both living room slides are out you can't believe the size of the room. The back bath is as roomy as some hotel/motel rooms. We had a problem with the small awning over the door. Once back in Alaska Forest River authorized a full replacement with no questions asked. The coach is not as fancy as some of the more expensive coaches, however, it is well built, extremely comfortable, easy to drive and is very very nice.

The ride is very soft, she travels down the highway with ez, and the entire unit is very quite while driving on the highway. My MPG isn't all that bad for this size unit. I have owned a lot of RVs in the past even bigger coaches, but this one by far out surpasses them by far.

The DirecTV dish and tow package aren't cheap; glad this one has them. The raised frame on this rig does allow sharper turning radius, which is always a plus. Wish the bed were a King, but at least it's a new Queen mattress. This rig is in great shape!
