Purchased our Airstream interstate 24GL in Austin Tx from Compass and it’s been in the service shop longer than we have used it. We are very disappointed with the service and Airstreams support. We were concerned about the E1 Volta system when shopping for an airstream. We were assured the Volta had been out a couple of years with NO issues. We have now learned that Volta has been having issues prior to our purchase and now there is a recall on the system. Our airstream has already been to 2 dealerships and back in service 4 different times and the issue is still not resolved. Not only issues with the Volta but also with Timberline. Buyer beware! So very disappointed!!

As newbies to RV traveling/camping we love our Airstream Interstate Lounge. The interior fit and finish is what originally lured us into the Airstream brand versus all the others. The upscale overhead cabinets, teak wood look vinyl flooring, and comfortable interior won us over. Since our children are still young, sleeping 4 in this van that's built to sleep 2 by the specs was simple. We use a cabbunk bunk system on our cab seats with no issues. The 6 gallon hot water heater is easy to use for all of us to shower. Heating the coach with the propane furnace is quick and easy. Cooling it with shore power from the rear AC or the generator while underway is also simple enough our kids have learned the drill. The OEM AC unit has 2 settings, LOUD, and LOUDER. We've learned to sleep with is just fine, but will upgrade to a quieter unit in the future. Driveability is second to none! My wife was intimidated at first and 20 minutes later was just fine. She's so confident driving it that she's taken it on solo voyages with the kids and with girlfriends. There are 9 seats with seatbelts, allowing passengers to move around. The layout is ideal, and there is no wasted space. All systems are located so that if maintenance or repair is required there is space and accessibility. There is also a large and helpful community of owners who are very active in helping each other repair/upgrade/use this coach to its full potential. Dumping grey and black tanks could not be simpler or cleaner with its self retracting dump hose and macerator pump. Whether it's a trip across town to Costco, a 10 hour roadtrip, a day at the beach or soccer tournament, we find our Airstream interstate coach a perfect vehicle, and it gets a lot of use. We have upgraded the AGM 12v batteries to AGM 6v batteries to extend the usable amp hours, but for the most part are either on the road or plugged into shore power at a destination. 2015 was the last year of production before power window shades became standard equipment and we're happy to have the manual shades when we read about the powershade problems. As with any RV, a fuse will blow, oil will need to be changed, systems develop issues. If you're handy you can handle 90% of all of these as they arise. The other 10% should be easily repaired as the Sprinter is the backbone of local delivery fleets and parts are readily available. This coach was a wonderful purchase for our family. If you're looking, check out all the class B offerings, and then take a look at the Airstream, if you wind up as impressed as we did, you'll be done shopping. They seem to hold their value better than other brands as well!

I've logged over 200,000 miles on our 2013 AIRSTREAM without any issues to the Sprinter drive-train, and or the AIRSTREAM interior furniture and such; everything held up just as it should. Airstream holds themselves out to be one of the premium brands, but in reality, they are terrible at support. I don't think you could be any worse. I'd give them no stars if I could. I'd never buy another. Let's assume you are traveling and you have a problem. It will take weeks to get a service appointment. I've tried for four weeks and I still don't have one. Forget the so-called "Five Rivet" program. It's meaningless garbage. That appointment, well, it's only an inspection appointment. You have to stay local to that area if it needs parts. That too could take weeks so good luck with your trip. They will do nothing to support you if you're traveling and your stuck. I do mean nothing. All expenses to repair will be out of your pocket, regardless of how inconvenient and good luck getting a reimbursement. They will do anything to stall, with no call backs, delayed appointments, etc., probably because it saves them money not supporting you. I've been calling for a month, and I still don't have a service appointment from the Oklahoma dealer. My first call was November 1, it's now the 28th and still no appointment. The van is badly designed with latches that don't remain closed while traveling and drawers that fly open on even the slightest curves. While the materials seem durable, they use very low quality parts like other RVs. The bathroom fan failed in the first 90 days, so did the gray tank valve. The shower cracked, and there are numerous other small annoyances. It's not a bad van, but support is horrible and reason enough to never buy another.

Garbage. Don't buy one. I spend $175,000 for this unit and it is continuously in the shop for a whole variety of reasons. The 3 year "limited" warranty is exactly that: Limited. After one year it won't cover parts and labor for components that were purchased and installed by Airstream to construct the motorcoach: Generator, AC, Heat, refrigerator, etc etc....basically the entire thing. I've run into other Airstream owners with the exact same complaints. I'm through with this thing and am trying to sell it. I could have purchased another Sprinter based RV for less then half of what I paid for this.

I bought this Sprinter new from John’s RV in 2016, so I’ve had it four years. The first year the shower broke, the screen door will not stay on the track, and the automatic shades are impossible to keep fixed. The ride up front is ok, but you will bounce off of the back seat. The bed is good if you use a memory foam. It has a propane generator, but it is extremely loud. We only use it now for carrying extra passengers, and it is great for tailgating. I have also spent over two thousand dollars for sensors for the Mercedes engine. I hear the new ones have air suspension ride which I am sure is great, and probable cuts down on the rattling. I’m sure there are many satisfied owners, so read the other reviews.
