This camper is an excellent option for anyone looking for a practical, comfortable, and well-designed trailer, even for those towing with a minivan, as long as the proper precautions are taken. It is especially appealing for people who want something easy to store, simple to winterize and protect, and still spacious enough inside to feel truly comfortable. What stands out most is how well it uses its compact size. Even though it has a relatively small footprint, it feels much more like a larger camper once you are inside. The interior height is one of its best features. Because of the shape and layout, the space feels open, comfortable, and surprisingly easy to move around in. Another major advantage is that you do not have to deal with tarps or the usual hassles that often come with protecting and storing other trailers. It offers a very practical solution for winter coverage while still giving you the feeling of owning a more substantial camper. For a trailer of this size, the features are impressive. It has air conditioning, which can be difficult to find in smaller units, and it also includes a solid hot water tank. In my case, because of the high elevation where I live, a tankless water heater would not really be a practical option, so having a traditional hot water tank is a real benefit. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be the addition of an indoor shower. I believe that with just one or two extra feet in the floor plan, it could likely be incorporated. Even so, having an outdoor shower is still a valuable feature. I also think that adding a cassette toilet alongside a shower area would make this camper even more versatile and would be an outstanding upgrade. Overall, I think this is a wonderful camper. It offers a smart balance of size, comfort, and practicality, and for me, as a first camper, it has been a very satisfying purchase. I am genuinely happy with it. Show less

Great for families. We used ours well and loved it. Plenty of room for 5 humans and 2 dogs. Absolutely loved the privacy doors in the bunkhouse and master bedroom. Always get extended warranty as all rvs or not built for durability but haul ability. Show less

We bought this RV as a non-current model from our local dealers existing stock. We love the layout and find the quality of the build high compared to other brands that we looked at. We had some issues with the glass shower door track leaking, this was a common issue with this type of door and was quickly resolved by our dealer. Part of the issue was related to having the trailer spot on level due to the east west shower layout. Speaking of the shower, this is one of the features we love about the Solaire line, nice big showers with a seat. We love the outdoor fridge and induction cooktop with a nice size counter included. We had an issue with the TV and the power antennae the first time we used the trailer, the TV was replaced, and the antennae issue resolved by our dealer with no issue. We are currently working with our dealer on trading up to the 258RBSS because we have moved up in canine size and need a little more room. I feel a lot of the support issues that are written about are dealer related, we have had great support from our local dealer and are not hesitant at all to buy this brand again. Show less

Water heater failed twice, once during warranty period, once after. Shower dome leaked from screws being over tightened in all four corners after warrantee. Water intake manifold leaked & had to be replaced..no water for three weeks was a major inconvenience. Now the shower drain & outdoor sink piping are leaking. Please take some pride in your work. We paid $55k for a huge headache. Show less

This was our first camper we bought new with kids. It’s not a living camper if you look at high end campers. We loved the big open living area as we mainly used it for weekends at the lake or a week. We never had the first issue out of this camper for 6 years of owner ship. Everything always worked as it should trusted everything about it. We sold because looking into higher end couples camper. We own this RV. We've owned it for about a year now. We have NEVER had any issues with fit or finish. We were shocked to read the negative comments posted about this model of travel trailer. We thought we were placing an ad, not posting to a public forum. This particular travel trailer that we own is in new condition. Everything works fine. We are selling because we would like to purchase our friend's Class C motorhome. Our dealership is a small, family-owned business with a five-star reputation. They have record sales, and PUMA is one of their brands. We trust that if we have any issues, they will fix them promptly. They stand behind their sales. Just because a few people are disgruntled, doesn't mean that every PUMA is a bad trailer. Show less

We've owned all kinds of RV's, from 36' Grand Junction fifth wheel, smaller 30' Southwind Class A gas, to 37' to 42' diesel pushers. This 30' trailer, however, is our first at this type and size. I looked at Arctic Fox, Jayco White Hawk, Grand Design Imagine, and Keystone. This unit came in below $30k, including a new Blue Ox 4 point hitch (installed), electric fireplace below the 40" tv, 21' electric awning, 2 slide toppers, outside refer, electric burner, bbq that mounts on the bumper, Dexter torsion axles, solar pre-wire, rear camera pre-wire, double doors with swing down steps, outside speakers and tv mount, double 36" deep slides, electric stabilizers, electric tongue jack, and more.It was only used lightly, and tires (rated for 70 mph) look nearly. The front kitchen is my wife's prize, with a large front window of automotive glass. This unit is now under Forest River ownership, but the Palomino quality standards are still enforced at their original plant. Show less

This camper has been a pain in my butt since we bought it new. 1st trip out and had to call a repairman to put the slide out in. The kitchen drawer stops broke. Had them repaired and now I can't open them all the way. Every water connection, bathroom sink, shower, kitchen sink, and toilet leaked while were camping. Still have a leak somewhere around the low water drain. The water pump didn't work. There was a dead short that kept blowing the fuse. The trim work is coming loose. The original bathroom sink faucet wouldn't shut off so we replaced it. We're stuck with it! Show less

This is a classy looking camper with just the right features for comfortable camping for those who are looking for a streamlined RV experience. With added solar, it's possible to boondock for days and keep the fridge running. With wifi booster, one can work remotely from the road! Bed is comfy and windows provide lots of natural light and awareness of surroundings. Two zone audio system makes it nice to listen to radio or podcasts while cooking or relaxing. Light weight makes this reasonable for towing with an SUV. Lots of storage space allows for easy access to clothes, food, and equipment for outdoor activities. Show less

Roof seal was incorrectly layed missing the front/sidewall joint on the right corner where water collected and seeped into walls causing the front portion to separate from the sides and outside walls to warp. Contacted Palomino really just for a suggestion on how to fix and they just put the blamed on me saying I didn't follow the owners manual and reseal it twice a year. Didn't offer any type of solution, just a not our problem attitude. Keep in mind the seal didn't fail, the craftsmanship and QC failed. Also low score on the floor layout as a friend has the same style of camper made by Keystone and it has twice the storage capacity. Show less
