I'm new to the full time RV lifestyle having thought for years about simplifying my life and licing with less and eliminating my living expenses. I settled on the EV-1 travel trailer from Revolve after going up and visiting a used 2020 model locally. Unfortunately I could not go purchase and sent my boyfriend to go purchase and after 7 long hours of waiting for him to return from the 200 mile round trip (the dealer took forever) I helped spot hit to back it into our side driveway only to realize he bought me a EV-2. So okay no slide, different shower mirror flipped interior. I spent about an hour sitting in it and decided to suck it up buttercup and get over it. Main differences dinette is on awning side instead of kitchen and shower is wider but shorter. I focused on the pros not the cons. I've been living in it full time 9 months and while there have been solar struggles I am learning to resolve with help from a solar tech, I am happy with my purchase. I do however have suggestions for Palomino and suggestions for improvement. - Give the option to not have a dinette, this area of my RV is now cube storage and when I have time I will remove the dinette base and reconfigure for a recliner and cube shelves. - Clean up after manufacture seriously an hour and a vacumn getting all sawdust and loose screws and nails out of compartments, ensure plumbing connections are tight and not leaking including the faucet that is just sitting in hole unsecured - Use screws on cabinetry not metal staples all my dinette cabinetry have broken or collapsed in the case of overhead cabinets - Provide access to the area behind the pre mounted TV if you are not going to pre-wire for RV link antennae (purchased separately for roughly $300) - PROVIDE the SOLAR equipment powerpoint to all buyers (the one that took me a month of back and forth to get) - Mount the solar controller on the exterior wall not on the wall behind the jacknife sofa as hanging upside down trying to read it upside down is ridiculous - Seal the roof and edges of exterior I have had moisture and water around every exterior edge, window and door - Use a better frame cabinet under convection micro the microwave door hangs on the lip and eventually locks shut which meant it had to be pulled out of rig and thrown away - Needs an outlet in dinette area - Get rid of the teeny bit of carpet on sides of bed platform what is the point you can't stand on it its like a 10x10 Square Now those of you reading this probably figure that is a lot of problems/suggestions. Fact is if you live in an RV you need to learn to adapt and repair as needed. It is hard to even get support or help from people because the minute you say your rig is propane free everyone has judgements and then add in you are a female solo camper and you get all the comments and jibes. I bought this model because I wanted one built for solar and going off grid not retrofit into my storage. I love the concept I think Forest RIver just needs a better way to support us than directing us to download an online PDF manual for all their lines that doesn't support half of the equipment in the Revolve Rig as we don';t run off propane at all. Oh and I still need to figure out how to actually get the hot water heater working some may think that is a problem but when you are 6'1" and your shower stall is only 5'10' you need hot water for dishes not bathing.

My wife and I like the overall design, but it is very short on storage, and the quality control was pretty bad. There are only 2 tiny "cabinets" inside that are little more than cubby holes. Palomino/Real lite should install a ceiling mounted rail system that can accept a variety of baskets and other storage containers (plus, this gets more accessory sales for them and the dealer). Quality control issues: - There's a huge gap where the exterior molding wraps down across the back roof on one side - I'll be sealing it to match the other side shortly. - We got the Badlands package and the battery was wired reverse (5 minutes with a volt meter and I found this)into the solar charge controller, and... - ...the 2nd battery isn't internally wired into the electrical system (I'll be tracking that one down shortly). - The Thule roof rack wasn't assembled correctly, with one of the pilings not connected properly. - Numerous screws and nuts are in at steep angles, or not all the way in, leaving part of the screw holes exposed to the elements. - One of the roof raising jacks was incorrectly adjusted so that at full height, the right front of the roof was 3-4 inches lower than the other side and the canvas wasn't taught. I adjusted the cut off switch to its maximum height and now it works. Sort of... First, the jack runs slower than all the other jacks, so falls behind and has to run much longer than the others to fully elevate the roof. Second, the jack stops short of fully extended and I have to lightly push outward on the piston to get it to go up to the full height (I can hear the switch click on when I push on the piston). - The interior wiring that runs along the edge of the ceiling isn't consistently anchored, so big loops hang down and show behind the short cosmetic curtain rimming the ceiling, which... -... looks like it was installed by someone who had too much to drink - it varies from 3 inches, to ~6 inches out from the side wall. These are just the things we've found over 5 nights of camping and are not confidence inspiring. This could be a great little camper if Palomino/Real Lite would just put maybe a hour more labor and QC into it. As it sits, the unit feels like it was slapped together and sent out the door as quickly as possible with little pride in workmanship. I'd strongly advise buyers to carefully inspect their individual unit top to bottom before purchasing. On the plus side, it's pretty comfortable for 2 and a medium size dog, and the mattress is amazingly good. It also fits our diesel Chevy Colorado long bed (6') very well, and with a set of 1500lb Sumo springs, the truck is level and drives great. (We get ~25mpg on the Interstate drafting big rigs at 68mph.) Knowing what we know, I'm not sure we'd buy a Palomino-built product again, and certainly not this individual unit. Still, we'll give this unit a go for while.

Our truck camper has been great. It is well constructed and the layout works wonderfully. It has many features with tv hookup inside and out, am/fm radio with CD player, plus air conditioning which our last one did not. For a truck camper this unit has a lot of storage and we can easily fit all that we need to travel for a couple of weeks. Although it will not fit through the rock formations on Needles Highway in SD. It has an inside shower, but we really love the outdoor shower. My husband design a shower curtain for this area so it is more convenient to use. It has been a lot of fun. The only reason we are selling it is because we are recently retired and travel with our horses. We are looking for a horse trailer with a larger living area to spend winters in warmer weather.
