We purchased the Lance product new in August 2022. Less than 24 months ago. We were sold on the "Lance difference, and better quality". Being our third rv, we went ahead, even though they are more money. MISTAKE. We have had nothing short of issue after issue, some catastrophic, some minor. But they started immediately. The quality and workmanship simply isnt there. Won't bore you with the problems, however they are trip ending issues. As for support from Lance brand, we'll thats still to be determined. Show less

We bought this trailer "new" even through it's a 2022 from a dealer a few months ago. While we love a lot about it from an esthetic and layout viewpoint, the overall build quality has been nothing but disappointing. There a many issues that began from the start and they keep coming. 1. The door is very difficult to open and close and doesn't seal properly. Light can be seen coming in through the bottom. Despite constant adjustments to the latch, it doesn't seem to help at all. I seems as if the door isn't hung properly or is warped. 2. We just had a major flooding issue when water leaked through the closet side wall of the bathroom when attempting to connect a hose to the outside connection. We had to open the back panel in the rear storage area to find the internal collar that's supposed to seal everything had completely come off. There was nothing to hold it in place when an outside hose is disconnected; not even plumber's thread tape. Apparently the last time we unscrewed a hose, the inside collar seal unscrewed with it. Unacceptable! 3. The bathroom sink is plumbed to the black tank, not the gray tank. This poses several problems. The most serious being the camper fills with methane gas whenever the sink is open and could potentially result in an explosion, not to mention the entire trailer smelling like a sewer. It also means the black tank will fill that much quicker when boondocking than it would it the sink was plumbed into the gray tank. Also, there is no "J" or "P" trap to keep a layer of water that would seal off this potentially dangerous gas from filling the camper. 4. We also recently discovered that there is no power to the roof antenna. 5. The outside shower doesn't work at all. The TV doesn't connect to the soundbar. It won't even work when connected with external HDMI cables. The primary point of the soundbar is to enhance the quality of the TV's audio and the dealer's service department says they don't think they're supposed to be connected. The soundbar works for radio, but not TV event though it has a direct HDMI input in the front. We've tried 3 cables and nothing. 6. Trim over the dining table is bowed and there is a long strip of glue that was applied directly below the trim strip. 7. The clear coating on the overhead kitchen cabinets is delaminating. 8. There was no snaps or vent cover on the vent over the main sleeping area; just where you want one most. There is on the other 3 vent openings. The dealer said that this didn't have one. Why would you have one for 3 vent openings and not the one that pours sunlight in on you while sleeping at the crack of dawn? Also there are 4 small holes in the trim that look like the snap attachments should have gone there and it looks like they just forgot this detail in construction and missed it upon inspection, if they even do that before shipping to the dealer. 9. Several of the window shade won't stay up; a major adjust or replacement is needed. On top of all these issues, we've had to make minor repairs and adjustments on our own. As previous travel trailer owners, we are not rookies and this is to be expected as time goes on, but not when it's new. Lance has a reputation for being a higher quality build than other travel trailer brands. Based on our experience so far, it is not deserved. It's a lot of money to spend on a travel trailer and we're worried we bought a lemon! Show less

So here's the situation ... I do like my Lance 1985. The trailer is new (2022) and still under warranty. This spring the black water gate valve started leaking. As many of you probably know, that makes a mess when you go to dump the tanks. I took the trailer in to the dealer in May and they ordered a replacement valve from Lance on June 1. I have called the dealer several times to see when the part would come in, and they basically said they have no idea. So I started contacting Lance customer service directly, both by email and phone calls. Phone calls go directly to voice mail. In the past 3 weeks I have emailed twice and called 3 times. No reply, nothing. This is horrible customer service/warranty support. If I had this to do over again, I think I would have gone with another manufacturer. Show less

Good small travel trailer. Better quality than most brands. Easy to pull with a 1/2 ton V8 truck. Very well insulated and cooled. Larger tank sizes than comparable size travel trailers. Space saving murphy bed. Show less

This is our second Lance. We are in the process of upgrading to a model 2465. We are very happy with are campers. They are lite weight and are easy to pull. The electric jacks make it very easy to set up. The interior is very functional. The details are beautifully made. Like anything today you get what you pay for the quality shows! There is also plenty of storage inside and outside. The queen bed is great! We added a pillow top it's very comfortable and there is plenty of space around to walk. The camper is a 4-season which keeps all the holding tanks from freezing when you go camping late season a great feature. The bottom of the camper is all sealed you won't get any critters nesting for the winter either! The other thing that I liked is the material that it is made of will not rot or mildew like some other campers on the market today That is why my wife and I love our lance. This is my wife and I 2nd Lance.We upgraded to a model 1985 we bought it brand new. We went from a single axle model 1575 to a dual axle. This tows better and is easier to back up. This model also has the largest bathroom and closet space for storage. The other reason is the 4-season package it is well insulated for colder weather. The bed is a queen we added a pillow top it made a big difference very comfortable for sleeping. We only used it in the summer two or three times a year it a great camper very comfortable easy to set up. We don't smoke. We are retired kids all grown up. The reason we are selling we are upgrading again to a newer model lance that we ordered it will be in early summer can't wait. Lance makes a beautiful and very functional camper well worth it! purchased a slightly used lance 1685 nothing but problems with slide and main Door, dealer replaced main door because of broken open latch with a tension door and door doesn't operate correctly Slide out having issues broke molding on inside, and appears to be off track. Dealer wants 1000. to repair after replacing with incorrect main door. Show less

I really liked all the clever design features on this rig. The large sink, and 3 closets and under-bed storage really make use of the space in a very efficient way. The composting toilet is 100 times better than having to deal with dumping black water and all the accompanying smells and mess. Solar setup is great and can last several days without sunshine with the Tesla battery system. I love it! Show less

In 2013 after very little Hwy mileage, while parked, the water tank fell out of our Lance 1985. Lance would not return our calls or emails. This could have caused a catastrophic accident on the HWY. Now it is completely rotten. The floor is full of rot and it leaks everywhere. it is now basically garbage. Show less

After MUCH research we decided Lance and Airstream are equal in quality and design. Our research included talking with owners of mNy kinds and going in them. We bought a Lance and drove 200 miles home with no problems. They are tough built. Show less
