Overall our Lance 1995 is very well constructed. We have experienced a few issues with trim falling off including the baseboard at the bottom of the dinette slide. We had to have a refrigerator replaced due to my leaving the refrigerator door open when I retracted the dinette slide and cracking the interior of the refrigerator. It was difficult to get hold of the factory to schedule replacement of the refrigerator. I didn't trust the dealer to do the job. But once the service was scheduled at the factory they did a good job replacing the refrigerator even fabricating a new trim piece because the refrigerator was a slightly different form factor.

If I'm going to be looking for another trailer to buy in the future it will for sure be a Lance.

The trailer needed factory parts for repair. After repeatedly being informed that we would be getting a tracking number next week I placed a call to the manufacturer in Lancaster, California to be told that there is between a six and eight week wait for parts. I stated that it had already been 12 weeks and we are still waiting. I was informed again said it would be 6-8 weeks before we get the parts since they can’t get the parts from their vendor. It stymies me to know that this same place where they are manufacturing these trailers are able to get the parts for their production but aren’t able to get them to customers who have purchased a product. It makes me feel that they don’t care about me now, and only cared about me when I made a purchase.

We are newly retired and new to RVing but have alot of experience sailing our 40 foot boat which has many of the systems that a travel trailer uses. All travel trailers are poorly constructed...Some however are less badly constructed than others...We chose the Lance 1995 because we wanted (i) to avoid wood construction in a trailer, (ii) good tankage (45 gal b/g/w tanks and 3 20-lb propane), (iii) 4-season capability with heated tanks, (iv) double axle, lightness and good aerodynamics for towing, walk around queen bed that converts to a sofa for day/reading, (v) separate shower. We've been on two extended trips and this unit has impressed us with its docile towing on the road and comfort in camp. It became apparent to us that driving across the continent across rough roads, hills and traffic, any trailer will take quite a pounding. Everything is moving and shifting - part works against part. A key activity in your daily routine is inspecting what day to day travel is doing to your coach. If you are not interested in that sort of activity (or worse...if you are not interested in mechanical things and how they work) RVing will require that you have a network of service support to keep you on the road (and you will likely not be impressed by any trailer you purchase...). We are enjoying our Lance and do not regret the purchase. We are heading off for three months this winter and are sure that our activities will really put this coach to the test.

Storage throughout. Lance really does a beautiful job with storage compartments inside and out.
Hard to let it go but leaning towards earning pilot licenses and flying.

When we bought our Lance 1995 the dealer wisely had us purchase an Equalizer hitch to pull it behind our Ford F-150. It pulls easily and have not had any issues towing it. It's a comfortable trailer with a lot of storage. The corner bath is accessible with the slide in, which was a real selling point. Camping in early spring in the Steen's Mountain area made us appreciate the furnace overnight. It's well ducted thru out the trailer including the bathroom. It's also ducted to keep each of the 45 gallon the storage tanks warm. And with three propane tanks, you won't easily run out. We've had no serious problems over the past two years and I would recommend people consider Lance Trailers for the quality of the build.

Bought new and have been nothing but frustrated. Slide out was recalled because it would go out crooked and get stuck. After 3 months finally fixed (sort of). Recently got stuck again, so going back into shop. Domestic stove recalled in February. Had it plugged (stove unusable) so we could pressurize system and use propane. Parts are still not available for permanent fix. Curtis Trailers provided number to Dometic. Dometic said could not help, and to go through Service Center. Lance is giving the old shoulder shrug. Lance used to be a great brand. Steer clear unless you enjoy shoddy workmanship, and abysmal customer service.
