Gulf Stream VINTAGE CRUISER 19RBS reviews

We bought new a Gulfstream Vintage Cruiser RSS. The drop down menu here did not have our RV listed so I plugged in the closest I could find on that list. This RV has been junk from the day we bought it. Do not buy Gulfstream. Wiring harnesses not connected, screws pulled out of the table during hauling and table was on the floor when we opened the door. Table and everything else is made of very cheap materials. The "woody" outside decals are peeling off. Looks so bad I am embarrassed to pull the camper out on the road. Gulfstream said we have to pay them $2,000.00 for enough decals to cover just the front and one side. Then we have to pay $100 per hour to have them installed. Sitting at the table and pieces of paneling trim simply fall off onto the floor. Skylights fell apart and had to be replaced. Chrome hub caps all rusted. Lid on storage tube for sewer pipe broke. Cheap bed mattress had to be replaced. Black water tank continually gets plugged up and will not completely empty. Shower so small very hard and dangerous to get in and out of. Very little cabinet storage in kitchen. Very poor design on awning arms. Continually hitting and cutting our heads on those arms. When we left the dealership the RV swayed so bad on the interstate we could not get over 50 mph. Had to add leveler and sway bars in order to haul. Do not buy Gulfstream. Show less

Nice unit! However, Gulf Stream has a long way to go in customer service. This unit is a good value however its design is at its limits. The axle on this unit is not beefy enough for a full rig on a week long boon dock. I had the axle break. I looked at the rating for the vehicle and axle and realized the vehicle will be overloaded if you have anything more than single suitcase per adult. I had the axle brake on the road, lost the right rear wheel and tire. Since it is single axle, I went back with a 2.5 Ton axle and it rides on better tires now too! When the axle gave way the wheel tore the plastic fender skirt to shreds. Given the price, I don't hold the cheapness of the trim against them, it is the customer service that is awful. I called to replace the Red Fender Skirt(purely cosmetic). I had the most awful customer service person, tell me I have to drive seven hours to a dealer for a cheap plastic part. This is absurd! The reps response was; "Company Policy". Well welcome to Gulf Stream Customer Service. My Company policy is to avoid buying from them again! Show less

I really like this RV with the walk around bed. Pleanty interior lighting, radio with speakers inside and out. Big bathroom with a great vanity, and medicine cabinet. Lots of storage throughout the rv including pass through storage outside. Show less

Great trailer. Tows nice, warranty claims were handled quickly, right size and layout for two people. 5000 mile trip to Yellowstone NP went off without a hitch. Company supports after sale. For instance----We attended the first annual Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser Rally in South Higgins Lake State Park Michigan September 13-16. Had a great time making new friends. 32 families in attendance. There were activities, pot luck, and Gulf Stream support,(Gulf Stream had 2 representatives in attendance, brought a trailer and a couple of dealers). They catered a full dinner one evening and also had a question and answer session. We also attended the camper show in Novi MI a couple weeks ago. Gulf Stream was there supporting a dealer. My wife and I purchased this RV 4 months ago after “tenting” for years and are very happy with the upgrade! My wife loved the vintage look when she spotted it at the RV show in Novi, MI. We ended speaking wit a representative from Vicars trailers located in Taylor, MI and found out they had a brand new 2016 on there lot that they could give us a good deal on. We’ve been very pleased this far with the Gulfstream 19RBS, the floor plan and size of 23 feet fits our small family well and being a first time RV owner/user, it’s fairly straight forward to use. We’ve had no issues so far in our few trips with it. Definitely would recommend the Gulfstream vintage cruiser 19RBS! Show less

After 2+ years, dozens & dozens of campgrounds around the USA, and well over 18,000 miles, my wife and I find this travel trailer to be very dependable and make us smile every day we use it. Not that there aren't small issues occasionally, but overall...it's great. The retro look is something that starts a conversation at every campground. People are just naturally attracted to the retro style and come up to us, (wanting to see it closer) and ask questions. We love it. Show less
