Gulf Stream BT Cruiser reviews

I have not owned my BT 5240 long. I have not camped in it, but the floor plan is fantastic considering the size. I have owned 18 - 35’ tow behind travel trailers & my last RV being a gas 38’ class A. I towed my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited cross country with ease in the Class A. I did a drive with the BT towing same and did not like how the BT handles. Without towing it is a pleasure to drive. I feel the wheel base is too short for towing a vehicle that is about as long as the RV when you add in the length of the tow bar. When entering a curve there is a bit of a delay then it dives in whereupon you have to counter steer. If I find there is something I can do to correct this negative attribute I’ll edit this review. That said, I won’t be towing with the BT until then. Quality is average. While winterizing I found to sharp wood screws securing framing gouging the water tank 😠. Half the screws holding the rear lights were coming out because they were not long enough to bite into the fiberglass shell. Why aren’t tank heaters standard equipment ? Show less
