We have had nothing but issues with this camper since we bought it. Here is a list of things the dealer has fixed for us. This camper has been at our dealer more than we have been in it camping. Our dealer has been great and none of these issues are their fault. 1. Water heater needed fixed 2. Water tank came from the factory with a hole in it. 3. Gas regulator and hose leaked and had to be replaced. 4. Electric jack stopped working and needed replaced. 5. The antenna and WIFI wasn't hooked up from the factory. 6. The black tank flush check valve was installed in reverse. 7. The heater quit working. 8. All of the heater hoses are disintegrating. 9. Two of our tires went bad. 10. Trim on the outside came loose. 11. The end trim on the awning flew off going down the road. 12. One of the jacks folded up while in use. 13. The frameless windows are all stuck shut and knobs strip if you force them. 14. The one window in the slide out leaked from the factory. 15. The table had staples sticking out the top from them using ones to long. 16.The refrigerator stopped working and needs fixed. 17. I have to reset the electrical system to get the air-conditioner to work right now. 18. The black tank gauge has read full since we bought it. 19. The awning needed fixed.

I have had a GREAT experience with this trailer during the 6 years have owned it. It is a much better design than a traditional tear drop since you can stand up in it. I like the 2019 layout better the newer ones because there is more counter space. Never needed warranty or support so I assuming it's average. We have camped comfortably in the rain and snow. I found that the screen room needs two people to set-up. My only issues have been with the zipper and tent poles for the screen room. I had a upholster but in a heavy duty zipper. Coleman tent pole replacements can be found at Meyer or similar.

The quality of this camper is horrible. First time out with camper, the cupboard doors, drawers, and refrigerator door were all open with the contents spilled everywhere. None of the latching systems are adequate. Had to add bungy cords on everything. One drawer bottom broke loose. Drawer construction is a joke. Had to rebuild the drawer. More repairs will likely be required. After a few short trips, discovered a leak hidden under the bed. The access hatch under the bed wouldn't open due to crooked construction. Had to remove and modify the access panel to access the leak. The floor sagged in one corner of the camper causing the door to have a gap. Camper wall was crooked. Camper sent back to the Forest River for repairs. Lift system brackets came loose repeatedly. Tightened and repaired twice myself, then by the Dealer but came loose the first time it was used when I picked up the camper. Still waiting for repairs by General RV. At this time, General RV and Forest River have had possession of my camper for 8 months of the first year of ownership and it's still not usable.

Had it to the dealer for repairs. 2nd trip out, the furnace quit working. Paid to have an RV repairman come look at it. 3rd trip out, the wallpaper is falling off of the walls, Linoleum is rolling up off of the floor, replaced 3 regulator’s and the AC quit working. Trailer had a 1 year warranty. Run as far away from this cheap unit as possible! Not worth over $30 k.

WARNING!! DO NOT purchase a Forest River Toy Hauler! The Ramp Doors they use allows water to enter at the top, and then run down the side of the ramp door undetected to the bottom of the ramp door, where it runs beneath the ramp door sill and under the vinyl floor covering (again, undetected). The Insulation used beneath the floor, rather than waterproof foamboard, is like the fiberglass used in older homes that acts as a “sponge” to soak up and hold the water and moisture under the flooring for years, causing MAJOR damage and wood rot beneath the vinyl floor covering. I purchased a NEW Toy Hauler Travel Trailer, and after just 6 years, the undetected water leaking around the Ramp Door and through the uncaulked gap between the vinyl floor covering and the ramp door bottom sill, caused all 2" X 2" Floor Joists, Insulation, Wall Studs, and Flooring Plywood beneath the vinyl floor covering to rot from the water damage. Although much of the plywood atop the 2” X 2” Floor Joists was still strong and firm (further allowing the issue to be undetected), the wood damage beneath the plywood reached nearly 15 feet into the 30’ trailer from the ramp door. Forest River limits their warranty to just 1 year, with NO EXCEPTIONS. Their position on undetected flaws and issues that are not discovered within their 12 month warranty period is “Too Bad, so sad” and “that sucks for you”! They take NO responsibility for their defects, including those that are hidden or undetected for years. Save yourself the headache, and heartache, that a Forest River Toy Hauler will give you. Unlike Forest River, there are better quality manufacturers out there that will take responsibility for an unknown “flaw” discovered in their product.

This is a great singles or couples coach. I love the countertop space and the light colors. The fridge is a great size, and I like that it will run on the 12V while driving down the road, which I think is much safer than driving with the propane on. The solar panel on the roof does a good job of keeping the battery charged, but if you want to boondock you need to add another battery or upgrade to a Lithium. On the negative side, there are no drawers for the kitchen and storage above the bed is difficult to reach without a step stool. The curved storage also makes it hard to best utilize the space. The couch is comfy for sitting but a little hard, and like putting my feet up so will likely switch out for a recliner in the future. Love the bike and kayak rack, but have yet to figure out how to get the kayak up on the roof as a solo. The awning lights did not last long, although they function the colors are all mixed up already and some of the lights out.

I fell in love with this travel trailer when I saw it. It has a separate bedroom in the front. It has two lounge chairs that have a heated seats and message. It has a electric fireplace with a small oven and a full size refrigerator. A good size bathroom. There is plenty of storage.. However we have had nothing but trouble with this unit. We bought it new from our dealership. We ordered it so we waited almost 6 months for the unit. We are snowbirds so we live in it 3-4 months a year plus other small trips. Since having this unit (2 yr)the fireplace went out. The air conditioner went out. The refrigerator went out. The service department at the dealership has been wonderful to work with However the factory is difficult to get ahold of. It has been a disappointment as we have owned other travel trailer and not had this much trouble. Just beware the Coachman Freedom Express is a beautiful travel trailer but it is not well made if you want to live in it for any time.

Hi there. so... I spent 3 months doing research on different trailers, shapes, sizes, slide out vs tip outs, whatever. I chose the zinger 259 as it's classed as a couple's trailer. I chose this particular unit because of the floor layout. And I absolutely love it. it's very comfortable handy and accessible. What I don't like about it, is that when it got really cold out, I had to remove some of the false panellings, to Circulate air. This was to ensure heat was dispersed evenly throughout the floor. I also really dislike these stairs that fold inside of your trailerdoor instead of under the trailer. There is so much wasted space in this trailer under the kitchen sink one shelf, then they closed in the bottom shelf for no particular reason. The front of the trailer is wasted space, no access. Cupboard under stove absolutely useless and empty. Could be used for pots and pants. There is a hose access on the exterior of the trailer to help with flushing of the black tank. (This was a selling feature.) I took the false cover off the bathroom under the sink, I found that, that hose is twisted and unusable. (Will be repaired) I also found that in a lot of cases the electrical in this trailer is so tight, if I hit a bump going down the road it's going to break wires, and have no connections, there's no extra bounce room on the electrical wiring. There is no filter system on the furnace to protect it from drawing in hair, dirt of any kind. The furnace only worked for 7 weeks before having to have it serviced. To find out that most of the Problem is in fact that it doesn't have a Filter system. The heating ducts in the floor were full of sawdust and for that matter so were the ones for the air conditioning in the ceiling. I was covered in sawdust the first time I turned on the ac unit. The interior walls under the cabinets, Are absolutely riddled with holes. Like they drilled the hole (Without breaking the exterior skin of the trailer.) for the exit of the furnace and then change their mind only to put it somewhere else but didn't fill the hole. So much for the winter package you paid extra for. this has happened on more than one occasion as I said I opened up all of the false cubies. The stabilizers used on this trailer, there's one in the front and one in the back. I don't like them. I want all 4 individuals stabilizers. Like the ones I had on my other trailer. So you can actually level your trailer. With these 2 electric Scissor Jack one in front 1 in back you can't level this trailer, impossible. Be careful out there people and have fun camping, enjoy your day. Whoever comes up with conception of these trailers really needs to spend 6 months living in one because they have no clue no clue how to go camping no clue what they're doing on floor layouts sleeping accommodatissues and the fact that these beds are impossible to sleep on. Thanks
