This is a great singles or couples coach. I love the countertop space and the light colors. The fridge is a great size, and I like that it will run on the 12V while driving down the road, which I think is much safer than driving with the propane on. The solar panel on the roof does a good job of keeping the battery charged, but if you want to boondock you need to add another battery or upgrade to a Lithium. On the negative side, there are no drawers for the kitchen and storage above the bed is difficult to reach without a step stool. The curved storage also makes it hard to best utilize the space. The couch is comfy for sitting but a little hard, and like putting my feet up so will likely switch out for a recliner in the future. Love the bike and kayak rack, but have yet to figure out how to get the kayak up on the roof as a solo. The awning lights did not last long, although they function the colors are all mixed up already and some of the lights out.

I fell in love with this travel trailer when I saw it. It has a separate bedroom in the front. It has two lounge chairs that have a heated seats and message. It has a electric fireplace with a small oven and a full size refrigerator. A good size bathroom. There is plenty of storage.. However we have had nothing but trouble with this unit. We bought it new from our dealership. We ordered it so we waited almost 6 months for the unit. We are snowbirds so we live in it 3-4 months a year plus other small trips. Since having this unit (2 yr)the fireplace went out. The air conditioner went out. The refrigerator went out. The service department at the dealership has been wonderful to work with However the factory is difficult to get ahold of. It has been a disappointment as we have owned other travel trailer and not had this much trouble. Just beware the Coachman Freedom Express is a beautiful travel trailer but it is not well made if you want to live in it for any time.

Hi there. so... I spent 3 months doing research on different trailers, shapes, sizes, slide out vs tip outs, whatever. I chose the zinger 259 as it's classed as a couple's trailer. I chose this particular unit because of the floor layout. And I absolutely love it. it's very comfortable handy and accessible. What I don't like about it, is that when it got really cold out, I had to remove some of the false panellings, to Circulate air. This was to ensure heat was dispersed evenly throughout the floor. I also really dislike these stairs that fold inside of your trailerdoor instead of under the trailer. There is so much wasted space in this trailer under the kitchen sink one shelf, then they closed in the bottom shelf for no particular reason. The front of the trailer is wasted space, no access. Cupboard under stove absolutely useless and empty. Could be used for pots and pants. There is a hose access on the exterior of the trailer to help with flushing of the black tank. (This was a selling feature.) I took the false cover off the bathroom under the sink, I found that, that hose is twisted and unusable. (Will be repaired) I also found that in a lot of cases the electrical in this trailer is so tight, if I hit a bump going down the road it's going to break wires, and have no connections, there's no extra bounce room on the electrical wiring. There is no filter system on the furnace to protect it from drawing in hair, dirt of any kind. The furnace only worked for 7 weeks before having to have it serviced. To find out that most of the Problem is in fact that it doesn't have a Filter system. The heating ducts in the floor were full of sawdust and for that matter so were the ones for the air conditioning in the ceiling. I was covered in sawdust the first time I turned on the ac unit. The interior walls under the cabinets, Are absolutely riddled with holes. Like they drilled the hole (Without breaking the exterior skin of the trailer.) for the exit of the furnace and then change their mind only to put it somewhere else but didn't fill the hole. So much for the winter package you paid extra for. this has happened on more than one occasion as I said I opened up all of the false cubies. The stabilizers used on this trailer, there's one in the front and one in the back. I don't like them. I want all 4 individuals stabilizers. Like the ones I had on my other trailer. So you can actually level your trailer. With these 2 electric Scissor Jack one in front 1 in back you can't level this trailer, impossible. Be careful out there people and have fun camping, enjoy your day. Whoever comes up with conception of these trailers really needs to spend 6 months living in one because they have no clue no clue how to go camping no clue what they're doing on floor layouts sleeping accommodatissues and the fact that these beds are impossible to sleep on. Thanks

Staples used to construct intire structure...firing strips equivalent for main structure..half glued and half not. The slide header is a piece of shit and rots out almost immediately. Aluminum on outside is paper-thin and is stapled...poorest quality in construction I ever saw and I've been in the business for almost 40 years...build one more and QUIT!

We purchased this trailer as an upgrade from our RPod and it’s a monster upgrade! It goes so well with our F150 and Reese weight distribution hitch - I hardly know it’s there. On its maiden voyage, we took it boondocking (dry camping). We were hit with a torrential downpour for 3 full days and the trailer was water tight - no leaks! The all terrain tires handled the logging roads perfectly! Only downfall was the amount of MUD that covered the trailer and truck due to the rains. The one thing I noted was the battery - we opted with one 12v deep cycle to reduce the tongue weight. This battery died the first night. This NEVER happed with our RPod (it ran two 6v batteries and I could dry camp for a week solid with it). I ‘think’ what happened is I ran the water pump to allow the flush toilet and running water and this drained the battery. I would highly recommend that coachman move the electronic controls in future models to be by the door and not in the bathroom - they’re just too ‘out of sight; out of mind so it’s easy to forget you left something on). We then took it for a week to a full hookup site. No issues with anything (water, sewer, water leaks due to rain, awning, etc). One thing to note is the lack of quality in all cabinet door hinges - we had to remove one door above the stove as it stripped right out. Other doors are all doing the same thing. I’ll be taking it back to the dealer to fix under warranty (I’d fix it myself by installing a dowel and re-drilling but I do t want to void my warranty). Same with the blind attachments - one of the screws stripped in the lower bunk where our son was so the blind just hangs (easy fix with a drywall anchor to give the screw something g to bite into - I had the same issue with the RPod blind screws too). This unit also came with solar but the charge controller is a Victron unit that is not Bluetooth compatible. It’s the cheapest controller that Victron produces. I’ll be upgrading this to a different model so I can see what’s happening with my solar system and battery, but that’s what I would call a trailer modification and not an ‘issue’. We had 2 nice days where the sun came out and was HOT (27C) out of 14 days (bizarre July weather this year). The Maxfan was amazing as we just cracked a window and ran the fan and this provided so much cooking we didn’t need the AC. If I was in the RPod we would have needed AC but this was amazing! The layout and floor plan on this model is incredible. A friend of mine who had had dozens of trailers over his 30 years of RVing said this layout is one of the best he’s ever seen in a trailer. I’m also pleased to see that manufacturers are now putting the dinette in the slide as opposed to a kitchen - NEVER buy a trailer that has a kitchen on a slide as you never want your hoses and pipes moving around (I’ve had several friends break pipes in their slides as their kitchen was in the slide and not the dinette). So this is an added bonus for Coachman’s designers to move away from this flaw that other trailers have! I would totally buy and recommend this trailer again or another Apex Nano model.

I would give a -5 if possible - I purchased a new 2021 29fkts Cataline from Country Camper in Epson NH. Specifically because Country Camper offered on site repair and I am seasonal and can't move my camper. They were bought out by RV One super store. After the trailer was delivered to my site there were numerous manufacturing issues - Wall gaps at the seams, fireplace disconnected from the wall, side wall not connected to front wall under countertop, scratch in countertop and floor, slider leaked damaging the rug, bathroom sink leaks that molded the cabinet. I reported all issues and County camper did not have the parts to repair. Now RV One is the owner and they will not honor the on site repair and I have a camper that has many issues. I can't move it because there is a 3 season room attached. Catalina Warranty is of no help unless I can find a dealership that will make on site repairs and I can't remove the screen room and get it towed.

The only problem we had was a broken wire in the Dometic refrigerator which caused the whole thing to freeze. It was promptly repaired by Country Roads RV, who gave us a great deal on the trailer. It came with many amenities not found on trailers this size. I highly recommend Coachman products.

Our first RV, we bought it in April 2021. We were pleased with the price and were intentionally looking for something quite small...we have 25 grandkids, and wanted to prevent the "Grandpa, can we sleep in your trailer with you?" conversation when camping with our kids and their families while still having enough room for the two of us and our pup. We've been on four trips so far with it and haven't had any problems with it functionally. The layout suits our needs. Having said that, however, I do have to say that the trailer was shoddily assembled. Cabinet doors misaligned, cabinet hardware incorrectly installed, and the door to the bathroom was so poorly installed that it started to wear a groove in the frame on our first trip. Also, the black water tank leaked at the dump valve on the first trip, but that cleared itself up before we took it back to have everything else fixed by the dealership. So, to recap, we liked the price. It's small and a bit cramped, but that's intentional and suits our needs. However, it was poorly assembled.
