We've had our 5th wheel now since 2019. When it was built great attention was paid to quality control. Around 2020, I think things started to go downhill a bit with Vanleigh & they started to cheap out on cabinetry (plastic vs. wood), components & workmanship! We feel really fortunate to have had this experience with this unit as nothing major has ever gone wrong. Even before we beefed up the suspension, it pulled like a dream. There's about 19K miles on it & no problems at all except for cosmetic furniture breakdown which happens in all RVs that have a particular faux leather but that is not a fault of Vanleigh. Great service center in Tishomingo MS too! We will miss vacationing around in our little apartment on wheels.

I'll start woth what I like. The finishes. Our first trip in this RV, the bottom of one of the cabinets came down. It was just pinned up there. So everything in the cabinet was all over thebrakes. The main closet in the front also came off the back wall and all outer clothes were on the floor. We tried fixing, don't know how it will fair when we leave. Then the 50amp brakes wasn't wired correctly so we had to fix that and get a new braker. The wires under the camper are a total birds nest. You'd think they would be neater. We also had several water leaks that we had to fix because they use cheap plastic parts for the joints. We had two AC units that were freezing up constantly. The roof was laying on top of the returns which wasn't allowing air to flow. So we had to open the vents on the ceiling and put blocking in to create airflow. However, they were still freezing. So we got a tech to come out and he found that two of them had a bad switch? If you send a bill to Vanleigh, they will only cover parts and labor. Mind you, we're living in BFE Texas, because I work on wind farms. So I only got less than half of the bill back. And you better have everything spelled out on the bill they give you when you turn it in or they won't pay it. Oh...it's also hotter than Hadese down here. They claim this is a 4 season RV, but it's not. They basically insulate with bubble wrap. Also, the toilet is electric and we had to unplug the sensor because it kept saying the black tank was full when it wasn't. And would stop flushing the toilet. We got this RV because Vanleigh had a good reputation. But they don't care that your brand new RV is falling apart. Horrible!! Will NEVER buy one of these again!! End rant. It's not worth the price tag!!! Not by a long shot!

We had as I said the greatest fifth wheel or at least I thought so until Hurricane Ian. We were in love with this as our second home in Florida. Six slides with the living room in front, a large kitchen with so much room, bathroom with two sinks and a bedroom with a king size bed and huge closets and so so many cabinets. Even with a 130 mph winds she stood her ground. As other rv‘s and fifth wheels floated in the almost five foot storm surge she held fast. After the storm the outside was untouched but her basements filled with seawater. Her electronic controls compromised. About six inches of seawater came inside and with her slide controls down on floor of the master bedroom was destroyed and without any emergency release her slides would not open. We could only retrieve items in just a few cabinets in the kitchen, panty and us squeezing our arms to get to the cabinets by the massive television in the front living room and retrieve things in in the tall cabinets. We lost a lot of personal items because of the failure of getting any slide open. Our insurance company totaled this fine lady. I feel Vanleigh should really look and change where to place the mother board of the electronics and the main brains to the slides and put a emergency release on a few of the slides. There is not one fifth wheel built to match what we had and now Vanleigh doesn’t even have a six slide rig, shame on you

I live in northern Michigan and have had multiple freeze ups and during temps at or below 15 degrees we can't get the living room above 60 using multiple space heaters. Heated tanks haven't helped a bit. Quality is mediocre. I could have gotten the same for less money with another brand.

Everything is in excellent condition. More than ample counter space makes meal prep and serving a breeze! Storage inside and underneath is unbelievable. We haven’t filled it up yet! The Heating and AC units are quiet and efficient. Once we encountered a Winter Storm and remained warm and toasty for the duration.

How many of you experience sewer smell when you run the bathroom fan, or when you shower? We experienced this after purchasing this coach 2nd hand in July 2021. The smell was a mystery until we took the underbelly off to fix a leaking washer line (manufacture had not connected the lines leading to the washer). We discovered that the toilet was not connected to the black tank. When we flushed the toilet, water ran out over the black tank. We could tell from the rust on the rivets that held the underbelly in place that this was an ongoing problem. Has anyone else experienced these issues: sewer smell in the coach when showering or running the bathroom fan? What was your fix?
