While on our 2nd trip with trailer, we noticed a crease in the vinyl floor in front of the fridge. There is an 18" -+ noticable valley in floor. Looks like an obvious flaw in the underlayment. After months of communication with Grand Design, there only solution is to patch the floor. In a high traffic area this would not last and hurt resale value. Also, the drawers by the front door wobbled and banged up against the door frame. This I fixed with heavy duty Blum sliders that had no side to side play. Grand Design does not back their product, we'll never buy their product again. Show less

Owned this camper since October 2024 and use it at least once a month from Feb - Nov. Over all quality of frame and camper itself is outstanding. Everything else is One-star. All components seem very cheap and the installation of them is comparable to a two year old putting an adult jigsaw puzzle together. Nothing is installed, square or attached properly. Counters are bubbled an warped. Plumbing under the kitchen sink is crooked and not connected properly. Drawers and cabinets are low quality with slides falling off, The mount for the camera on the back of the camper is crocked with screws put in at angles then smeared with excessive silicone to hold everything on place. Sliding doors to bedroom fell off after three trips. recliners screwed to the floor 2 inches from the wall on one side 5-1/2 inches from the wall on the other side. Purchased at Blue Compass and the service manger told me he has campers worth $150,000 - 250,000 he is working one he doesn't have time for my cheap camper. Told us he would never own a camper his idea of vacation is as far from camping as he can get. Awning snapped off where it connects to the arm and Blue Compass has been dragging their feet getting it repaired. Ordering $1400.00 arms so I can repair it myself. Starting to review campers of better quality to replace our Gran Design with in three years. I hope Blue Compass hasn't taken over all camper sales. Grand design has called me five times about a recall they want repaired. Blue Compass denies there is a recall. Tried to put me in the middle of the argument, I refuse their calls now. Basically. You’ll have to get a roof within the first few years. Have a 2023 and it hasn’t even been 3 years yet and a whole roof replacement. Now I’m gonna have to replace the slide roof. Not to mention all the plentiful self repairs I have to make every trip since day one. Folks due your selves a favor and stay away. The news on the street is it’s called Grand Decline for a reason. Scary. Gonna be out another 2-3,000 next month when my Tech moves a 2024 GRAND Decline out for its roof to so my slide roof. Already 10,000 in the whole. Paid for what I thought was quality and got junk. Show less

Nordic Fridge broke in first 5 days. Trim all over coming loose. Outside of bedroom slide separating from top piece. Gaps between slide mechanism and wall letting light in. Will clealrly let bugs and rodents in. Tv not mounted level. Washer Dryer unit door already sagging and bent. Wood valances uneven and need tightened. Trim above toy hauler door and seem tape all ripped and jagged. Ball that goes to hidden section behind TV rolled away during the drive home. Walls around base of garage are already starting to stain from... standard garage use. I have not even loaded a side by side yet. Edges of framless windows has peeling tint. Counter in bathroom not solid surface, thats where you needed it. Show less

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Grand Design. For more than a year, I have dealt with repeated issues and defects with my trailer, many of which have made the unit completely unusable. Despite multiple attempts to seek support and a resolution, the process has been slow, frustrating, and has required constant follow-up on my part. My RV has spent months in storage because it cannot be safely or reliably used, yet I have continued to incur monthly loan payments, insurance costs, storage fees, and additional travel expenses due to breakdowns and mechanical failures. In total, the financial loss and lost use have been significant. Several major issues have occurred, including but not limited to: Electrical malfunctions that remain unresolved Axle and suspension concerns Flooring and wall problems Hot water heater failures Multiple campground disruptions due to malfunctioning components Despite all of this, Grand Design has repeatedly refused to consider a full refund—even though the situation was escalated to management back in April 2025, and a refund was initially discussed as a potential solution. Instead, I was offered a monetary amount that does not come close to covering the actual costs, time lost, or frustration experienced over the past year. The compensation offered feels dismissive considering the long-term impact of these ongoing issues. Additionally, communication has been inconsistent, and I have often been left waiting days for responses on matters that should be treated urgently. Grand Design markets itself as a company that “stands behind its product,” but my experience has not reflected that promise. After more than a year of unresolved problems, excessive repair needs, and thousands of dollars lost, I cannot recommend Grand Design to anyone looking for a reliable RV or a company that takes accountability for its product failures. I hope this review encourages more transparency, better customer support, and a higher standard of responsibility for those who invest significant money into these units with the expectation of quality and reliability. The worst. Drawers/cabinets falling apart. Pipes leaking, paneling and trip falling down...a lot. Skirting brackets loose. Multiple issues with AC/Heater. Slide outs not working. Door not latching. Refrigerator/ Freezer doors not latching. I have had a lot of travel trailers, and this is far and away the worst piece of junk. Show less

This travel Trailer is great to tow though i use an equalizer hitch and a 3500 diesel to pull it. Even in very strong winds this trailer pulls very nicely. We have two adult sized special needs men and the bunkhouse is perfect for them. The primary bedroom has enough room when the slide is out to allow dressing in that room. The kitchen and living room are very roomy and makes cooking easy and out of the way of others that are watching tv etc. Only issues we have had is a broken refer latch and a piece of trim fell off inside. This floor plan is perfect for our needs. Show less

The floor plan is absolutely amazing. It feels so open and easy to move around in. The counter space is unmatched that is for sure. Plus the bathroom is perfectly sized and has lots of storage. The ability to drive our truck and not have to get a fifth wheel hitch but have a fifth wheel feel is perfection. We use our truck bed for hauling other things so this is the best of both worlds. Best travel trailer design I have ever seen. Show less

BEWARE OF GRAND DESIGN RV AWNINGS Grand Design installs the Solera 3000 Awning by Lippert, which is a design disaster. It can’t shed rainwater, so water pools on top until the awning collapses under its own weight. When I asked for help, I was told it’s “only meant as a sunshade” – not for rain. That’s unacceptable on a product built for outdoor use. Buyers, beware. Show less

If you're thinking about buying a Grand Design RV—don’t. I trusted this brand, and by extension, Winnebago Industries. I believed I was investing in quality, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, my Momentum 397 has been a constant source of frustration—frame flex, upper deck separation, and a manufacturer that refuses to take real responsibility. The “repairs” they offer are nothing more than temporary patches. The problems keep coming back. I’ve tried escalating—respectfully, professionally—even CC’ing Grand Design CEO Don Clark. They didn’t help. They blocked my emails. And now, they’ve blocked me on Facebook too—because they don’t want real customers telling the truth. Saturday, I refused delivery of my camper. It’s already on its way back to Indiana. I was explicitly clear: the unit was to return spotless. Instead, it came back in worse condition than when it left. Here’s the reality: Paint: More defects than before, especially in the phylon area. Phylon: Scratched beyond belief—it was flawless before Grand Design touched it. Cleanliness: Metal drill shavings on the floor, sawdust throughout the unit (even in the rear sink), and someone stood on our mattress with shoes. TV & Mounting: The main TV was loose during transit, bouncing around and damaging the mount. Caulking: Sloppy, rushed, and careless. Missing in spots, globbed in others, smeared all over. Water Intrusion: Water in the front compartment near the batteries—clear negligence. This is appalling. I trusted Grand Design with my camper, and instead of being repaired to a higher standard, it was returned in a condition that’s flat-out insulting. If this is the level of detail on visible items, how can I trust that the actual repairs were done correctly? I’ve taken extensive photos documenting every issue and will be sending them in multiple emails. At this point, we have a serious problem. I expect a conference call Monday with every responsible party—including Don Clark and, if necessary, the CEO of Winnebago. No excuses. And to top it off, a Grand Design dealer offered me $49,000 on trade for a unit with an MSRP of $185,000. That’s how little they value their own product. This isn’t just my story—it’s happening to others too. Grand Design knows it. Winnebago knows it. But they’re not stepping in. We deserve better. Show less
