Nucamp TAB 400 HB 400 reviews

We love our 2023 "little red" NuCamp 400 trailer. We bought is used from Apache Camping Center in Happy Valley, OR, in 2024. It is just the right fit for 2 people and a large dog. The queen sized bed is generous with 56" x 72" of space, large refrigerator, perfectly designed full bathroom with a shower, ample sized kitchenette with a 2-eye propane stove and sink, both with lift up covers, together with lots of lockable cupboard space. What makes this great for our dog Abby is that the dinette, located in the front of the trailer, transitions into a full sized bed. This gives us plenty of room to store carryall bags to one side of this bed, room for our 80 lb dog to stretch out, and our ability to tuck a couple grocery bags underneath the collapsed table. The trailer includes an Aldi heating and cooling system that is very efficient. Ample water, grey water, and black water tanks for boondocking for at least 3 days. An outside shower for dusty legs and dirty dogs. We really also like this model since it includes a 3-way switch for the refrigerator, the newer models only have a 2-way (removing the propane option). We got the best service possible from the salesman Charlie. After reviewing 5 campers on the lot we ended up coming back to this one and been happy ever since. One hiccup was our Subaru Outback erroneously is rated for 3,500 lb tow while in reality can only tow 2,600 lbs, due to the CVS belt system. We ended up buying "Billy" that is a 2015 Jeep Overland to take us on Holidays. Only wish Billy got better gas mileage - but hauls like a champ! Show less

Great trailer, however, the rear window allows cooking temps in the sun. I installed a sheet of Styrofoam insulation with the reflective membrane towards the outside. The sun actually melted the Styrofoam. The AC can't keep up even with the insulation. Major design flaw. Pictures available of the melted Styrofoam if this site allows photos. Show less

Have owned this coach for over a year. Excellent build quality and drive ability. Very maneuverable. Towable with smaller vehicle. Solar works well. Heater excellent. I would suggest this is a better value as compared to an airstream. Show less

Looking for a high quality camper we could really pull with a medium-sized SUV (VW Atlas). Must have: Full bath and shower, full-time comfortable bed, good kitchen. This had all that and more. The bed is very comfortable. The Alde system for heat and hot water is great. Ducted AC. High quality cabinetry. Quality: The frame is all aluminum, as is the roof. The sides are Azdel, as is the floor. It’s well insulated. Windows insulated too. The company is great. They really care. Show less

After paying a large premium to buy the NuCamp Tab 400 we were very disappointed in our ownership experience. Tab 400s are very small and very expensive but they are reasonably light primarily because they are small, without full height walls and don't have a slideout. This means a very cramped interior and someone has to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. Not having an awning is really bad in the rain. Day one we learned that the cabinet door latch did not work so we had to tape the door shut, one of the ceiling fans switch was faulty, windows were misaligned so rain and mosquitoes came in, the cutlery drawer catch broke entirely so we had to tape that closed as well, mosquitoes came through the edges of the screens, the air conditioning was so noisy you could only run it when out of the unit. Don't leave anything wet on a floor. It mildews and stains. Lots more faults. However the Alde hot water heat system is great. Works well and very quiet. Fast hot water too. Decent counter for such a small trailer. The solar works great. The bathroom makes good use of the small space. Woodwork is good. Four months was four too many and we moved on. Show less

The tab 400 is a fully functional rv, it has everything to go camping and/or boondocking. Detail inside is ultra modern. Amish carpentry. I t is a light weight RV that can be towed with a SUV. A definite eye catcher wherever you go and one of most sought out rv today. Perfect for two adults. Show less

Great quality. Easy to tow even with my Jeep. Fits everywhere. Can be a little snug inside. But it is only 15 ft long. Perfect for a weekend. Can be a little tight for longer. Fresh water tank a little small for boondocking. Show less
