We purchased a new 2019 Nexus Viper 27V in February of 2021. We have now owned the unit for 4 years, during which time we have driven it 15,000 miles and camped for about 5 months. The unit has been used only by my wife and I, who are seniors and do our test to take care of our things. Unit is stored indoors at all times when not on the road. Our experience We love the floor plan and overall livability of the unit, however we have had numerous problems right from the start. The cab was leaking above the drivers visor, and the cabinetry in the entertainment center was damaged and had to be replaced.. The power inverter/charger was defective The drivers side running board literally pulled away from the body. We also had a water leak in the shower wall. Two trips to the factory “resolved” these issues, however the water leak in the shower returned six months later , this time destroying the floor of the coach which had to be entirely replaced (on my dime). Seems the connections on the back of the shower fixture (which had been “fixed” by the factory before) were installed at a 75 degrees angle (rather than the 90 they were designed for) as a result of the hot and cold lines going around the outside of a framing member under the paneling. Notching the framing board allowed me to properly install the fittings and allowed the hall wall paneling to fit flush for the first time. I also installed an inspection plate to allow access to this are in the future should it ever be needed again.. At the rear of the coach between the floor and exterior wall under the cabinets was a gap more than an inch wide opening directly to the outside. The crossover hydraulic line on the self leveling system developed a major leak-seems the hose was Not supported or tied up in any way. It dropped down on the driveshaft which quickly melted a hole in the hose, Other system hoses were also just hanging loose and had to be secured while the damaged one was being replaced. The drivers side running board is again showing cracking and in need of repair. The “recliner” was not secured to the floor, plus it could not be used to “recline” unless moved to the center of the coach. I replaced this with a wooden bench with extra storage beneath the seat. The water pump failed and had to be replaced, as did the door lock, which failed in a latched position which prevented the coach door from being opened. We are currently “on the road” for the past 4 weeks and during this trip the vinyl on both the cab seats and especially on the dinette has completely came apart with the (very) thin vinyl cracking and peeling completely off its backing-to the point that as of today approximately 30% of the vinyl is gone from the backing, plus the cushions on the dinette have collapsed, so we are basically sitting on a piece of plywood. Also, on this trip the bathroom floor has developed a “soft” spot-as I have no leak from the shower or sink it appears the black tank or toilet seal is leaking. The inverter/charger is again acting up and will need to be serviced or replaced. At this point I am looking at $5-7k in repairs at the end of this trip. Nexus has one of The best basic designs out there, but shoddy construction, a complete lack of any quality control and the use of extremely low quality materials throughout significantly degrade the product. For the record, we have camped for 25 years, have owned a fifth wheel and two travel trailers in the time and covered tens of thousands of miles in campers over the years. The Nexus, in 4 years, has had far more issues that the other three combined. We actually lived in our 5th wheel for a year while our home was being built, and then let my brother in law use it for another 10 months while his home was being built (plus 3 years of camping) and it looked nearly new inside-with zero upholstery issues. We would NOT recommend Nexus to anyone..

The dealership spent a half day tightening screws, table, door latches. Couldn't get it home from dealer without thinking it was going to burn up. The support phone number was useless and wanted us to sit in the RV for the weekend without anything working, including heat, in about fifteen degrees. We prepared to jump out of the vehicle as it was smoking but found a Ford dealership who spent hours with us trying to figure out the problem. A relay from the engine to the living area. It was disconnected, got it home the rest of the way discovering additional other problems. Took a lot for manufacturer to agree to fix the numerous problems. Drive it there an left it for weeks. We went through what they said they checked, but still didn't fix all the problems. We've driven thousand of miles and none for pleasure. Dealership nor manufacturer will take it back. Absolutely do NOT recommend Nexus!

We purchased our Nexus Viper 29v in January of 2023 and dealing with the dealership was a complete nightmare...won't even get into that. But fortunately Nexus STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT (what other RV company owner will freely hand out their personal cell phone number to their customers?). We contacted Nexus and told them our dealership woes and they in turn referred us to a reputable dealer in New Mexico who, oh my gosh, was simply amazing! The RV manufacturers do not have any control over the RV dealerships. But if you are having issues with yours, their power lies in the fact they can send you to an amazing dealership who is willing to help you. Nexus has no tolerance for shabby dealerships...if a dealership is giving you the runaround, Nexus will bypass all that nonsense and get you to someone who WILL take care of you and deal with the bad dealership on their end. It was a haul to drive to this dealership (RAM Motors) in New Mexico but I am so very glad that we did for two reasons: 1. They were professional and stand behind their workmanship. 2. Because we had to travel 4.5 hours to get there, they respected our time. Nexus would send them the part and once it arrived, they would contact us and we would set up a repair appointment and they always got us in within a week or two. Because we were traveling so far, the dealership would fix our RV while we waited. That's right...WHILE WE WERE IN THE SHOWROOM WAITING. This dealership had to remove a slide, fix it and put it back in...while we waited...I mean...who does that? We were so very lucky. We had to go in three times to get everything fixed but made the most of it by roadtripping to all the amazing places New Mexico has to offer. For the record, the things that needed fixed were minor (we learned from our last camper that if you drive it like a bat out of hell cabinets are going to fall off walls and water leaks will happen time and time again so we drive this motor home with respect). Our microwave didn't work, our fridge was making a loud noise, the slider had some sort of dent in it and the rubber seal was coming off, water pump was acting suspicious...that was it. These are all things that were fixed promptly the first time. All said and done, we were happily rolling down the highway roadtripping by the springtime. We are so happy that we purchased a Nexus and the next time we are going to purchase it from RAM Motors in New Mexico!!

Electrical problems on motorhome hot wires routed through leaf springs shorting them out. Cheap radio stereo screen strobes when the headlights are on. Dealer unable to get parts. This unit has been back to dealer for multiple trips and multiple days at a time. 1 month old 1500 miles and nexus left a bunch of problems for the dealer but does not supply parts yet.

Took 6 months to receive RV. Order placed on 8/3/21. Received 2/2/22. RV interior did match what was shown in their website video for model year 2022. It appeared they did false advertising. Did not have corian for kitchen, did not have folding extension for sink, did not have drawers to access storage under under bench seats, did not have two tone seat covers, and Euro chair was wrong color. Items that needed warranty work: turn signals did not work, 4-way flashers did not work, radio did not work, Euro chair could not be secured when traveling, outside storage door hinges where frozen, and did not have solid surface table top as I ordered. Warranty work has taken two months to date. I have called/emailed Nexus at least six times since my order and only once did I get a call back.

Took RV back to dealer who contacted Nexus and was told that because it was over 1yr old no help. Dealer cost of repair was $5000. Took it to a local camper repair shop who did a temp seal. In 2021 the rear roof vent leaked over the queen bed, nice mess, had that repaired at local dealer who found another large crack at the top of the rear shroud, again temp fix. April 2022 two more cracks in rear shroud. This RV has never been off road and has less than 5,000 miles on it! Disgusted!
