We purchased a new 2019 Nexus Viper 27V in February of 2021. We have now owned the unit for 4 years, during which time we have driven it 15,000 miles and camped for about 5 months. The unit has been used only by my wife and I, who are seniors and do our test to take care of our things. Unit is stored indoors at all times when not on the road. Our experience We love the floor plan and overall livability of the unit, however we have had numerous problems right from the start. The cab was leaking above the drivers visor, and the cabinetry in the entertainment center was damaged and had to be replaced.. The power inverter/charger was defective The drivers side running board literally pulled away from the body. We also had a water leak in the shower wall. Two trips to the factory “resolved” these issues, however the water leak in the shower returned six months later , this time destroying the floor of the coach which had to be entirely replaced (on my dime). Seems the connections on the back of the shower fixture (which had been “fixed” by the factory before) were installed at a 75 degrees angle (rather than the 90 they were designed for) as a result of the hot and cold lines going around the outside of a framing member under the paneling. Notching the framing board allowed me to properly install the fittings and allowed the hall wall paneling to fit flush for the first time. I also installed an inspection plate to allow access to this are in the future should it ever be needed again.. At the rear of the coach between the floor and exterior wall under the cabinets was a gap more than an inch wide opening directly to the outside. The crossover hydraulic line on the self leveling system developed a major leak-seems the hose was Not supported or tied up in any way. It dropped down on the driveshaft which quickly melted a hole in the hose, Other system hoses were also just hanging loose and had to be secured while the damaged one was being replaced. The drivers side running board is again showing cracking and in need of repair. The “recliner” was not secured to the floor, plus it could not be used to “recline” unless moved to the center of the coach. I replaced this with a wooden bench with extra storage beneath the seat. The water pump failed and had to be replaced, as did the door lock, which failed in a latched position which prevented the coach door from being opened. We are currently “on the road” for the past 4 weeks and during this trip the vinyl on both the cab seats and especially on the dinette has completely came apart with the (very) thin vinyl cracking and peeling completely off its backing-to the point that as of today approximately 30% of the vinyl is gone from the backing, plus the cushions on the dinette have collapsed, so we are basically sitting on a piece of plywood. Also, on this trip the bathroom floor has developed a “soft” spot-as I have no leak from the shower or sink it appears the black tank or toilet seal is leaking. The inverter/charger is again acting up and will need to be serviced or replaced. At this point I am looking at $5-7k in repairs at the end of this trip. Nexus has one of The best basic designs out there, but shoddy construction, a complete lack of any quality control and the use of extremely low quality materials throughout significantly degrade the product. For the record, we have camped for 25 years, have owned a fifth wheel and two travel trailers in the time and covered tens of thousands of miles in campers over the years. The Nexus, in 4 years, has had far more issues that the other three combined. We actually lived in our 5th wheel for a year while our home was being built, and then let my brother in law use it for another 10 months while his home was being built (plus 3 years of camping) and it looked nearly new inside-with zero upholstery issues. We would NOT recommend Nexus to anyone..

Took 6 months to receive RV. Order placed on 8/3/21. Received 2/2/22. RV interior did match what was shown in their website video for model year 2022. It appeared they did false advertising. Did not have corian for kitchen, did not have folding extension for sink, did not have drawers to access storage under under bench seats, did not have two tone seat covers, and Euro chair was wrong color. Items that needed warranty work: turn signals did not work, 4-way flashers did not work, radio did not work, Euro chair could not be secured when traveling, outside storage door hinges where frozen, and did not have solid surface table top as I ordered. Warranty work has taken two months to date. I have called/emailed Nexus at least six times since my order and only once did I get a call back.

We purchased our motorhome in 2015, as a pre-owned from the first owners who had custom ordered it. This is our first RV. Nexus RV started as a direct to consumer manufacturer that utilized unstaffed, centralized show rooms in a few parts of the country to 'sell' their RVs. Nexus was a low volume, high quality manufacturer and I liked this. This RV has given us very few problems. Everything about this RV seems to be well made, with quality components. All RV manufacturers have the option to use different components and materials of varying quality and cost should be higher with high quality, low defect components. Nexus chose to use high quality materials, like the Adzel wall panels, which are strong and water resistant. The roof is a fiberglass sheet similar to what I've seen used inside refrigerated semi trailers. No leaks. The full body paint job is great. It was sealed with something that almost makes it unnecessary to wash it. If we had kept it under a roof like the first owner did, cleaning it would be infrequent. The chassis is the Ford E-450 Super Duty which is a commercial grade, utility chassis. It does the job but could be improved with some suspension modifications, self installed for a few hundred dollars. If I was sure we would keep this RV for another 10 years, there's a company that makes ambulance suspensions that cost around $10K or $12K.

A total newbie when I purchased this lovely motorhome Sept 2019. Stored all winter (inside) and out camping this summer. I (we) love the motorhome, quality and interior design. No one told me the E450 was a 2017 when I thought I was buying a 2020 model. Something that should be discussed by salespeople. The dealership promised a wheel alignment prior to pick up which was never done (but told to me it had been done at delivery). The stability of driving that Ford truck has cost me a few thousand to rectify and make safer and easier to handle because of the terrible swaying while driving. The exterior compartments are not large enough and should have latches to hold the doors up as they constantly fall down and hit you in the head! Interior is wonderful, lots of room and well laid out. A pantry allows for great storage. I love the fact that even with the slides in, you can easily move around and sleep and eat etc in the motorhome. Two TV’s, built in generator, self levelling jacks, lots of fans, great AC, beautiful cabinetry, awning with lights, so many good features, just wish the service folks would remember there are people and families that use these things and expect good and fair dealing with service.

I have bought a brand new unit in October of 2019 and only had it in my hand for approx 2 weeks, and now here it is going into march of 2020 and I still do not have a unit. I got the run around from the dealer I bought from and now its been at the factory for the rest of repairs and now I am informed that the parts have been discontinued. I have asked for a replacement and no response. I just want what I paid for but its been a struggle. Just give me one that has current available parts. Just give me a 2020 unit. I bought it new!!!!

Bought and sold this rv within the same year as purchased. Went to the dealer in Indiana and will never recommend this rv. We had a difficult time with customer service when we ran into issues. Air conditioner broke within the first year, the toilet leaked as well as the front end cap sprung a leak within that year. The person who purchased this rv after us told us the slide broke, as well as the entire roof delaminated. I don’t know if this was just a lemon but I’d be very careful about buying from nexus!
