KZ Escape reviews

We chose this KZ Escape due to it's open floorplan. Two years later we are still discovering issues since buying it brand new in 2022. Plumbing around toilet and water tank had to be tightened to avoid leaking the first week. All window shades had to be reattached due to poor installation. The slide out has had multiple retraction issues. The motors have to be overridden and the slide out manually pushed in/out. In addition it was discovered that a manufacturers shop rag had been left in the seal on top of the slide causing the slide to leak when it rains. Just this week (March 2024) we wondered why the dining table looked warped. Turns out the adhesive used to cover the table with "wallpaper" has failed. The entire table wallpaper comes off now. Let's not forget last year when the family was out of town except one. He just happened to go outside and saw that the battery had caught fire. Thankfully he was able to remove the propane tank before it exploded causing the rv to burn to the ground. This is just a small list of issues on top of the lack of customer service on every end concerning our RV. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KZ RV. Show less

Bought brand new and every time we go on a trip there is a new issue. Leaking pipes, slide out went out, screws popping out every trip, couch unscrewing etc. I asked the MFR when does it qualify for lemon law and their response is all trailers loosen up when moved which is bull because I have had trailers for a long time. Very disappointed in how cheaply this is manufactured. Front window where we sleep leaks air like we are in a tent and have to sleep with bonus and I had the dealer seal it for us. Show less

This has been a mess since our first trip. Leaking windows, poor build quality, bad awning, poor holding tank ventilation, cracked pieces of wood supporting lower bunk, broken pull out roller supports… Warranty work has been terrible. Now all of the exterior stickers are bubbling off. Run away fromKZ! Show less

I bought a 2021 Escape Hatch one month ago. The first night of camping was miserable due to the cheap mattress. It was so thin it was like sleeping on the plywood it sits on. I was told it was a queen size mattress so I bought a new one, of course it was too wide, had to buy the drop hose from the company and tried to put it in the bumper for storage, it does not fit due to the fittings on the end of the hose. This is our first camper, my wife and I are very disappointed with our purchase. My advice is to go look at other companies. Show less

I bought one on 1/26/19.the biggest mistake ever.it has been in the shop work on 5 times.thr awing the hot water heater the plumbing.i haven't took it any where that things with it has gone wrong.the company that makes it had done terrible workmanship every.and the camper it self comes apart in your hands.shame on this company.for ripping me off.please don't buy anything from them you will be like me.wishing you never have Show less

Stay away from escape mini I brought 2019 escape and it hasn't been nothing but trouble.it been work on more than I have had a chance to enjoy it.5 times on the awing.by the way camper in in mocksville has had it 2 weeks.and I found out today.they got the arms but no motor.they don't know when it will be fix.pumpling 2 hot water heater 2.it is so bad that I'm planning on let it be repo.i hate to f up my criet.but I'm tried of paying for a camper that I can't use. We have really enjoyed this RV. We have had no issues at all. There was a factory recall on an awning part, so we took it to the Dealer and they fixed it promptly with no problem. The unit tows fine with a 1/2 ton Toyota. We are thankful we got the leveler hitch with anti sway break. Our grand kid are getting to old to want to go with us so we downsized to a small 5 th wheel and are selling our bunkhouse. Only complaint is the outdoor kitchen is too high to use comfortably. I need a short step stool to cook. Great trailer for the price. Show less

I brought my escape minni Jan 26 2019.And I have had nothing but trouble with it.anf I got the paperwork to proud it.the awing is in campers inn now for the fourth time.the reg has been in there twice.hot water heater twice.it is the worse thing I brought.i can't depend on it.and quality isn't wroth the almost 20 thousand I'm paying for.save your money and get a better quality camper.cause my haven't been nothing but trouble.and again I got all my paperwork.i wouldn't be on here if I didn't Show less

I have has constant water leaks since I bought the Escape Minie in 2018. Now outside hot water switch can't be switched on. I have water coming down the back of the shower wall that dries up by noon. ??? To what issue is?? Could be AC drawing into wall from top of RV. However, everything was checked out, double checked before I left for 2 months as cap host. This has been a well cared for RV!! It still smells new. I am so disappointed over the constant problems. I can't depend on it to be a stable & usable! It is a constant worry! Its a lemon. Lemon laws apply! Show less

We are very happy with this RV. It's the perfect size for a couple, a small family or grandparents traveling with grandchildren. Has quality construction and appliances. It is a little too heavy to be pulled by an SUV. Show less
