My casita spirit delux is little over 10 years old, but the problem started over 2 yrs ago. The Casita campers are lined with carpet inside, ceiling and walls. The carpet in my camper is separating from the fiberglass all over and I dont think there is a way to repair it unless you remove everything inside, peel the carper off and glue on new carpet all over. I'm surprised that I'm not seeing many other people complaining about this. This is a quality issue. Something people need to consider before they purchase one.

We wanted to upgrade from tent camping and after looking at all of the available options, we decided that a fiberglass shell camper would give us lightweight towing options and hold long term value. This is where Casita stands out, it's a design that's stood the test of time and we could get everything we wanted for a reasonable price. The Spirit Deluxe 17' has turned out to be the perfect size for the two of us on our cross-country travels for weeks at a time. It has a wet bath, sleeping for 2 in the large dining area at the rear, a dinette that seats two on the side, a workable kitchen with a sink, 2 burner stove, microwave & fridge. A Maxx fan, an A/C with heat strip & a gas furnace.

We bought ours in 2019. It was completed in two months. Now it is 18 month build time. I ordered everything but the microwave. The price was $24,000. We spent the summer of 2020 on the road, from Virginia to California and back. Our bathroom door latch broke, one cabinet door would not secure, and the dog chewed the blinds and fire extinguisher holder. The Deadbolt broke in half at the Casita going factory. They fixed everything for free. Several times because of the camper's size, we could get into an RV park with only a small spot left. We are retired it this perfect for us. I can't imagine a family in one of these campers. One has to stay seated when the other moves. We would have gotten the twin bed if we had known about having to crawl over each other. The upkeep is very easy. Everything works great. I had the windows tinted to keep the heat out. I had a Soft Start put on the AC so I can use a small generator and a regular outlet to run the AC.

I bought this trailer new from Budget RV in Royse City, Texas. Purchase was in mid-July. Trailer itself is shoddy… missing screws on stovetop and awning support. Bathroom door didn’t close unless I lifted it up. Trim around corners or seats and in other places is merely paperboard with tape printed to look like wood. Rubber trim concealing screws on front of trailer started flapping in the wind an hour from the dealer. Water heater (dometic 6-gal, gas/elec) has not worked once… even though I’ve replaced the thermal fuse. Gas will now stay on, but no hot water. Electric can be left on, even overnight and still no hot water. It’s a single axle and moves quite a bit when semis or buses pass. All-in-all… would not recommend this trailer to anyone. Yes, it looks cute and retro, but it may as well have been quilt in China. Have emailed manufacturer… did not even respond.

I have had no problems with the trailer and it tows like a dream due to it's light weight, and minimal wind drag due to the egg shaped body, which is Fantastic for good gas mileage. It is Definitely a trailer for a couple and possibly a small pet for a fun weekend trip or even a month long adventure..

As others have said, a perfect couple’s trailer with a dog. Tows easily with our 4Runner, great in crosswinds. Has everything you would want in a small 100% fiberglass package. Will sell for more than we paid for it- and miss it. How many trailers can you say that about?

Our first RV. Lightweight and sassy....just right for two but then we got a big dog(puppy) and it became a little two small.. Great brand, well built and easy to maintain. Everything worked but had to replace the hot water tank because we did not drain it properly during the freezing weather. We made several short trips to state parks and largely depended on the shower facilities rather that try to shower in the Casita. Heating and AC worked great and used both on different occasions. This unit travelled well behind a Chevy Silverado pick up truck.

Downsizing and down pricing from a series of Airstreams, my wife and I bought a CASITA Spirit Deluxe last year... first impression is WOW, what a good deal. It clearly is a huge bang for the buck in terms of functionality...it is very well constructed, and has some features not found on more expensive coaches. The experience of purchasing the Casita was overall very excellent, and we were especially pleased with Carla in sales at Casita plant. Though small, the floorplan layout is flexible, and the payoff in towing and economy is a huge reward. Ideal for two! Very happy!!

We bought our Aspen Classic to tour Alaska because we were afraid our older GMC motorhome would have problems. Our regular car is a Toyota Camry which was not approved for towing so we went searching for the smallest, lightest camper we could find. We had seen An Aspen Classic on one of our camping trips and were intrigued. Designed to be towed by any motorcycle 750cc or larger, the Aspen Classic was what we needed. We searched for a used one but ended up buying a new one. It turned out to be one of the best purchases we have ever made as campers. It tows beautifully, even a Smart Car would hardly know it's back there. With 25 cubic feet of storage, it held everything we wanted to take, including a portable toilet. We got most of the options and even though it rained A LOT in Alaska we had lots of room both inside and outside to enjoy. Our only complaints were that the king size mattress is a little thin and we may replace it with an air mattress, and the leveling jacks are a little long to use for some campsites. It was a joy to get somewhere and after 20 minutes of setup we had supper on the stove and an adult beverage in our hands. It takes some practice to be fast but with two people who have done it some, in two minutes you can be out of the rain and finished in ten minutes. We seldom felt the need to hurry that much. We have camped places where 200 mosquitoes could find your arm in seconds and after set-up lounged in complete comfort, without a single bite. It's satisfyingly tight. More than once we've had two inches of rain overnight and been snug and dry. So, if you want to take tent camping to the next level with a full watertight floor, sleeping off the ground on a king-size bed and a nicely sized stand up room, you should look closely at an Aspen Classic if you can find one. The amazing amount of storage and easy towing are nice bonuses. Look them over at aspenqualitytrailers.com
