Pros: The floor plan is why I love it. It has that long couch with plenty of seating for a large family and sleeps 4 in back with a small dinette for them to play board games or do school work or play Legos. Plenty of indoor storage. 4 season. Cons: #1 - it tows TERRIBLE despite sway bars and repositioning cargo. Cracking a window was only thing that made negligible difference. No cross breeze in bedroom, I have now learned that I will never choose another RV of any sort without cross ventilation in the bedrooms. Couch material is subpar and quickly deteriorates. Only one outdoor storage. Fridge is 12V so not a good boondocking camper. LED lights on awning quickly went out. Outdoor kitchen, to use it, you need a stepstool. Grill being on opposite end of kitchen is a pain. Batteries run fridge and lights but not any outlets so boondocking again, not a thing if you need like a cpap machine unless you get a power bank or generator of sorts. We have enjoyed it despite any cons. Show less

As with any new item there are always bugs that require working out. We've had to replace the floor in the dining slide due to water leak the 1st year out, haven't been pleased with it since. Floor after 2.5 yrs became soft not due to water leak, dealer & Mfgr stated common problem with no solution or recommended fix. Furnace had to be replaced 2X in 4 years as well as fridge required service & replace inverter both times within 4 years. Thank goodness I purchased an extended warranty. I won't purchase another. Thor industry that owns open range is only interested in the bottom line and cares nothing about product quality, service, or customer service. I wrote a letter to the CEO/President of the company and my letter was returned unopened and rejected. Every owner has floor problem. Show less

Bought this as our first RV new 5 years ago. It has been a good unit for the most part, but the slide out floor rotted out due to a manufacturing defect. $4500 later we have a new floor and a sour taste towards Highland ridge Show less

I email Highland Ridge on numerus times only have one reply from them over the 4 years I have bought their product, after i bought my RV. I email them on 2/10/23 and I haven't heard back from them. I received a pop up i would heard back from them in 72 hours. As of now, it been close to 100 hour. I am having issue with my led lights inside and i emailed them how to fix the issue. this is a safety concern of some one could getting hurt for imporoper lighting operation. I would not recommend buying an RV from Highland Ridge Customer Service rates 1-10 they would rate 0. Very poor customer service. Returning customers what keep company in business. I am planning on buying another new Fifth wheel this year and it will not be a Highland Ridge Product because they don't take care of their existing customers. Stay away do not buy Hightland Ridge. DRYER FIRE HAZARD! I bought this RV used earlier this year. I bought a washer/dryer combo to put in the designated closet. My maintenance guy and I both noticed the little stickers on the wall where it says "DRYER VENT LOCATION" but because of where my vent was located on my dryer, we couldn't use that location and had to make our own. It's a good thing we didn't use that spot--a normal person with a normal dryer would probably assume that the sticker means to drill your 4" hole in that spot and that there is venting already inside the wall...right? WRONG! Due to another issue, I had to take the wall down in my half bath which is on the back side of the laundry area. I discovered that the so-called vent inside the wall for the dryer is actually a CARDBOARD BOX taped at both ends and just sitting inside the wall taped to a stud. Now to back track a bit...I emailed Jayco back when getting ready to install the W/D combo. I asked them how to install the vent in my RV. I told them there was a sticker on the wall with that message. Their response was simply how to install a dryer with a vent. So obviously not reading my email or understanding the question. So....if someone actually just drills a hole in the wall assuming there is a dryer vent in there already----HUGE FIRE HAZARD! No where for the lint to go except into a paper box! What on earth are they thinking when they build these RVs? I really hope nobody has actually attached a dryer how to that spot.....if so---remove it. Cheaply put together - trim is falling off - converter quit after two years-pullout spice rack fell apart -recliners are poor quality-airconditioner had to be replaced - problems with the electrical - and its not "lite". Show less

Bought my RV new in 2018. Overall living is nice and comfortable. The quality of the RV is built poor. First was the slide. Been repaired 3 times. Still hangs up and will not come in right. Now the floor is sagging everywhere. Been told it is structural damage. My opinion is stay away from open range Show less

We made a great purchase, we’ve enjoyed every minute spent with this camper. We always get great compliments about this camper never a bad moment. I would purchase this camper again in a heartbeat. We enjoy outdoor living so we couldn’t ask for anything more except more time to travel and enjoy our camper Show less

We have owned our RV since new in 2018. The first major issue was with the kitchen slide, it would not go back in when the unit was brand new. After having the motor replaced, it works however it continously goes out of synch. It needs support and an extra push when we pull it in. We have traveled the country in this RV and actually love the layout and space it provides. However, the support from the manufacturer is null to say the least. The furniture is now splitting which is a sub par company that the manufacturer works with. We have soft spots in the floor which we have been advised are due to "high traffic" area, not sure what part of a 27' unit wouldn't have high traffic. Bottom line the floor apparently is only warranteed for 1 year so we are on our own. We love RVing and spend months out on the road, so in shopping for our next one we will use these lessons learned to ensure we do not have similar issues. Show less

Coming upon the 4th year, purchased new from General RV.Roof Sagging so bad A/C hits slide. Floor Sagging frame structure, tanks won't Drain. Complained during warranty period, Dealer, Highland Ridge and Jayco Failed to Support! No Support! The list of complaints are so long! Used steel screws instead of stainless scews into aluminum frame. Electrolysis started, screws popped off front clip. support contacts say they will put in my file. This unit does not leak, but they say thats the cause. No water damage anywhere on the inside. Show less
