I can honestly say that this camper is the worst camper I have ever owned. We bought it brand new. As soon as we started using it, the slide leaked and caused damage to the floor and walls. The toilet leaked because the water hose on the back was cut too short. The tub leaked. The refrigerator took almost a full day to get cold. The water pump doesn't work at all and had to be replaced. The furnace did not want to kick on. Took a lot of work to get it to kick on and stay working. 1 year out the outside light completely stopped working. The camper was slapped together. To this day I am finding how shotty of work Forest River really does on their campers. I would never ever buy a Coachmen or anything made by Forest River ever again. When I get the chance I am trading this in for a camper that is worth something and is built decent because Forest River is not worth what they charge for them.

Bought new. Drawer glides held on by plastic stops that keep breaking. Shower curtain hanging supports are plastic and keep breaking. Threshold screws came loose and needed to be replaced. Two tires blew out; one ripped off the wheel well cover and cracked the side panel (which appears to be the thinnest plywood possible). One of the slide catches has never worked. Underneath is what appears to be painted fiberboard. It is exposed to the elements and whatever is coming up off of the road. It is starting to flake apart. Lock on the fantastic fan was plastic and broke. The awning didn't drain in the 1st rain event, and a pole broke. Can't replace just the pole, so I repaired with a wooden dowel and use a heavy c clamp on one side to make sure the awning drains. Plastic clips on the small bedside fans have all broken. Replacing with Velcro. Side mounted grill is secured by pins that are impossible to insert into the holes (poor design). Rusted parts that are not galvanized or otherwise protected against the weather. Brakes are starting to grab, getting those looked at next month. Bench seat that converts to sofa is made of what appears to be balsa wood; I am surprised it hasn't broken yet. Overall, this pop-up has a lot of room, and if built better would be awesome. It is unfortunate that the build quality is so poor. If I could do it all over again, it would not be anything built by forest river (Rockwood, coachmen, etc).

We greatly enough our popup. Purchased new in 2018. Two camping trips that year, a getting to know the feel of the popup trips. Very easy set-up and break down. Tows well behind our dodge grand caravan. The refrigerator is more of a cooler, and you can not get a coffee cup under the sink faucet. The stove works well but is rather on the small side. No worries. The A/C will run you out as will the heater. Both work extremely well. This year we have added a reflective cover over the beds. It should keep it even cooler inside. We do all of our cooking outside, stove and fire, and have purchased a small refrigerator, which we set up outside under the awning. We also upped our game and purchased a fish cleaning table and portable grey water tank. Wash dishes outside. We have slept six in the popup comfortably. Storage is tight but less is more. We enjoy our popup and look forward to using it for many years to come.

I just purchased this 2018 clipper cadet in salina,ks. I inspected AFTER the purchase, which was a mistake. I found the workmanship shoddy in several places. sometimes the parts were just thrown in and not attached to the frame or floor. the brace for the refrigerator that keeps it in place was not attached to the surrounding woodwork, the support that supports the bunk in a raised position was not attached at the bottom , the locks on the right and left side boxes is not the right key . it does not unlock nor lock the side boxes. I had to lift the bunk and remove the locks from the inside. Metal shavings were found on the floor under the bunk, this is just a short list of shoddy workman ship; but I haven't tried the plumbing yet. now what? George j Mooney

COACHMEN CLIPPER, Model 125SST, Purchase Date: 04/26/19 Date: 01/05/19 Subject: Severe Safety Issue (OLD TIRES on a New Camper): I have a 2018 Coachman Clipper 125SST, which is manufactured by Forest River, Inc. Note: Camper was taken to Selling dealer for evaluation on 01/09/20. Here is the list of the issues and some background: 1. We made our second camping trip to the Austin, Tx Area. Prior to leaving for this trip, and also before we started back home, I checked both tires for pressure, and looked for any issues. They were both at 65psi, which is per the vendor’s (Kenda) recommendation, and no cracks, imperfections, etc., and, the tire pressure agrees with the label on the side of the camper. 2. I was told by the selling dealer never to exceed 65mph while traveling. To be on the safe side, I have always traveled at only about 60mph. 3. Stopped for gas about halfway through the trip, and visually inspected both tires for any issues. I also felt of tires, rims, and hubs for any warmth, which would indicate an issue. All was fine. 4. About 5 miles from home, we exited the freeway, which speed drops to 50mph. However, I wanted to be extra safe, so, I slowed my speed down to 40mph. This is something that I felt safer to do with the traffic in front of me. 5. Suddenly, and very violently, the left tire on the camper blew out. I was able to maintain control of the rig, but pieces of the tire flew off, hitting other cars. 6. Pulled over to a very short shoulder on the road to see what happened. Appears that the tire blowout caused severe damage to side of the camper. 7. Traffic was very heavy, so there was no way to get out to change out the tire, and get the camper home. Called Forrest River Roadside assistance. 8. Waited for over 2 hrs. for them to come. Calls kept getting canceled, and it was unsafe for the wrecker drivers. But, Roadside assistance never called. I called them 3 times, and finally, they told me that the first 2 calls had been canceled, and they were dispatching someone again. 9. A guy from the wrecker service finally came out in is personal car to change the tire. He was very short, and very rude, but, he did help us, so I was grateful for that. 10. We continued home. The next morning, I set up the camper for airing out, and cleanup as we always do. What I found next was shocking to say the least. 11. The Drivers side of the camper had damage to the siding down to the studs. Wheel well trim was missing, door to refrigerator was broken, and, marker lamp cover is missing. Also, I noticed the top wood near the right front top latch was broken. 12. Next, I called my local tire shop to see if they could help me understand why this might have happened. He asked me the usual questions such as speed traveling (40mph), Tire Pressure (65psi), etc. All checked out. 13. Next question from him was, how old are the tires. I told him when I purchased the camper, the tires would have been new (04/19) and we agreed that should not be a factor. However, he then explained to me exactly how to figure out how old the tire is. There is a code date stamped on each tire as to when they were built (Week, Year). Checking these tires, we noticed that the code was 20 15. He paused, and then asked again, what year my camper was, and when I purchased it, as that code does not seem correct. I then decided to take the camper to another tire dealer for verification. Sure enough, the first tire dealer read it correctly. I should note that the camper was manufactured around 11/17 as a 2018 model. 14. So, at this point, it appears to me that Coachman (aka: Forest River) put old tires on the camper (at least 2 years old). Adding to this, I feel that at least the dealer should have verified how old the tires are before we took possession of the camper. Purchasing the camper in April, of 2019, made these tires already nearly 4 years old. Sending a camper out with 4 year old tires, especially for new purchasers, is alarming and irresponsible to say the least. 15. We are now to the point that we are extremely disappointed in our experience, and, have lost out piece of mind of buying a new Forest River product. We are going to get the camper fixed, but, I personally no longer have any confidence that this camper is road safe. We might have to sell this one, and purchase one from another vendor. We still enjoy camping, but, not so much with this rig. Forest River (Viking Division) is working to get all of the parts for the repair, and, also going to give us new tires (3). But again, I fail to understand how this can happen. I will never purchase anthing made by forest river again. They used to be great products, but, now, not so sure about quality.

I purchased a new 2018 Coachmen Clipper 21BHS in February 2019 and I used my unit 2 times before taking it back to the dealer due to slide leaking on June 1, 2019. The manufacturer picked it up 2 weeks later since the dealer did not have the ability to repair the major damage the leak had done to the flooring. It was gone for 2 months then came back to me still leaking. It went back to the manufacturer for the same leak and a month later comes back and yes unfortunately still leaking and a bad patch job with duct tape on replacing the wet insulation under the flooring. YES, for the third time water has gotten in the slide. Instead of dealing with all the stress and anger for the third time and it not being used for the purpose we bought it for we have gotten rid of it by losing $4000.00 of our own money. We are the happy owner of a new unit from a well-known and reliable manufacture with great reviews and less complaints. I will not purchase or recommend to anyone to purchase any product from Coachmen or Forest River, you will lose camping time with your family and a lot of money.
