We bought this trailer when it first came out in July 2014 (yes, a 2015 model) because the floorplan was EXACTLY what we had been searching for. While the floorplan is very nice, we have had multiple roof leaking issues since new with no support from Dutchman. We had the roof sealed and the trailer winterized at the end of every season by the dealer. When the trailer was 3 years old, we noticed a soft spot on the floor just inside the main door. Odd, since there were no water stains and we had never seen signs of a leak. Took it to the dealer, and the floor had to be replaced due to water damage - 6" in and 7' long. The dealer said it was due to a lack of lap sealant on the roof (which they corrected). Dutchman would not cover any of it ($3200). Since then, we have been hyper vigilant about leaks. Every single time we camp in it, we find a new leak. This time, it was the window at the rear bunk -- or, more accurately, the aluminum degraded beyond the silicon seal at that window -- more below.
Beyond the leaking issue, the aluminum siding literally rotted holes through the siding. Top strip only, multiple holes. This is a camper that is stored indoors (in a pole building) when not in use. The first hole was discovered when the unit was 6 months old. Dutchman would not replace the strip, and the dealer put a patch over the hole (looks like some kind of tape) that has held ever since -- but the same strip corrodes more holes every year. Major issue.
This goes beyond the usual minor stuff (loose slideout seal, moldings that we re-attached, a loose fixture here and there, and a plug that had to be fixed because the contacts never pierced the wires) -- minor stuff being expected on a new unit. I love the functionality of the Aspen Trail, but the build quality was not good, and Dutchman customer support is much worst than other companies (we owned a Coleman previously with no issues in customer support).

Livability, floor plan and towing are awesome. As far as workmanship and installation of equipment, millworks and appliances, I have never seen such poor quality. You look at it and things fall apart not to mention the dangerous electrical wiring inside the walls. The manufacturer is offering zero support and never followed thru with the initial estimate from the dealership where the unit was purchased. Long story short, we used this unit 5 times on long weekends and it's been in storage since fall of 2016.

I used a F350 diesel and sometimes almost forgot the hauler was back there.

Lots of creature comforts, lots of room and neatly appointed, with a good sized kitchen with all the equipment you'll need: mid-sized refrigerator with serarate freezer, microwave, oven and three burner stove along with a double sink. Queen size bed with 2 closets and huge under bed storage area too in bedroom. 3 piece bathroom with doors for privacy (not accordian doors, real doors).

WE have put new vent covers on, replaced the water pump on a brand new trailer, replaced the circuit board in the heater twice- the heater cover vents go in allowing the water to short out the board. Now the roof is now bubbling, took it to a dealer to get fixed he said this is the third Aspen Trail he has worked on in a month with the same problem, Called the manufacturer spoke with a rude customer service rep they will not help with anything. DO NOT BUY THESE TRAILERS!

The trailer itself is OK. When we purchased it, we noticed some trim on the outside that was loose, and one of the curtain rods was not attached on one end. I asked to have those two things fixed. Neither one was taken care of. The bigger issue was that we were told that the furnace and A/C had been checked out and guaranteed to work. We bought it in March, so we wouldn't have known anyway if the A/C worked. (It works just fine - no problems there.) Our biggest mistake was taking the dealer's word for it that the heat worked. It didn't. We tried using it in April and there was no heat or warm air at all. It was still under warranty, so we took it in to get checked. The furnace had NEVER BEEN HOOKED UP! So, poor workmanship in the first place, then lied to by the dealer. The warranty did cover the furnace repair, so I can't complain about that.
For the two of us, it works fine. We don't have a slide, so it does get a little tight if it's raining and I'm trying to cook a meal or something. When my husband is sitting at the table, he can't get his feet under it comfortably so they stick out in my way. We did pull it 3500 miles a couple of years ago and had no trouble towing it.

This was caused due to that area not being properly reinforced. The area was fixed by RCD in Pataskala Ohio. Now that area is cracking again as well as the the other corner.Keystone is now declining any additional work on my camper. Why is my problem not being addressed? This is a structural flaw in the design. I guess I’ll have to get an attorney and file a lawsuit.

Nothing but trouble with our Kodiak travel trailer since we bought it. Leaks like crazy, had to pull off whole front in to reseal and fix a leak, wallpaper peeling, trim falling off. Replaced awning motor, replaced Drain in shower, busted due to no support under it, had to reinforce add support so doesn't bust when stepped on, Replaced bath and Kitchen faucets do to leaks, replace shower head due to leaked, Table had to be weld leg and fix, spose to be a bed but my son can't even use it, very uncomfortable and table so poorly made doesn't hold weight. Have a drawer that wont stay closed (need to fix that) and guess what I have a new leak this year, after pulling out for the summer found the whole back end is delaminating due to a leak somewhere most likely in the roof (again)
Loved the look and layout of this camper that is what made us buy it new had it special ordered with extra features for us. This was our 2nd camper purchased moving up from a popup we had for years. Very displeased in this camper, I hope this helps other avoid the Kodiak series or maybe it is dutchman all together.
