2014 Redwood RV 5th Wheel reviews

We bought this RV because we were looking to live in it full time. We did live in it 1/2 to full time for almost 4 years. The floor plan worked very well for 2 people that are retired. We did not pull it around the country, it sat in the same RV resort for the time we owned it. The things we like about it are: It has a stove top with an oven, a combination microwave convection oven, opposing slides in the living area, large TV that goes down into the cabinet when not in use, lots of windows that are tinted, large shower with on demand hot water, RV king size bed, great ventilation with the ceiling fan and power vent fans, and the high quality of the cabinets and wood work through out the entire RV. The short comings are: the couches had the poor fake leather, they had to be replaced, the RV now has a love seat recliner and a recliner, The mattress was not comfortable for a bad back, replaced it with a new Sleep Number mattress. These are the only things I can think of that we did not like. I would recommend this 5th wheel as a RV for traveling or placement in a RV park/resort. Show less

We purchased this new. The bedroom slide never worked correctly from day 1. The front of the slide would come out a couple inches when traveling. I took it to 3 different dealers trying to figure out what was wrong. Everyone said it was out of time and they corrected the problem. Even the factory techs told me the same thing at the Redwood rally. So last year we finally figured out the problem. It was the slide mechanism that was broke. All three slides have leaked and we spent over $21,000.00 repairing them. The company that repaired it said the the workmanship was terrible and it had been leaking for a long time. I called Redwood many times for help and they just said to take it to a dealer. Now its not their problem because its out of warranty. I told them the bedroom slide had been a problem since we bought it. They told me that I should have kept taking it back to the dealer. I told them that it has been there 6 times with the same response that it was just out of time. Bottom line is the factory people don't care and will provide NO help in trying to resolve any problems. They are way over priced for they quality that you receive. We will never own another one. Lifestyle was started my former Carriage employees and used the same box frame made in-house that Carriage used. Improvements were made to the slide-out components placing the motors more in the middle for better power distribution. The floor is very well insulated as it's a double floor design. Robust, Quadra Big-Foot jacks are standard. Quality wood cabinetry throughout. Heavier plywood flooring used and steel bathroom floor for a more solid feel. Exterior walls are fiberglass hung-wall construction, not laminated. Unfortunately, they went out of business in 2016. Show less

This is a great RV. We ordered it from the factory with the options we wanted to add over the stock model and we have been very pleased. We didn't have to have any major warranty work done during it's warranty period or any major work done after that warranty period passed it's just been routine maintenance we have done some small upgrades since taking ownership of this trailer. It's been a great 5th wheel if it wasn't for the fact we need something bigger I wouldn't part with this trailer. Show less

This is a luxury coach that exceeded my expectations. It is extremely well built , solid and beautifully designed . We especially loved the side by side bathroom and the extra sink vanity in the bedroom allows two people to get ready at the same time! It has a 55 inch tv and full size sink and fridge! Two huge pantries and tons of storage throughout the coach!!! Best purchase ever!! Show less

have some problems werst bed broom slide on the road but once some one to get it in red wood fixed it and small other things I repaired over all has been good now under bed roon slide alone seam looks to have some thing not right Show less

Beautiful RV, like the painted scheme, nice floor plan with Kitchen storage, Queen size Bed and Closet, the length is just what we desire. Show less

We loved our Open Range. We looked at a lot of different campers. The larger shower was a big plus for us because we have a toddler. It was easy to sit on the bench seat and bathe him. Another feature that we really liked since we had a small child was the moveable island. We could push it out of the way and he had plenty of room to play. As most parents know toys for small kids can be pretty big. We really enjoyed the time we spent in it and we were in it a lot. My husband really liked the electric jacks and how it would automatically set to the right height for the truck when we unhooked it. Made hooking up and unhooking very fast and easy. Show less
