The Go Explore X225 is our 2nd camper and our first new one. Before I mention the bad stuff, I will say that we love this trailer floor plan. This is a great couples camper. Would we buy it again? Yes. Now for the down side. This first major trouble came just 3 days into ownership. This trailer has a television that is on a motorized mechanism that rises up from the dinette area. There is a major wiring harness behind a panel under the dinette and the TV mechanism cut through and mangled several of the wires in this bundle because it was not secured properly away from the mechanism from the factory. It cut the 110 AV power cord to the TV itself and energized the metal mechanism in addition to other loose wires powering several 12 VDC systems. This was serious and could have caused a fire or an electrocution. The other issue had to do with the rack-and-pinion slide mechanism which was only secured to the bottom of the slide using 4 1.5 inch lag screws through the soft plywood floor. Moving the slide in and out in normal use, put a lateral stress on the screws and they eventually elongated the holes one by one fell out unknown to us. Bolts with backing plates and washers should have been used in this application. Both of these issues I fixed myself with less than $20 in parts and an hour or so of my time. These two things are major issues that were completely preventable and should have been addressed at the factory. All other systems in this trailer have performed flawlessly and we have put over 10000 miles on it thus far. We do love this trailer despite these initial issues and plan on keeping it for several years to come.

This is a basic trailer, but it is easy to tow and has all of the basics you need plus 100W solar and off road tires. It is perfect for weekend or overnight stays. However! There are a few Cons about it. 1. The bathroom is too small and the shower inside is worthless. 2. You cannot pull out the shelves in the fridge because the bathroom door is in the way. Bad design. 3. The fold down futon sofa is too hard on one side and too soft on the other. There is no good fix to make it comfortable. 4. The fold down bunk only holds 100 lbs... So not good for a bigger child. 5. The solar does not run the A/C. Other than those complaints, we are happy with it because it serves our needs. We didn't need anything fancy and spend most of our time outdoors. Most of the time, it is just the two of us and the dog.
