I purchased my 2019 Highland Ridge RV Mesa Ridge Lite MR2802BH brand new from the dealership, and I specifically sought out this floor plan after doing a lot of research. As someone who was actively competing in triathlons and frequently traveling from city to city, I needed something comfortable, practical, and family-friendly. Hotels quickly got expensive and didn’t always offer the flexibility or convenience I needed, this trailer was the perfect solution. What immediately drew me to this model was the floor plan. It has two full-size bunks and a dinette that converts into a bed, which made it ideal for traveling with kids. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep without feeling cramped. One of my favorite features is the two exterior doors. The main entry and a separate door that leads directly into the bathroom were a game-changer. If you're familiar with the triathlon lifestyle, you know mornings start early with training sessions and prep work. Having that secondary bathroom door meant I could come back and clean up without waking the kids who were still asleep inside. There’s also an outdoor shower, nothing fancy, but incredibly useful. I could rinse off after a run, bike, or swim without dragging sweat and gear through the trailer. Combine that with the outdoor kitchen and mini fridge, and it created a great setup where I didn’t even need to go inside unless I had to. Everything I needed was right there outside. From a towing standpoint, this trailer is considered lightweight. It tows at a dry weight of 5765 lbs and tracks really well. I had no issues hauling it between events or campgrounds. The thermal package also helped maintain a comfortable interior temperature whether we were dealing with summer heat or chilly mornings. Overall, the Mesa Ridge Lite MR2802BH checked every box for me. It’s functional, well-designed, and thoughtfully laid out for anyone who travels with kids or lives a more active, on-the-go lifestyle. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something versatile, family-friendly, and easy to manage on the road.

worst experience in my life. bought a travel trailer noticed many things wrong. mentioned it to them after they ignored us for a month or longer. then they finally had us bring it in to them in December. been calling, sending emails, no response. then when we call and complain, yes we swore at them it had been 4 months of being ignored, they called us and said it wasn't a good fit because we were rude and we needed to come pick it up and that they still didn't fix anything 4 months later. not one time did the manager call us to see what they could do to make it right with our first purchase. I would love to hear from the owner or director. horrible horrible.

We purchased the unit in September of 2021 and over the course of a year we actually had it in our possession for less than 2 months. We had issues with water leaking under the shower, 2 of 3 slides not working (one slide got stuck when we were trying to leave an RV park on our way home and stranded us for hours), the heater didn't work (we were living in it while waiting to move into our new house and got a mobile tech to come out but the cabinet was built around the heater and he couldn't get it out to fix it), the water pump wouldn't work, the flooring was bubbling up, the seals on the slides were bad and light could be seen around all of them. After the unit was at the dealer from November 2021 to August 2022, I contacted the manufacturer. They said that they would come and pick it up and take to the factory to fix the slide out that the dealer hadn't been able to. They also said that they would reimburse the cost of the mobile tech that couldn't fix the heater and would extend the warranty for 90 days. After getting the unit back after the warranty had expired, they didn't plug in one of the recliners, there was antifreeze sprayed all over inside the unit which appears to have come from the sink, the bathroom counter laminate is coming off and the water pump wasn't working. They now say that they will only cover warranty items that were identified before the warranty period expired, and won't reimburse me for the mobile service tech because the warranty doesn't cover diagnosis. I was able to diagnose the pump, it was filled with plastic shavings that were sucked up from the fresh water tank but to plug in the recliner, I have to remove both of them and I guess I am on the hook for replacing the bathroom counter material. The manufacturer of the unit in Jayco and in the future I will never purchase another Jayco product and would advise anyone who asks to avoid them. Pros - It tows well and has a good floor plan Cons - Most systems don't work and the quality of work is terrible

The open floor plan for a smaller tow rv was appealing to us after towing a beast around but I must say run don't walk away from this poorly built piece of junk! Yes, it's smaller and easy to tow but on our first week out wad the worst camping experience we ever had in our 10 years with RVs. From hot water heater to water pump every thing was a catastrophe! Not to mention the poor quality after you take it out the first time. Stabilizing Jack's had to be replaced and Dunlap gave me the Jack's to replace myself. This unit is a nightmare 😫 We now have be in this unit one week and we're hoping we can sell it and get our money back, after adding a brand new mattress because the one that comes with the unit is a joke I don't think a cockroach would sleep on it. The water feed hookup is so close to the end that it's hard to twist the water hose on it. Stay away from this brand and Dunlap RV in my opinion.

We have been winter Rv camping in our Highland Ridge Open Range Lite (thermal cold weather package) since Nov 2021- Present. We are on a one year camping trip. We purchased the camper in MT and pulled out of the RV dealership parking lot and have been camping ever since. We so far camped in northern Montana near Glacier NP and now in Zion and Bryce Canyon NP areas in Utah. The temperatures were below -0 to -15 for weeks at a time in Montana to include 5 degrees in UT. The camper has preformed well and we live comfortably (wife, me, son, and dog) in the camper. Of course you have to prep and there is some work to winter camping. That means owing a insulated electric heat water hose, heat tape wrapped around the ground water faucet with insulation over it and a wrapped tarp at the bottomto boot. Heat tape wrapped on your septic hose with wrapped insulation and then cold weather tape. Owning multiple cold weater extension cords, and heat lamps. A most is putting a light bulb placed near coils on refridgerator at the outside compartment. Our fridge stopped working because it was below 0. We put the bulb in there and it worked agaim. Placing multiple heat lamps and a space heater underneath your camper for underbelly. A 2nd space heater for inside the camper to compensate the propane heater. A must for below 0 camping is insulating the skirting with either cords of firewood or rv skirting with "foam board" on the backside to shield from freeze or high winds. Its work but it helps! I had a sheet of wood for a entry door to crawl underneath to able to release black and gray tanks. I had two heat lamps pointed at the release valves and the space heater on high at the front to blow towards the back under belly. I had three more heat lamps positioned underneath were i thought the black/ gray tanks were located. We owned four 30 gallon propane tanks. We average one tank every four to six days. Thats why its important to have a electric space heater (good one) to compensate the propane inside the camper. We used reflextics on all the windows for insulation during below zero weeks. The propane heater and stove performed awesome and all the other items in the trailer. We maintained a inside temp at 66 to 73 degrees. Both sinks, toliet, and shower, for the water never froze. We never lost water and remained on city water -connected. We never used the fresh water tank. We kept it empty. I would empty the black and gray when it reached 2/3. We dripped the water at the kitchen sink at night and kept the sink cabinet door open with the space heater pointed towards it to prevent freezing. Other than that "good times!" Lol I give the open range high marks for extreme cold weather camping and liviibility!! Sounds like alot of work but if you like camping and having almost 0 crowds at NP's "its the best!"
