Unhappy Customer From Day One I recently purchased a brand-new Grey Wolf travel trailer, excited to start my RV adventures. While the trailer itself has some great features and a stylish design, my experience has been marred by unexpected defects and disappointing service from the dealer and Forest River Warranty. Shortly after purchase, I noticed many issues that should not be present in a new unit — including [Weak Brakes, Black and grey tank indicators only showing grey light]. I brought these concerns to the dealer, expecting warranty coverage and professional support. Unfortunately, they claimed they could not find any faults and refused to take responsibility for some of the defects. As a result, I had to pay out of pocket to fix problems that should have been covered. This was incredibly frustrating, especially given the trailer's new condition and the dealership's reputation. I felt dismissed and unsupported during the process. I still believe the Grey Wolf has potential, but buyers should be cautious and inspect thoroughly before finalizing the purchase. And if you're considering Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf, be prepared to advocate strongly for yourself — because their post-sale service left much to be desired. I wish I had known this before I bought this trailer, would have gone with a different brand.

Beautiful and functional! We love the full size refrigerator and bathroom! The washer and dryer is a game changer for trips! We added wider steps to the door so it is easier to enter and exit. The app and electronics of the trailer are convenient and work like a charm! The sofa makes into a comfortable bed and still leaves room to move! Lighting and fireplace sets a great ambience and makes you feel like you are at home! This is an excellent buy for a beautiful home-away-from-home!

Horrible. Anyone who buys a Forest river product must be insane. I wish someone would have written the review I am writing now prior to my purchase. As a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder I was excited to purchase from one of our companies. This thought was a mistake. The plywood floor on the slide out is about to fall in and their customer service is horrible. 1 year warranty??? No wonder. Berkshire should sale this company immediately before a class action lawsuit happens. I would not recommend purchasing any forest river products. You will be sorry very soon after purchasing. I actually feel sorry for dealers selling their products. This company will probably not be in business much longer given the poor quality of materials and workmanship. I will send pictures to anyone who wants to see them.

In general, I like Northwood Mfg. products like Arctic Fox and Outdoors RV, relative to the RV industry generally which does a very poor job of engineering products, quality control, and being truthful in marketing. The Outdoors 21RD has a utilitarian floor plan with a couple of options at the big windows in the back. The option for recliners is strange in that they don't turn around to take advantage of the great view that those windows provide. Like all Northwood products, this also isn't a "4-season" coach except in the Southern US. It is a mostly comfortable coach for 3 seasons if you add insulation to the storage compartment. It loses enough heat through its frame to outline its location on the outside walls with melted lines on a frosty morning. Perhaps most importantly, though, this unit has a gross-weight problem. It only has 3,500 lb. axles but huge, boondock-ready fresh water and waste water capacities. With axles less capable than even their smallest unit in the line-up, they can't legally carry the full weight of the coach, a full fresh-water tank, and a normal family's load of clothing, food, gear, etc., let alone take all that weight off-road. Something has to give. If you get the Titanium package, now its aesthetics are even heavier and the coach will usually be maxed out all the time, which is not a good way to tow a trailer, especially into any rough backcountry. It needs an expensive dual 5,200 lb. axle retrofit to really function as it should.

I bought the trailer while still active duty in the military in 2015. We had been living in a 32 ft Denali, which leaked air through the slide-outs bad enough you couldn't keep even the largest of flying insects from coming through the gaps. I chose Cedar Creek 38 CK because it had the washer and dryer in the bedroom slide out, which makes for a much roomier front closet and overall floor plan in the bedroom. As convenient as this seemed at first, it turned out to be a problem which required the slide out floor and external floor to be replaced. Although I have had to make numerous small repairs and modifications on a fairly regular basis (everything from replacing the sliding tracks on the pantry and garbage compartment drawers, replacing the ceiling fan, repairing and replacing the fireplace internal components, to placing angle iron braces underneath the floor to keep the plastic under- compartment panels from falling off while driving down the road) . Since purchasing it I and my wife have lived in the trailer primarily full time, and I must say, that overall, we really like this trailer. The overall quality of the trailer seems to be excellent in comparison to most other fifth wheel travel trailers I have both owned and observed. It holds heat really well, even in the most extreme winter weather. I did end up putting vents around the base of the bed, and in the steps leading up to the bedroom in order to allow for warm-air circulation which definately helps to keep poorly placed water lines from freezing. Likely, the biggest problem I have had is a premature aging of the roofing material. As I could not afford the convenience of a once in a lifetime fiberglass treatment, I simply coated the entire roof with three thick coats of white Flex Seal. So far, it seems to be working. Although the roof never leaked, it certainly would have had I waited much longer. The factory rubber roofing material is supposed to last at least 10 years, it barely made eight. It was developing soft spots and a rough enough texture that it couldn't be cleaned easily without risking tearing the material. Every time I have spoken to the factory about any type of repair or problem, they have always told me I need to bring the trailer to them. This seems to be an avoidance tactic that has worked well enough for the company that they continue to do it.
