2018 Freedom express second owners on our second trip the left rear axle hanger bracket tore clean away from the frame and twisted the rear of the hanger brackets. We barely made it back home. This is obviously a design flaw an RV frame should never fail after only 8 years. Call Forest River (parent company) their reply was we don't build the frame and forwarded me to Lippert who also blew me off. Both companies refuse to be accountable for building a travel trailer with a terrible frame design. These Lippert frames are known to start cracking and start separating. Lippert and Forest River already have one frame recall in place its just a matter of time these shitty frames are also recalled let's hope it before some get killed. Come Forest River and Lippert own up you sold trailers with dangerous frames. Show less

terrible build , leak the first year I got it. shower drain broke. cabinet door fall all over electrical problem second battery from factory no more good. just got everything fix 2 months ago. and everything is falling appart again. terrible build. Show less

This is a basic trailer, but it is easy to tow and has all of the basics you need plus 100W solar and off road tires. It is perfect for weekend or overnight stays. However! There are a few Cons about it. 1. The bathroom is too small and the shower inside is worthless. 2. You cannot pull out the shelves in the fridge because the bathroom door is in the way. Bad design. 3. The fold down futon sofa is too hard on one side and too soft on the other. There is no good fix to make it comfortable. 4. The fold down bunk only holds 100 lbs... So not good for a bigger child. 5. The solar does not run the A/C. Other than those complaints, we are happy with it because it serves our needs. We didn't need anything fancy and spend most of our time outdoors. Most of the time, it is just the two of us and the dog. Show less

The RV was delivered in excellent condition with only a couple of very minor issues. A couple of staples were showing under the flooring but the dealer had that fixed as soon as it was pointed out. The black water flush did not work but after a quick inspection, the dealer located a kink in the line to the tank so after straightening the line the system worked properly. Show less

We are very happy with our RV, the quality and workmanship is superior to all other RVs we looked at before making our purchase and overall we are satisfied with the value for the price. We had a minor issue with the mattress that came with our RV and when we expressed our concern Coachmen's Warranty and Service Manager Debra O'Rourke promptly offered to send us a replacement mattress but we had already decided to purchase a premium RV mattress so she arranged to send us a cheque to cover the cost. My wife and I are Alaska residents. As such, prepping for winter on the 16bh is a snap! All of the drain points are located in easy to reach areas. The fresh water tank (after draining) separates from the pump, there is a separate pick up hose that draws the antifreeze into the lines. All that's needed is open the valves and the antifreeze pumps in! Slick and fast! The quality, fit, and finish are excellent. With 18 hours of summer daylight, the solar panel works great! Longest trip last year culminated in a total of 1800 miles. Not a single problem! 100%+, well thought out! Could not be happier. FYI, our tow vehicle is a Buick Enclave. The 16bh is a dream to tow, and it's weight is far less than capacity. I would fate this unit at "ten stars" if the program would allow for it! Show less

It’s a step up from a Coleman. Very disappointing when our camper was delivered. Poor finishing touches. Kinda cheap inside after you look closer to it. Our stove never worked from first trip out. No way you can take it off grid. There is no power to it. On day two the fridge drains your battery. The heater insulation melted and the heater was full of water. Crack in the side camper wall happened after first use. Good luck trying to get customer service on the phone. There is not enough power to run the camper fridge alone by itself. We have two lithium batters and the fridge drains it. We honestly don’t think they even put insulation in the walls. I wish I can get my money back. I feel so ripped off! Show less

Very happy with this Travel Trailer. Have owned several other makes but this is by far the best. Lived out of this camper a week a month for 2 years in high altitude colorado while building a house. Experienced many cross country adventures with almost no problems over 4 years. 5 out of 5 stars on this one. Show less

Bought this trailer new in 2021 and absolutely love it. Great layout and plenty of storage. Love the large closet at the entry that doubles as a pantry. Nice size bathroom with a lot of cabinet space. Outdoor kitchen is ok...dump that Colman grill it's junk. We got the upgraded AC, frameless windows and theater seating. Quality - There was some trim that needed staples touched up and one trim piece that was cut short all taken care of by the dealer. We only put 10,000 miles on it so far with half of that last year after I retired. Show less

This camper has served us well. Very well built, sturdy. You truly don’t know that it’s back there while hauling. Only issue we have found is the cheap scissor jacks they put on. Do recommend buying different ones. Spend 33,000 on a camper these should be better quality. Show less
