My RV experience started with a used tent trailer with a 10ft box. Never used any of the plumbing per se, even cooked outside. It was nice to get inside though, when the rain started pouring down. The kids went to college and it was just me, so I sold the tent trailer and began looking at Tear Drops. However, at 6'4" tall many TD's would not fit my frame. And then there's that foot box thing-too restrictive. Then I saw some square back designs that were very appealing. Next I happed on a forum where a guy purchased a square back RV called a VRV Flyer. It was unique in design in that the rear galley was replaced with a cargo door. There is also a man door and two windows. The couch inside, which sits parallel to the tongue, becomes either a twin sized bed, or a queen sized bed, raised off the floor of the all aluminum trailer. There is a pullout galley under the couch. In couch mode there is enough room to put a full size dirt bike inside the trailer! You can seat three adults on the couch. Room to get inside out of the weather if needed. Torsion bar suspension, so ground clearance is improved. It has a reversible fan in the roof with a rain sensor. It's also well insulated. The whole kit and kaboodle weighs 1,000 lbs. Also has brakes. This trailer is truly plug and play. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating for livability on this little RV is for that very reason, it's is small. Long term use would require some adjustments. And the 4 stars for Factory Warranty/Support-It's my understanding that VRV Flyers are no longer manufactured. However, you can still find them for sale.
