This is my second Outlaw Class C. I have owned multiple Bigfoot Class Cs and multiple Winnebago Class As. All have been purchased new. All have had warranty concerns of some kind. These are complex, moving machines and problems happen. Same as new cars, motorcycles, and every other kind of machine. That said, large RV dealers tend to be uniquely awful at addressing issues, and COVID and the crush of RV buyers in recent years has exacerbated wait times. So I try to avoid large dealers and stick with small shops. I have found Thor to be good about providing names of authorized repair shops that are competent and relatively fast. I had some minor "punch list" items on this latest rig and these were resolved as quickly as COVID supply chain issues permitted. If you can learn how to address minor problems on your own, you will have a happier RV experience. If not, honestly just avoid RVs, stay in hotels, and find something to complain about there. If you own an RV, you need to understand and follow the component's operating manuals, follow the maintenance schedules, use common sense, don't take shortcuts at the campsite, take care of the rig, be gentle on the components, and slow down when you drive. These things are a blast if you use your head and accept that you are driving a house down the road at freeway speeds. The Outlaw is a unicorn. The garage doesn't have to be a garage. It can be a truck bed, a studio, a private bedroom with a patio, a laundry room, an office, whatever you want. Very versatile. But look at the weight of the rig and consider the weight of the toy you want to bring along before you buy. If you have a heavy toy, buy a heavy rig. If you have dual sport or dirt bikes, coolio, this 29J is your rig. You have a Razor or a trike, you will need a bigger rig. Overall, this rig rocks, and that's why I have owned two of them. But this is a mass produced rig, built to maximize margin for Thor. If you want better or different components, it's pretty easy to mod this rig. I personalize all my rigs with the gadgets and mods that make me happy, so I don't worry too much about a radio that sucks or a thin mattress. I install a better radio or a mattress topper. No big deal, just a little extra cost and I've got exactly what I want at a reasonable price. Happy camper here.

We are on our second trip. Bad rain the whole way. We have to pull over because of a noise under the coach. The exhaust pipe for the generator breaks off and is dragging. We also discover rain coming in they the A/C unit in the garage. The rain apparently shorted out the bed that you can electronically raise and lower in the garage and it came crashing down on our motorcycles. Broke windshields/mirrors and scratched them up. The pull down shade pull apart the first time you use them. Quality is so poor, I am so disappointed in this we now want to get rid of it.

Ramp angle too steep for motorcycle and whatever they put on the ramp made is slick and the bike kept sliding down. Tie downs weren’t even secured and pulled right out oft he floor. First trip water came pouring. Down on my head at the first stop light and the unit spent the rest of the season at the dealership trying to-get it fixed. No storage! RearAc leaked i rain! Had the class a version when it was damon and the quality was much better

Pros: Ford Frame, Powerstroke Diesel, looks of the MH, toyhauler layout. Cons: Overall quality of workmanship sucks! Have had trouble with, slideout multiple times, leveling system multiple times, cabinets multiple times, tv cable has never worked, came brand new with leaking valves stem extension on inner rear tire, cabinet doors falling off due to insufficent fasteners, drawer won't shut due to wiring routed inside of drawer frame, sink drain disconnected everytime slide out deployed, can't fill front fuel tank, many other small things. We have had it about 18 months and have 17,000 miles on it. We used it very frequently. We have yet to have a trip that something did not go wrong! Brought back to the dealer when it was new. They kept 4 months and did not fix everything! Dealer sucks and Thor sucks! Product quality and workmanship are terrible!

They say you can carry your toys. I have a Harley trike and cannot get it up or down without using other ramps as the door pitch is too high. I 'm fighting with Thor to get them to add an extension to the door to give in a better pitch.. Our unit came with the wrong legs on the couches in the garage thus when in the flat position they were not even and you couldn't use it as a bed. The pull out couch came with the wrong air mattress. We have found that the warranty process is poor and overall we know our unit was not properly inspected prior to leaving the factory. Its a good concept as its the only class C toyhauler but the sleeping area design is not good nor comfortable. Its been back at the purchasing dealer for 2 months now awaiting parts.
