I bought the Sunray Sunset Sport 109 and had several issues such as the main window screen cracking, door handle screw cover fell off, and a misaligned storage lock. I used the warranty and it was all fixed. Other than those minimal issues, I am very happy with the camper. It’s a great camper for solo camping and gives me all the comforts of home in a small profile. Pulling this with my 4cyl car is a breeze other than a little wind drag from my car being shorter than a high profile SUV. I expect some issues as this is a lower price bracket than other campers. As long as it stays safe to tow, I have no issue with this camper.

I’m not sure if I got a “Friday” trailer or if all of the Sunset trailers are built poorly. There’s so much wrong with this trailer I will just list and not explain. 1. The screen for the main window is too small. 2. The vinyl is missing in spots on the sofa bed cushions. 2. The door frame is separated. 4. The deadbolt and door jam holes don’t line up. 5. The plastic frame around the A/C is cracked. 6. The refrigerator doesn’t seem to work on propane like it’s supposed to, refrigerator just keeps saying “check.” 7. The main ground wire was not secured properly, the power would not work including the furnace. 8. The bed frame broke off from the wafer board, just glued together. 9. The passenger side break/turn signal stopped working. 10. Screws are falling out from the woodwork, because the holes were miss cut not allowing screws to connect. 11. The propane regulator seems not to function properly. 12. Walls separated at the seams. 13. Trim work not secured. THESE ITEMS, except for a few, were discovered on the first camping trip. Other items were discovered pre purchase and post purchase prior to use.

DO NOT PURCHASE anything from this company. They are adorable, but don't be fooled. They are cheaply built. Worse than that, if you have a problem and need to use the warranty then you will see the worst customer support ever. When we upgrade we will make sure not only to avoid this company, but avoid any RV dealer who uses them. Going forward I won't trust an RV dealership who works with this company, that is how awful their customer service is.

I bought the Sunray sport new and used it 3 times. In New Mexico the axle snapped sending the tire down the highway, ripped off the tire fender and sent the vehicle into the other lane. It is advertised as having a 5 year warranty on the axle. Dexter axle and Sunray will not cover it. Multiple excuses given from both companies. Dexter blames me because the serial number corroded off the axle. Sunray points their finger at Dexter axle. Anyone owning this Sunray or any Sunray with a Dexter axle please inspect it for cracks. Mine gave no warning before the axle snapped. Stay clear from these companies and check your axles. Someone could die from this failure.

Bought our '19 Sunray 109, off-road package, brand new in 2018 and for the first few outings it worked great for me and my wife except for the fact that we took it off-road and during the trip, we lost all but 2gal of our 17 gal water tank(1st issue). Read reports that it's due to the overflow/vent tube allowing the water to slosh around and out the tube. The next camping season, we rented it to a college student who took it everywhere and it worked fine for him and his friends. Now in 2020, things are starting to go south. Intermittent issues with the refrigerator, guessing it wasn't working because the trailer wasn't level enough. Unplugging the trailer from an AC outlet caused fuses to blow. Was being towed to AZ from CO and the weld which held the spare tire mount onto the frame failed and the entire assembly came off into the road. Luckily it wasn't on a highway when it happened. However when it came off, it ripped the wheel well off the right side of the camper. The Air conditioner failed and had to be replaced (cheap unit to begin with we think). We're now in edge as to what will fail. Seems sunset rv didn't do their due diligence with quality control.

Simple, easy to use and great price. The bad, won't fit in my garage. It's 8'8" with the roof rack and lifted suspension. But fits under my patio. Love it. If you are on the fence just get it. I'm sure the resale is great since I get lots of heads turning and questions at the gas pump.

Sunsettrailers.com Disappointing That word isn't strong enough. What is a cute design and has decent materials suffers from major lack of attention to detail. Also customer service doesn't exist, maybe in name only. I've had mine for 8 months and it still isn't right. The dealership sort of fixed the crushed wheelwell opening. Things I've dealt with without any support from the manufacturer are. Water pump doesn't shut off when pressure is reached, valve in water heater backwards,  junk under the tile ( they didn't even sweep the floor before laying tile ) , window sealer all over the side of the trailer, the water tank level hasn't worked since I picked it up and they send me a replacement part ( two weeks after promised) that's been sitting outside in the rain ( that shows no concern for workmanship ), and the indicator still doesn't work. Trim is constantly falling off because it was never secured, no staple or glue, just stuck in place. The worst of all is no responce from Sunset Park RV. They don't answer the phone , return messages or emails. I did get one responce on a Friday with a promise to call me on Monday, two weeks later no word. It's potentially a nice trailer. If you're looking at them you better hope it's perfect out the door or you're SOL. Support is nonexistent !!!
