2002 Monaco Cayman Rv Was nice to live in. Slept 3 people comfortably. I liked the seperate shower and toilet spaces. Overall quality of the appliances was average. The floor plan worked out well. Driving with car in tow on the highway in cruise control was effortless, I especilly liked the exhaust brake feature. Good mileage for a Deisel. I never used the warranty.

We purchased a used unit with only 4026 miles in Aug. 2019. Had been stored in lean to of barn for all of it's life and is in good condition. Anyone considering purchase of one of these Monaco rigs should be aware of the fact that Monaco went bankrupt in 2009 so documentation is non-existent. More importantly, all rigs built on RR2R chassis had a recall for tendency or the trailing arms that hold rear axle to the frame to break. We had our replaced immediately by Source Engineering in Eugene OR. Cost was $2600 by well worth the peace of mind that your rear axle isn't going fall off. We also had them install their Ride Enhancement Kit that greatly improved the overall comfort of traveling in this coach. Overall, we love our Cayman and are glad we made the upgrade from the '96 Tiffin Allegro Bus we owned previously.

This vehicle is quite maneuverable and easy to drive. Also has enough power to go anywhere. It pulls mountain passes even while towing a large trailer with no problems. Will also tow a sizeable trailer with no problems.

For an entry leve Monaco the Cayman has the traditional Monaco great fit and finish. With the 4 bag RR4 road master chassis with no modification the ride gives a porpoise effect. I installed the Source Engineering trailing arms then the SE Ride Enhancement Kit. The REK made a big improvement and highly recommended.

I have owned this 06 34'Monaco SBD for 2 years now.The only repair I had to make was the trailing arms which was a manufacturers error on many Monaco's from 04-09. In my experience the drive-ability is superior with great mileage (10mpg) for a motor home of this size. It pulls my CRV toad as if it wasn't there! I love my Monaco!
