We started by being told we could have stabilizing jacks added to our 22M Minnie Winnie, after paying and driving to the HWH location only to be told that they couldn’t install them, we then had difficulty getting our money back from Lichtsinn RV in a timely manner. The dealership broke the radio bezel when they switched our backup cameras( they had been installed incorrectly, left showed right and right showed left). The roller shade over the dining table was broken while we were at the dealership, they said they switched it for a new one and soon after we left the dealer the spring broke again and it doesn't work. When they checked the back and grey water tanks the inside valves were left open so the first time we went to drain them the sewer came shooting out. The back and grey water labels are also switched. This is not our first rv so we are experienced with the operation. We have several other small issues but the biggest problem is that Lichtsinn does not want to hear from us. Buyer beware! We bought Winnebago and Lichtsinn because of their reputation, never again!

Good afternoon. We were surprised to read your review as your last conversation with Jason was very positive. We did and do greatly apologize for HWH not being able to install the jacks. We had no reason to believe they would be unable to install them on your model of RV, which they have done for us many times before, however, this model apparently lost the ability to have them installed after the new chassis upgrade due to more limited clearance. There was some confusion as to the amount of your refund. Your original payment included the jacks plus some additional work you were having completed (wiring/ brake controller which we do have record of you agreeing to.) We fully refunded the amount for the jacks, and the balance you discussed as "having difficulty getting back" was for additional work you had completed. We did end up covering this amount as a good will gesture to offset your experience and your time. In addition, we worked with you to resolve any additional issues that surfaced. At the conclusion of your last phone conversation with Jason on 8/28 (which is the last we've heard from you) his understanding was that these items were resolved as you mutually agreed with him that everything was handled and agreed upon. We once again apologize for your inconvenience and the frustration that accompanied your experience. Our team is more than happy to continue to assist you.

**WARNING** Do NOT buy here. The dumbest thing I have (up to this date) done. Is to sign a contract w/ Litschinn and gave them a $5,000 Non-refundable deposit over a year ago. I still have no RV or even a VIN number. When I first ordered my RV OVER A YEAR AGO. I was told the estimated delivery time frame was late summer. We are now in mid-Oct. I was also told that the Mercedes chassis might go up in price but it would be nominal and that Winnebago hadn’t raised their prices on pending contracts- both have raised their prices, so, the price I was quoted at signing has now gone up $6,000. But, that was about 4 months ago- I’m sure it’s increased by at least $10,000 by now, who knows what it will be in January or beyond. By what I was told- I should be in the RV by now, nope. The last email I received notified me of yet, another delay, the delivery was pushed back to January. But who knows when it will actually be ready. That’s 15 months after I put down a non-refundable deposit. PLEASE learn from my stupidity and ask yourself these questions- if you answer “yes”, to all… go for it and good luck!! 1) IF you believe- the deal they gave you is the deal you’ll get- pay them a $5,000 non-refundable 2) IF you believe- In 18 months you won’t find the same RV for a better or same price- gamble $5,000 non-refundable 3) IF you believe- you’ll actually get your RV at the time they estimated (hahahaha)- gamble their $5,000 non-refundable deposit. 4) IF you believe- you won’t have ANY life circumstances that will change- gamble a $5,000 non-refundable deposit. 5) IF you believe- the RV you want now will be the only RV and the same RV you want 18 months from now- gamble $5,000 non-refundable deposit. In the time I put down my non-refundable deposit, we bought a Tiffin Wayfarer (which made us realize- we don’t want the Winnebago), bought a Jeep, sold the Jeep, bought a truck, ordered an Airstream (w/ a $1,000 REFUNDABLE deposit) 3 months ago. We are picking up the Airstream next week.

You had contracted to purchase a special-order Winnebago Navion 24D from our dealership on October 4th, 2021. At the time of commitment, you signed a purchase agreement and agreed to a non-refundable down payment of $5,000 in exchange for a special order with specific color and equipment specifications. At the time of purchase, no timeframe was given for completion as you were purchasing an unscheduled RV. Due to unknown parts and chassis constraints within the RV industry the production completion has been delayed. At this time your Navion 24D is scheduled for completion for January based on current information from Winnebago Industries. While we took your commitment and signed agreement to provide a non-refundable deposit seriously, it appears you did not, as you're already on your 2nd RV, per your review, since just 1 year ago. A non-refundable deposit exists to protect both the buyer (we commit to secure your production slot in the order your deposit was received) and us, as the dealer, since regardless if you take delivery of the order or not, we will be receiving it from Winnebago and will incur the costs associated with that. As the number one Winnebago Dealer in the Country, it does not surprise me that other dealers (our competition) would speak negatively about our processes.

We recently purchased a used (barely) Winnebago Navion from Lichtsinn. This is our third RV and we’ve had many cars over the 59 years of our marriage. Never before have we the excellent “everything” as with this one. Certainly we’ve had excellent service before, but we’ve also had the worst, including with one previous motor home. We LOVE Lichtsinn. There were a few problems that Lichtsinn was quick to address. The service department is always available for help, and they know what they are talking about, which is rare in our RV experience! They are kind, their facility is totally welcoming, and we are thrilled. Thanks especially to Abby, Deanna, Brandon, Kevin, and Jay. We couldn’t be more pleased, and we’ll be back.

Terrible dealership that actively harms their customers interests and does not try to satisfy reasonable requests. I entered purchase agreement in Jan 2021 to purchase a coach. It was to be delivered that summer 7 months later with some delays. BTW no explanation ever about the delays. During that time the finance department at Lichtsinn instructed the lenders to do a hard check on my credit each and every month during this delay. They had zero issue with these multiple unnecessary credit checks harming me and my credit score while they were so far off from even having a unit to deliver. I had to raise a huge fuss for them to stop dinging my credit every month once I noticed. Second issue is that their updates for expected delivery date are meaningless since they keep changing every month and now state delivery of August 2022. I’m not getting my order for over a year and a half. I have requested a significant $5,000 deposit be returned as they can’t deliver as promised. I am not asking to be let out of purchase contract. I’ll still buy if they can provide the unit I ordered. When I make a deposit it is for an imminent upcoming purchase that will finalize fairly soon. It is not for a dealership to hold my money for years on an item that they can’t deliver to me in a timeframe that was predicted multiple times but here I still am out a deposit I requested back and no RV after more then a year.Buy your RV from General RV or any other reasonable dealership that offers the norm of refundable deposits especially in situations like this. Dealers should strive to make customers happy if it’s a simple request that can be accommodated without any harm to the dealership. Businesses that actually make things frustrating and actively harm the interests and finances of their clients should be avoided.

Good afternoon - RVInsider is finally allowing dealers to respond to reviews. I certainly do apologize that your delivery has been delayed. Unfortunately, the timing is out of our hands and is based on Winnebago's production as they try to work through supply chain issues. We have updated you, as we do all of our guests, on a regular basis as we receive additional information on the timing of their deliveries. Regarding your deposit, Non-refundable down payments protect the buyer and the seller in a purchase of this size - you will never hear that our dealership called a guest to let them know that their refundable down payment will be honored and returned, and their ordered RV will be sold to a new buyer at a higher price, or many other scenarios that occur to the detriment of the buyer, when down payments are refundable. We are very clear about this policy up front. I do apologize this was not satisfactory to you. Sincerely, Ron Lichtsinn

Un-ethical, greedy, could care less about people’s circumstances, only want your money. I signed a contract to purchase and put down my $5K down payment. between the time I signed the contract and my assigned pick-up day life events beyond my control happened that prevented me from taking possession. The unit I was to purchase was used and it was sold immediately after I refused delivery. I was told they would hold my $5K until November 2021. Well as life would have it again due to circumstances beyond my control I will not be able to buy an RV. I asked for my $5K back since they were not at a loss as the unit sold immediately. The ethical and honest thing to to would be to recognize I would be a definite customer in the future when things improved for me if they would have done the ethical and honest thing and refund my deposit. As it stands I wouldn’t buy a bottle of water from them if I was dying in the desert! These guys are WORSE than used car salesmen if that is possible!

Good afternoon - RVInsider is finally allowing dealers to respond to reviews. I do apologize for the delay you experienced with our parts team. Due to the increase popularity of RV Travel since Spring of 2020 we had an extremely heightened volume of parts inquiries from 4th quarter 2020 throughout last year. Our parts team was simply unable to keep up with the tremendous demand which this created and unfortunately our guests experienced longer than normal wait times. We do apologize for the wait you experienced. We have added additional parts specialists since this time. Thank you for taking the time to provide us a review. Sincerely, Ron Lichtsinn

Good afternoon Alan - RVInsider is finally allowing dealers to respond to reviews. I do apologize we did not have more inventory at that time. With RV shortages across the country, we were in a similar situation in the summer of 2021. Currently we do have many Class B and C RVs available to view on our lot and the large class A's are ramping up production in the upcoming months. I do apologize you weren't helped as you had hoped by a member of our sales team. We have added additional people to help in this capacity since you were here. If you are in town again, I invite you to please stop in again and we would be happy to help you. Sincerely, Ron Lichtsinn

My experience with the sales, new owner orientation and finance teams at Lichtsinn was great. I especially want to give a shout out to Deanna Rodriguez who patiently answered at least 100 emails and telephone calls over the six months leading up to the purchase of my first rv. She even took the trouble to get back to me on her day off. She is extremely knowledgable. And the one time she didn’t know an answer she didn’t dodge or fudge it. Instead, she got back to me quickly with a thorough response. Deanna was motivated by an interest in being helpful. There was no hard sell and nothing slick. She was always honest and demonstrated integrity throughout. Brandon, who helped with financing and related matters, was organized, prepared, informative, friendly and he has a very good sense of humor. The guys who provided an orientation were not rushed or impatient. They didn’t just explain things. They took an interest in whether or not I understood what they were saying. And when I didn’t they explained things in different terms. That’s what good teachers do. I’m not just satisfied with my experience at Lichtsinn, I’m grateful for it. Can’t recommend them enough.
