Reliable 5 cylinder diesel gets 22 mpg, and is quiet while running.
Age related are cabinet door bumpers turned to goo and felt pads replaced them. Climate control cables from knobs on the dash have become very slow to move, no way to put oil on them.
When dry camping, and I am gone, the refrigerator is the only thing requiring power, but the radio power amp is ON as a parasitic load. I pull a fuse, but it could be wired so the switch for Radio-TV could have center OFF. The swing down spare tire should have a large sign stating that the short screws for mounting are in a compartment under the passenger floor mat.

I love this RV because it is easy to drive and very maneuverable driving in town as well as back country roads. On the inter state highways I average cruising 22 mpg and as much as 24 mpg being a 5 cylinder turbo Mercedes diesel. The seating gives you a great view of the road. The inside is very user friendly. I rearranged and up-sized the TV from 14" to 28" were my wife and I can watch while we are cooking. Also installed a Sony surround sound system for DVD movies as well as CD for music which sounds great. Also updated the cab radio and added better speakers for better sound and also to provide hands free cell phone plus blue tooth and added Sirius satellite radio to add to the driving experience. The addition of solar panels extends its versatility. It is very versatile using around home carrying materials for doing home projects as well.

This RV is fuel efficient! The ride is very comfortable, only have to change oil every 10,000 miles. The layout is solid; the bed in the back is ideal with storage underneath, same with the house batteries; can be accessed from the rear doors. With the right improvements, this is sustainable living on-the-go....

There is a lot of storage for a 22' unit, well laid out out, full bath, power couch folds down to make either 2 twins, full, or king bed by using all the cushions. Unit is 10 years old and looks new. We attribute that to the quality workmanship standards of Leisure Travel and past owners diligence in maintaining it. As someone else said: it's like having a Mercedes with living quarters including full bathroom, living area, bed, and kitchen. Delightful unit!!

After extensive research and test drives, we chose the Free Spirit by Leisure Travel for its quality of craftsmanship and best layout of the floor plan. The placement of the refrigerator and microwave is ideally located for easy access, unlike other models. We love the high quality of the beautiful cabinetry and never an issue with the latches. The bathroom is spacious, one of the few companies that offer a full size medicine cabinet and a flip-up shelf. We have had this rig for 4 years and never had any issues. Storage for the two of us is more than adequate and the 20 mpg makes it economical and of course is easy to drive.
