Overall our experience with out Outback has been very disappointing. From the day we shows up to pick it up at dealership we had issues with the electrical, microwave and AC unit. After they finally fixed it at dealership one e we got home the charging system went out and our converter. 30 days later we had warranty service fix that and the service company was great. Every time we take it out we have something else wrong with it from the microwave falling out while being towed, the shelf unit falling off of its hinges, barn door falling off of its slide guide and the gas hose clamps failing. We do like the look of the inside finishes and the overall layout. Also ot pulls like a dream and the features on it are great. To ba they didn’t build it more solid though and trouble shoot their electrical systems from the factory. As you can see I would not advise someone to buy t an Outback. Show less

We bought our 2021 Outback 301UBH and have so far been able to use it 6-7 times. The first shake-down trip went well, maybe 200 miles. Loved every feature. 2nd trip was from Central CA to Idaho and back through CO, etc... About 1800 miles, +/-. It went well up there, but returning home down I70 by the Flaming River gorge, we had a complete brake failure. It was terrifying. I got her 1/2 way down just using the truck brakes. The other half was hazard lights and stopping at every turnout to let the smoking truck brakes cool down. I was able to get a wheel off on the trailer, and I knew immediately it was bad. There was grease on the back side of the tires and oozing out of the brake drums on the inside. Not one wheel, all 4. I spent quite a while trying to do a roadside brake job, but the pads were soaked in grease. I limped her back home, emailed keystone and our dealer, and didn't hear anything back. Nothing. I called the dealer and got the "We'll call you back" message 3-4 times. So I called other dealers. Nobody wanted to look at it under warranty. I found a few Keystone dealers that would look at it, but only if we paid cash for the diag and repair. I told them it was only a few months old, but didn't matter. I used to be a tech, so I reached out to Keystone again, months later. After a while, I got an apologetic response. They sent me the complete brake setup, both axles, for me to install myself, which was great because I didn't think any dealers wanted to do it. My selling dealer finally called me and said, "Look, don't bring it here. Trust me. We are good to buy from, but if you can get it repaired somewhere else, do it.". So I was happy to do the brakes myself. It seems that either the axle seals weren't seated correctly (all 4 were just sitting on the spindles, or somebody on the assembly line pumped 10x too much grease in there and blew the seals out. I can tell you that in total, I probably removed 1/2-3/4 of a gallon of axle grease during the repair cleanup. It was unreal. Maybe Dexter/keystone had a grease gun malfunction and it shot wayyyyy to much grease that day on the assembly line. Who knows. I know that after almost 5 months with a dead trailer that had no brakes, we were up and running and they work great now. So we took our second big trip to South Dakota. 1600 miles one way. Now the back corner of the roof is lifting off the walls. It's just coming right off. Not a little....I can stick my fingers in the gap. Never hit anything, never a branch or twig...nothing. So, I emailed Keystone last week. Still no response. I went to the Keystone dealer here, and they said, "Roof is not structural. That's probably going to be a cash repair.". They discussed it a bit and said to send pics of the roof coming off and they'd send them to Keystone for approval of a repair. Surprise....no response. So I bought a brand new trailer hoping to avoid this stuff. That big blue "3 Year Warranty" sticker really did a number on me. The truth is, Keystone is either overwhelmed, or stalling to drag out repairs. I do know that after many months they sent me the brakes to repair my trailer, which was good, but it's happening all over again with the roof coming off. Dealers want nothing to do with warranty work for Keystone, and at this point, I get it. It took me / is taking me months to get a response from them. I am praying that this dealer can get this roof issue fixed soon. I will never buy another new Keystone trailer, period. Not because it isn't everything we wanted, but because we can't get it fixed or even get a timely response from Keystone when we need one. I'm not picky, not a whiner. I get the labor issues and parts issues. I really do. But at this point, I've used her maybe 6 times? $45k dollars? And still no response when the roof is coming off? We love this trailer....when it works, but never again. Show less

Lived in our 23' UltraLite for 2 months (2 adults, 1 sm dog) very comfortably. Could use a little more bathroom and kitchen prep space, so we'll likely upgrade to another brand to get this. WHY WE WON'T BUY ANOTHER KEYSTONE: multiple issues with a brand new 2021 trailer. Wiring from the Air360 was not done correctly/completed by factory so we had to take it to a dealer to have them cut the seal on the top, find the wires and track them to the router install location. Covered by warranty but really inconvenient. On delivery the bathroom faucet was leaking so another was ordered for us. Had to return to dealer for install but that's 120 miles roundtrip for us so we asked to have it sent to install ourselves. This required us paying for postage to send BACK the defective faucet first, then the dealer would send the new one. Covered by warranty but really inconvenient. Now the on-the-road issues: (1) Cable connection to the multi-function controller is incorrect resulting in us having to hack the connection to use the other cable source. Repairman on the road said it's likely the splitter inside the multifunction controller. Will have to return to dealer to have that looked at. (2) Propane regulator failed. No heat delivering. Had to buy $100 regulator and replace ourselves. (3) Water Pump failed. Repairman on road replaced. Vents are still "leaking" sawdust and shavings after some 2500 miles. Nailheads pop out in a few spots. Window screws were all loose and leaking air. Window blinds attached poorly so overstressed on closing. All poor quality control. Now the BIG DEAL: have contacted Keystone customer service no less than 12 times. 9 emails and multiple calls. All to get them to cover some of these on-road expenses under warranty. Have sent photos, given all required info, and they NEVER reply. They tell you what to send and don't follow up. Last time I was told "your four emails must've gone to spam here". Really? Was told on the phone earlier this morning that they'd send a call tag to return the defective parts (regulator, water pump) but hours later, no email yet. THIS IS FRANKLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. That's why we'll purchase from another manufacturer next time. Show less

Great floor plan, all the features are nice. However the build quality and finish is absolute crap and I can not be more disappointed when I bought my unit new that was supposed to be the same as the display modle. I’m pretty sure it was the apprentices first day on the job when they built it. Basically had to hire a carpenter to fix all of the finishing problems as they would not be addressed otherwise. Much of the trim was just placed against the wall and never attached and fell off, even the pretty strapping on the ceiling, barn door panelling has been peeling up and the door was never mounted properly. The bathroom door actually can not be locked from the inside and if you have a slight slope the wrong way the barn door will just roll open continually. Outdoor locks where never properly attached and couldn’t lock. The hidden pantry door pulles away from its mount and then can not be opened. Screws on the outside of the unit are over torqued and stripped and about 1/10 screws on the exterior have fallen out. The fan in the bedroom couldn’t blow a candle out so the bedroom typically overheats even though the main area stays nice and cool with a/c. Some kind of glue was just smeared on the walls to try to cover the staples holding on the panel board and just looks like someone wiped their dirty hands on the walls. Overall I extremely regret buying their unit because of the tragic build quality. Stay away… hopefully I can save someone else from buying these lemons. Show less

Great RV.. bunkhouse is a great space for kids, love the outdoor kitchen! The blue LED lights make it pretty at night and the sound system is great. It is in great shape and perfect for a family. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. No damage at all. Show less

I purchased this wrig new 3 months ago from Curtis Trailers Portland, Oregon. I live it in full time and did a big trip straight out of the dealer's lot upon delivery. after 7000 miles through 11 states it only had one minor issue during the first 2 months - the water pump backfilled the fresh water tank causing it to overflow out the fill port a couple of times. since that trip it has had a few other issues during the last few weeks. the furnace stopped working (bad sail switch), the vinyl floor ripped under the weight of a misaligned pantry door, the tongue jack was intermittently inoperative and sometimes continued to run after taking my finger off the control switch (bad ground contacts). the tongue jack also started making a ratcheting noise and klunked badly while lowering. one of the gray tank blade valves was very hard to open and close (the dealer found excess adhesive in there causing it to bind and replaced the entire valve) and the kitchen sink pipe fittings had a very minor leak (both were replaced). Curtis Trailers (Beaverton) fixed everything under warranty except the water pump and ratcheting tongue jack as they couldnt duplicate either issue. but they did make a note of it in my file so it can be repaired under warranty in the future. The floor repair is perfect and not noticeable in any way (looks like brand new). I found their service personnel very accommodating and easy to deal with. I was very impressed with the quality of work they did and the fact they completed it on time in just a few days. This trailer has the perfect floorplan for me and i find it very comfortable to live in despite constantly moving from hot to cold climates. it has just the right amount of storage and plenty of living space. i never feel like the walls are closing in on me. the colors and materials used inside are very inviting and not like the typical RVs im used to. i am a bit unhappy with the production quality of the cabinetry and wall panels - ive found dozens of loose screws and several that just fell out on the floor (half of which i have no idea where they belong). but that stuff is easy to repair myself and i havent had any further issues since i went around and inspected/tightened every screw i could find. ive also spent some time insulating gaps inside the cabinets where plumbing & wiring are routed - i could feel a lot of cold air coming in around these huge gaps (some are 2-3" wide). ive also added rigid foam insulation to all the storage compartment doors as i could feel the cold air creeping into the trailer from these spaces - the pass through storage especially as its not insulated or heated and is directly beneath the bed. my half ton pickup pulls it well even though i'm close to maxing out the cargo capacity of the trailer so im very pleased i went with an ultra lite model. in general, im very happy with the livability of the wrig and the comfort level. it's had some issues but mostly minor and teething issues should always be expected with any new wrig. cant say enough about Curtis Trailers - their sales, parts dept and service dept at BOTH of their locations are exceptional.
