JAYCO really sucks! The place that is repairing our RV called a says that JAYCO won't cover the awning that blew off, while driving down the freeway, because we didn't have it so the repair place could determine what caused it to fail. So, we were supposed to take what was left of our 22 foot awning and try and stuff it inside our RV so they can inspect it before they would cover it under warranty? I had to cut it off on the side of the freeway. It wasn't safe to drive with it the way it was. Never again.

We drove 7 hours from NY to PA to get our trailer sticker price $53k at the end of January 2021. We tested most things to ensure proper operation with the exception of the AC units and water, as the systems were not operational in January, pipes were winterized and 15K AC could not be operated as it is solely controlled by Jaycommand via the thermostat. The middle of May we took the trailer to our seasonal lot at a nearby campground and set it up, then towards the end of May we had our first 80 degree weather at which time we tried to use the 15K AC in the main living area which wouldn’t even come on (not even the fan), so we called the closest Jayco dealer Albany RV which is about 30-40 minutes away from the campground to see if they could send someone out to check the AC at that time we were told they no longer even have a mobile repair unit and that we could bring the trailer into the shop but they were very backed up and it could take a while which obviously is not what we wanted to hear as we had just purchased our camper, paid for our seasonal lot rent, jacked and stabilized everything and set up the outside deck around the camper. I then contacted Dometic to see if they had any suggestions, they were wonderful and suggested we check power source, fuses and make sure wires we pushed in all the way they also stated per contract with Jayco they weren’t supposed to do anything with the AC units for the first year but they did suggest a local RV competitor that was an authorized service dealer for Dometic so we reached out to them and paid $352.03 which included a $125.00 mobilization charge and $23.03 tax to get a tech out to diagnose the AC, upon his arrival he discovered the wiring harness was never hooked up. I emailed the paid invoice to the RV dealer where we purchased the trailer and they submitted it to Jayco and Jayco authorized a reimbursement in the amount of $204 (didn’t even include the tax) which again we feel is very poor Customer Service, we could maybe understand Jayco not covering the mobilization charge if we had owned the trailer for a long period of time and something failed over time but the fact it obviously came from the factory this way again we feel this was terrible Customer Service. I also want to share some of the other issues we’ve found in the 2-1/2 months we’ve used the camper. 1. The water lines in the bathroom sink are reversed (hot is actually cold and cold is actually hot) again in our opinion very poor craftsmanship and a lack final quality control check. 2. The heater duct hose that is located under the kitchen counter is torn. 3. Apparently the underbelly of the camper that is supposed to be completely sealed as our camper is supposed to have the Artic package is in fact not sealed completely which is allowing rodents to get into one of the kitchen cabinets and cabinet under the bathroom sink which but up against each other. 4. Then the weekend of July 24th we went over for a couple days, after being there for a few hours I noticed the area carpet that is between the island and the table and area carpet in front of the couch appeared to be wet upon further investigation we discovered the water pipes under the sink are leaking which has now caused the kitchen cabinet base and trim to swell and start to separate were connected., we’re hoping this hasn’t affected the integrity of the floor and sub floor under the kitchen island. Very unhappy customer

First big trip out the air conditioner would not cool in 80° overcast with a slight breeze. The 2nd stop in this 1st trip the kitchen slide was stuck in blocking Access to the fridge, pantry, stove. Had to cancel trip and drive home. Main tv would not stay down in cabinet and actually broke on the trip back home. Dining cushion was not even screwed in. Theater seating heaving up in the middle between the seats. Cut here sticker on hall wall for solar controller. Cut exactly there and there was a stud and piping. Stress fractures at bottom of cabinet for the bar. Island piece pops off every time we travel. Kitchen sink sprayer will not retract without a fight due to the weight pulley getting hung up on piping under the sink. Few other issues all on our first trip out.
