We were newbies. Spent two years looking and talking to RV owners. We were prepared for the 5k shake down period. Almost everyone told use there would be problems during this time. There were several minor ones that I fixed on my own. The only one that the dealer fixed was sensor on the fresh water tank. It required the left rear tires to be removed. I am not equipped to do that.
I read numerous post on various forums about adding steering accessories, shocks etc for better handling. Once I got use to the size I find the rig handles just fine. Obviously it is a bitch in a 30-40 mph crosswind but so is any large vehicle.
We have 16k on the unit it fits our needs very well.
The dealer leaves a little to be desired but our salesman is always available to answer questions. He gave us his cell number. I have called him in the evening, weekends and holidays with the usual newbie questions. He either answers immediately or calls back within a hour
The factory has been of little help on issues I have had on items in the coach.
I find the Jayco class A forum much more helpful. There is a wealth of information and knowledge there. The members are very helpful.
We will probably keep this unit for 2-3 more years. Then move up to a pusher diesel.
With a heated “basement” we can get a few more months of use here in Minnesota!

We bought this motorhome to live in full-time two weeks after we brought it home we were bringing in the living room slide-out and all of the sudden the side cargo door bust open and come to find out there is an L bracket hangs down into the storage area outside of the housing and that L bracket caught the leg of a camping chair and pushed it until it broke the cargo door I contacted jayco since they are known for their engineering to allow them to improve the design but instead they decline to fix the cargo door and we’re on our own now it will be 8 to 10 weeks before we get our motorhome and our house closed escrow so much for the great engineering or the great customer support both seem to be nonexistent never again! Also it’s advertised as a great storage area there is nothing in Jayco’s manuals warning you have any possibility of an issue so if you owe one of these motorhome you might want to look and avoid the same issue we had because they’re not gonna fix it.

We absolutely love our 2019 Jayco Precept Prestige Motorhome. We made our first trip camping and encountered no issues. We think it is solidly built and we could find nothing wrong with it. We owned a Jayco travel trailer previously and we loved it. We would recommend this motorhome to anyone looking for a gas engine. Drives wonderful! We just can't say enough good things about it.

Never again! Listening to the salesman describe his almost holy experience seeing the the RV’s built at the factory makes you feel warm and fuzzy. A lot of this is our fault. We did our homework but broke every rule in buying a motorhome. We were told it had a washer/dryer. Nope! Just shelves placed that were not wide enough to stay up. The work is sloppy, the materials cheap. We were told that the young men in charge of washing and applying the wonderful $1,700 special coating were complaining about such a big job. It looks awful! Our orientation was short and not done by a competent employee. We are learning by trial and error. It was dirty inside and out! There is much more but too long to tell. They were willing to fix some of the issues, so I gave them the whole month of May. I became angry and did spout off. I also apologized! They didn’t order parts until the end of May. The quality is lacking in every aspect. This was a dream we have had for years, to travel and enjoy each other’s company. That dream has been a stressful experience. More of a disappointing reality. We still don’t have all of the parts yet. We have no idea when we will begin our Journey. 🙁
