When we picked up our Our toy hauler from Colorado Springs camping world it was still dirty inside. Because they were late in allowing us to pick it up we had to drive directly to Missouri because my mom was on hospice. By the time we got to Missouri there was metal from the screws and wood pieces and everything else that was all over The floor inside. It had fallen out of every single opening possible. Got the trailer cleaned up and we ended up having to live in it for a month before my mother passed. So we knew all the things that we absolutely hated about it by the time we got back to Colorado. Besides them leaving all the dirt in the registers and up in the ceiling and not cleaning these are the issues we found that had to be repaired. 1. The sink in the bathroom was Extremely teeny that you couldn’t brush your teeth in it. 2. the corner cabinet was so low in the bathroom that you could not get your face over the sink to do anything. 3. I had to open up every single opening the registers under the sinks everything and vacuum out all the trash that was left. We are now four years later and I’m still getting pieces of trash from the ceiling coming out the vents after a drive even after cleaning everything. It looked like they swept all the trash into the heater vents. 4. I had to redo the entire bathroom because the panel in the shower even though it was never used was falling off the wall. So I went in with the plastic 4 x 8 wall sheets and cut them down and made the entire bathroom 100% waterproof. 5. When you travel the gray and black water pull handles when you empty the tanks hit the ground the handles break and fly off because they’re so low. 6. On those pulls not only do the handles break off like I said above they’re so low that it opens up your gray and black tanks and when you go to empty them all your crap is already by the Cap so of course it goes all over when you open it up 7. The design is bad and they left absolutely zero storage under the bed. 8. Not enough electrical outlets for today’s market. 9. Your hot water heater turned on and off is located in the bathroom right by the sink which is totally stupid it should be away from water. 10. Wasted space inside the trailer that should’ve been utilized for a countertop in the kitchen. 11. Both the Faucets in the bathroom and in the kitchen were broken by the time we got home. 12. All the plumbing either came apart or was loose. 13. You have two separate remotes one for TV and one for the radio. Unfortunately the TV turns on both the TV and the radio and the remote for the radio does not work at all. 14. They give you a remote to change the lights on your awning and also in your speakers and under your trailer. They do change the lights on the awning but unfortunately the lights under the trailer and in the speakers are red and when you have them turned on it looks like a little whorehouse with a devil face on the outside because the red lights inside the speakers glow. 15. The plastic covers over the wheels on the inside came loose so all the road dirt came inside. 16. The windows are all a joke they don’t close tight and they allow wind and rain to come through if it’s a certain way. 17. The wheel covers on the outside came off and we were broken by the time we got home. 18. The wiring for the awning is so loose were the folds together that it caused a short and the awning stopped working. 19. The back ramp and the front door allow road dirt and air to come through while you’re traveling. 20. You are not given any schematics of any kind for wiring or heating plumbing what all the doors are on the outside etc. so when you have an issue you’re pretty much left on your own to figure it out. Right now my main problem is that plugged into the 30 amp my microwave works but none of the outlets inside do and I’m trying to figure out how they’re wired. 20. All outlets inside say that their GFI but there’s no push buttons on them so how are you supposed to reset? 21. When you lay down both couches to make a queen bed with the table the table doesn’t fit all the way down and so you have bumps. 22. When you fold up the table it doesn’t fold up flat meaning like 4 to 6 inches away from the wall. It folds up sticking out on both sides to the point where I couldn’t get a four wheeler in without rubbing up against it. Anyway that was all within a month and so I went in totally gutted it and started fresh. I now have one huge sink in the kitchen with a real kitchen faucet. A big sink in the bathroom with a different type of cabinet. New plumbing more electrical new flooring old flooring stained really bad. I redid the folding beds So that they fold flush against the wall. Plus I got rid of the POS table that came with it and made two tables to fit in the same space that actually fit down where they’re supposed to for the bed. Anyway this is just some of it and now we love our trailer.

The heater broke in August its the sail switch im told camping world asked me to drop it off for 6 to 8 weeks. I said no way. Called Florida campingworld. I dropped it off Thanksgiving week. Came to pick it up they fixed my hot water heater it didnt work on electric was told the heater worked and they ordered me a new awning arm and when it come in they would call.the last week of Feb. They fixed all the problems except for the Heater under warranty. This heater should be taken off the market. I blame camping world for the way they treat their customers. I choose to buy a affordable rv. Im a 1st.time owner. Mines going up for sale next summer once i find a house to buy. My home burnt down 12/2019 I do find it convenient to live in it does have everything you need.

We bought the heartland pioneer in NC for our move to TX. My husband had just gotten home from being overseas for a year so he was super excited about getting us a camper for our family and dogs and not having to worry with hotels and such. Needless to say, it has been at a Camping World for longer than we had it. It’s a toy hauler right? So tell me why we put our motorcycle in it for the first time, the floor buckled and caused a dent in the middle of the floor?! Guess what? Warranty doesn’t cover it! 😡 AF Really? So, we leave on our trip out west and within a week, our floors flooded from a seal leak in the shower, the oven didn’t light, the door slide to the bedroom was stripped and bent, the screws of the blinds weren’t in the wall all of the way, the decal was put on poorly so it’s having to be put on again, the siding is coming off, the bed SUCKS, (we had to get a foam topper), the power just shuts off when it feels like it, the back benches are whack when trying to put them up. The straps aren’t long enough....so many things that shouldn’t have happened in the first freaking week. Not to mention that both locks on the door were secure but somehow managed to pop open on a busy freeway. Thankfully, I was driving behind and saw it. Now, we wait.... Warranty covers a few things but not the main issue which is the floor from our bike and I wouldn’t call this A “toy hauler”. What a nightmare and a half!! 😡 The plus side is it’s our starter trailer and even though we’ll probably have to pay out of pocket for the floor, we are excited to get it back and do some camping. I definitely will never buy nor recommend Heartland products again.

March 2018 to June 2019 spent 3 weeks in trailer rest of the time it was either in the shop for repairs or on their long waiting list for repairs. Anyway total usage was only 3 weeks. Most recent its been at camping world since January 2, 2019 till June 26, 2019. Once in Florida 1st week screen enclosure frame fell off, tire kept loosing air, frog came in from a hole in the outside wall in the dining area slide storage area, not a scratch from corresponding outside wall. Once returned from Florida repair shop 2 week in August No A.C., had to go to Lowe's and buy a portable AC unit. Slide roof leak, 3rd week no hotwater from the LP gass side, toilet seal allowed smell from sewer in RV, toilet fitting loosen and flooded out the unit causing damage to floor and molding. and now heading back to NJ paying for a site while RV in repair shop fighting over whose responsibility to fix. DO NOT BUY FROM HARTLAND OR CAMPING WORLD UNLESS YOU ARE UNLIKE ME, KNOWLEDGEABLE IN RVING.

Prepare your self! So we purchased this trailer because of the layout and the size. 26ft was the longest we wanted to go. It fits 2 full size quads great! So pick up day at the dealership after they run all their checks and yada, yada. They state they had to order a new awning motor cause ours want working...Not great but not a huge deal. 1) Wall in the bedroom was coming off. Something we pointed out before purchase! So the dealership just stuck some tiny nails in it to fix it. It was off by the time we got the trailer home from the dealership. 2) The storage above the bed, I put 2 sleeping bags up there. Not big huge heavy ones, just normal size sleeping bags. Cam in and half the thing was hanging down. Really??!!! So my husband had to fix that. So this is 1 week before our big camp out we do every year. Head to Oregon for the camp out, park get all set up. 3) Cant get the water heater to work for the life of me! Will not heat up. I turn the electric and gas heater on...nothing...So after about 12 hours of still no heat, I ask a buddy of ours if there is something we are missing? (He has a trailer, this is our first one).He says yeah theres a by-pass under here that you gotta hook up. Good to know. Thanks dealership for letting us know. (by the way I read every manual that came with the trailer and googled it trying to figure it out). 4) The LED lights on the awning. Cant get them to stop flashing and stay one color. So I google it, apparently there is a little eye on the left hand corner of the awning. The remote has to be pointed directly at it in order to work. Wont work from the door. Not a huge deal but a pain. 5) Grey water tank says it almost full (small tank) . Tell the hubby, he goes and looks and says no its pretty empty. I kept telling him no it says almost full. He empty's it and barely anything comes out. So I check again and still full. Next thing we know the trailer is leaking water out the bottom all over! Its coming out in the bathroom under the shower onto the floor. WTH! So he goes out and checks again, has a hunch and empty's the black water this time...Oh look its completely full! The smart ones labeled the tanks wrong. Fun! So he's looking under the shower where the water was coming out...lone behold the pipe under there is broken ( we also have not used the shower since purchase). Not only have we not used it we cant use it! Great! 6) The screen door wouldn't stay closed/ latch. The door jam is warped. Had to fix that. 7) Molding by the fridge from the floor going up the crease is hanging off. 8) Bed is horrible!!!! We knew this from purchase. So before we went camping we ordered a 4 1/2 inch memory foam for it. WORTH IT!!!! OMG! This made a huge difference. Bought it on amazon. Unfortunately it is longer than the bed, leaves little space to walk around... not a huge issue, more annoying than anything. 9) This last weekend (labor day weekend) we take it out to a spot that doesn't have water or electric hook up. Cant use the inside shower so we go to use the outside one. Use it and cant get it to shut off. Its just spewing water everywhere. So we have to keep the water pump off. Runs our trip short due to wasting our fresh water. 10) We have called the dealer ship about 7 times now and left about 6 messages regarding the awning motor and getting it in for all the repairs. No response. This is over a months time for the calls. Also a months time owning the trailer. The price we paid vs the amount of crap that needs to still be fixed and that my husband has already fixed is ridiculous. That much money shouldn't have this many problems! Some things just happen and that's completely understandable. However this is a lot and flat out ridiculous! The space in the trailer is great! Fits the quads and you can still get to the bedroom and bathroom. I love the huge table!!! Couch things are not great but manageable. So my recommendation if purchasing this toyhauler/trailer is: RUN THROUGH EVERTHING BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE DEALERSHIP!!! RUN THE WATER, SHOWER, WATER HEATER, AWNING, EVERYTHING! MAKE SURE IT ALL WORKS AND TAKE PICTURES IF IT DOESNT AND ALWAYS GET IT IN WRITING IF IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE YOU SIGN THE FINAL PAPERS. We did with the awning thankfully.

I bought this POS from a dealer in Quebec. I was about 3 hours on the road heading back to Nova Scotia when I noticed the door was flapping open and closed. On closer inspection the door hole was cut to big and the door wasn't latching properly. I had to use tie downs and strap the door closed. The very first trip we got a rain storm. The unit leaked like a sieve up from in the bedroom. That was fixed under warranty. The electronic board in the furnace went. It took 6 months and lots of lip service from the Quebec dealer before we got reimbursed for that repair. There was tons of small stuff. the cupboard drawers no longer works. screws fell out of the cupboard door latches. The laminate pealed off the counter because there was almost no glue. I had to re-glue it the whole thing. Half the LEDs on my awning are out. I've had to replace the battery (250.00). And the mattress is a joke. We went out and bought a real mattress after the first time we used it. Not sure if Heartland ever made good quality trailers as this was my first one. I just know this POS is totally laughable. Initially Igot very angry at the whole thing but so much went wrong I just had to laugh. The one positive thing is that I could probably go work for an RV dealership doing repairs if I needed to.
