We purchased our Solitude late last July 2023. It had several issues that needed repair. The Solitude was purchased new over 6 figures. After multiple phone calls, emails, and texts we finally picked up our Solitude on November 13, 2023. They didn’t clean the unit inside or outside. We plugged into shore power and everything seemed to be working great. One of the issues was the replacement of one refrigerator door and the freezer drawer. Upon leaving Oklahoma for Florida I discovered that the ice maker wouldn’t work. Upon investigation it had water in the reservoir but wouldn’t freeze. I also noticed that $200 worth of frozen beef had begun to thaw. The reason as I soon discovered was that the seals were missing on the two doors your company replaced. The level of incompetence you guys display just keeps on giving!  4 months of it now. The bed was never repaired. I’m not sure what was going on when you were making the repairs but the island has gouges and marks all over it. I’m guessing when whomever brought in the replacement recliners they did it. Russell (Service Advisor) is the only person I dealt with that showed any professionalism. He apologized for the delay many times. He was also extremely courteous. Nick (Sales Manager) also displayed a desire to help us. Alex made the sale and forgot about us, real nice! Jason (Service Manager) is worthless. He never made one followup call to advise us of any progress. Actually no one made any attempt to give us status updates. I had to demand to see him to get anything accomplished. In fact I had to show up in person because other forms of communication didn’t work. Again worthless. I will never do business with McClains again, ever. I’ve purchased two Grand Designs from your store. Thank goodness the Imagine never had any issues. Grand Design has a great product. So if you want to purchase one go out of state. Show less

Have a 2018 GD Solitude 373FB. I have been RVing over nearly 25 years. All I can say to this rig has given me the most grief of any rig I have ever owned. This is my 5th rig and 1st GD and I am not impressed. Bought this new and have already replaced micro/conv oven, both AC units, main TV, toilet, outdoor shower unit, carefree awning, and parts on the Thomas Pain recliner/love seat. Also, every time I go on a trip my pantry shelves fall. My recent road trip brought the window treatment over the table down, caused the shade to come out of the track, and scratched up the table. Still can't get the rail the shade is on to re-engage and hold the shade up. The pocket door also came off the track while secured. Oh yeah, and the Thomas Pain recliner isn't operation again. Will likely toss this poorly designed love seat for 1 Lazy boy RV size recliners. I know most GD owners think the world of their RV, but I can't recommend them. Structurally they may be well built, but the finish out is cheap. Thank goodness I purchased an extended warranty. It has saved me thousands, but I am moving to full-timing and can't have the rig tied up in the shop. Show less

This RV tows better than our 31 foot bumper pull did. It is so spacious and comfortable that my wife and I have actually spent some nights in it while it sat in our driveway, just because we love it so much but couldn't get away. Show less

We have owned this rig since Dec and full time in it over the winter in St.Louis. We were warm and toasty all winter and love this set up for a full timing couple. 1 1/2 baths means no one has to walk through the bed room to go to the potty. Large double sink in the MBR and lots of storage. Show less

We purchased this RV after researching several other manufacturers and found this to be one of the best. We purchased the RV to live in while we were working in California. This floor plan is like a one bedroom apartment and very comfortable living. We moved back home during the winter months and was living in the RV when we reach very low freezings temperatures. This RV was amazing, we were very comfortable in the winter months. I would recommend the 373FB Grand Design Solitude to anyone wanting great service from the manufacturer and who wants to travel and live in luxury. Show less
