This travel trailer is our sixth RV in the past 30+ years. We've owned Class A gas and diesel pushers and four travel trailers. We seem to like TT the best. This Imagine 2500RL has been a really good, reliable trailer. Yes we've had a few warranty issues, (nothing major). The customer service folks at Grand Design have been very easy to work with, and deliver what the promise. Yes you have to stay on hold a while or leave a call back number, but they do call you back, most of the time the same day. If a person has trouble performing minor house hold repairs, then an RV is not for them. Dealers are there to help, however they seem to be over run with minor repairs folks could handle them selfs. This 2500RL is a quality product, compared to all we've shopped and all we've owned. Good luck and enjoy your RV adventures.

We were told we were buying a high-quality travel trailer but we were lied to. Our first trip out the gray handle fell off of the gray tank, the spare tire fell off and could’ve killed someone, the sliding door to the master bedroom completely fell off, the drawers and cabinets that have hardware to lock them into place during travel don’t even connect to lock because they were installed incorrectly. The refrigerator stopped working, the electrical outlet plugs stopped working and the air conditioner completely stopped working. We tried to get all of this taken care of under warranty. We could not get any place to take our trailer to as they said there was such a shortage in repair staff. The first appointment we could get anywhere was so far out dated, our warranty would have been expired. Grand design would not extend our warranty to accommodate for this. Therefore we bought a problem on wheels. Choose a different brand they do not honor their warranties and they do not build quality products. Whoever installed the hardware must’ve been high as a kite. We bought it at Mike Thompson RV in fountain Valley and they were useless to us as well.

We love this trailer! It is roomy and convenient. The 60x80 queen bed is most comfortable, standard queen sheets is a plus. The under-bed storage is spacious. The hydraulic piston struts hold the bed up securely. Another feature is the theater seating. Each can "push back" the seat to desired position. A deep console between the seats holds the remotes. The dining table is sturdy; thus, can hold the weight when lowered to the bed position. And the refrigerator is ideal. So much room! It runs on solar or electricity. It is ideal to keep running when traveling. No need for propane. Makes it economical to run. We like the arrangement of the kitchen, range and refrigerator. Great working spaces and ample drawers and cupboards. The entry has a 3-way light. Walking from the bedroom to bathroom, during the night, the sensor light comes on. A big safety factor. (The rear bathroom is nice, too. One does not disturb those sleeping in the bedroom or the dinette.) A large shower is a must. So roomy. Easy in and out. (We use double shower hooks and camper shower curtain and liner. Looks very nice, too.) The entry has a shoe cubby. So handy for shoes and other items...flashlights, gloves, etc. The closet can be used for shelves or hanging coats, etc. The drawers are large. These are a plus. The fold-down stairs are larger than what we've had in other RV's. These are very safe. The grab handle is so nice to be able to move the position right or left. (The only thing we would change about the handle is to extend the rubber sleeve over the entire handle.) With the solar panel one has smaller propane tanks. So nice and easy to handle when having to refill the tanks. The back-up camera is a must! Very accurate. Can be used when driving, too.

Only the base (12 month) warranty transfers to a new owner. Luckily, he had purchased and transferred an extended warranty. Everyone told me to expect issues, but they never said how many! He we go... > Schwintek slide system on the only slide was improperly installed.. 30+ day stay at a repair facility for parts - entire system replaced >Kitchen area gray tank valve would not open/close - replaced >Black tank valve would never completely close - replaced >Window valances have fallen down - replaced tiny screws >Entry door would not open/close properly - repaired >Kitchen and bathroom plumbing connections leaked - repaired >Toilet leaked at base - repaired >Trim coming loose in multiple locations - still repairing >Solar prep wiring shorted by improper install - had to install/fish through walls, new wiring. >Screws popping up under carpet in bedroom >Camper fish-tails a lot when towing, even after new tires, and new truck.

We are an elderly couple that thoroughly enjoy the 17MKE. We have been on many trips and have never had anything fail. 1 downfall might be that the length of the trailer could be stretched out 14" so the bed could be laid down without the slide being moved out. The table for the Theater seats could also be improved on (move it over the seats more). The floor plan is roomy with great counter space and there is lots of storage space The side docking station is very convenient and user friendly. I tow the 17MKE with a 2017 Ford Expedition with the V-6 eco-boost engine and it has no problem on any grade. We would definitely recommend the Grand Design 17MKE as a couples trailer.

My wife and I purchased this TT after our last one just decided it wasn't going on anymore vacations. We researched toy hauler travel trailers and after much review, settled on the Grand Design momentum 21G. Out the box it was a fantastic trailer. All the options we purchased worked as planned. After about the fourth trip, we noticed small flaws in the actual design of the trailer. These were noted and saved so that when we dropped it off at the dealer, they would have a list of things to repair. If you went with the Three Season doors, note that the screws they use to attach the tracks to the upper and lower slides are too small/short, causing the door to detach. The second thing is the glass panels on the door are in the wrong position with the lower panel over lapping the upper panel which allows water to come in if its raining. The rear canopy stops some of the water, but not all of it. Which brings us to the generator doo. The issue we had was that when towing the trailer through a rain storm, water would seep through the gasket, filling your compartment with about a half inch of water. Making this issue worse is the fact that there are knockouts in the bottom of the compartment which lay right on top of the flooring, which allows water to escape into the bedroom and living area of the trailer. Design flaw. Not good. Water damage was unnoticeable. Another issue we had was the black water tank valve would stick in the open position creating a big mess. We experienced issues with the ramp door patio railing and Grand Design replaced the entire thing. They covered all the warranty work we listed. We did not buy the extended warranty because those are a waste of money. The priority service pitch they make is also no good. We were in Fredricksburg, Texas on a week long trip when the black water tank stuck the first time. I called the number and was advised the nearest service center was in San Antonio Texas, 85 miles away. Nope. After our last trip of 2022, we took the trailer in to get these issues corrected. Grand design has notified me they will cover everything. I'm also getting a new generator door and box. Don't spend your money on an extended warranty. I have a small RV repairman who I used to assist me with our last trailer. I will use him now that the factory warranty has expired. For the money you spend on the extended warranty, you can get alot of quality work done on your trailer with add-ons. For those of you who experience trailer sway; We did too. Very scary. Make sure your weights and measures are correct. It turned out our Toyota Tundra was overloaded by 800+ pounds. Please do the math. We since got a heavy duty truck for this purpose and it's like night and day. Stay safe and have fun.

We purchased it used in June if 2022, a used 2021 Looked like new seemed well taken care of. Pros nice layout Comfortable recliners and couch. Like the outside kitchen Tows nice. Like ceiling height Cons In September we noticed the paint peeling off the frame under slides, then upon further investigation it was the entire framework. We addressed the issue. Then one of the leaf springs we found to be broken. We had it replaced . We took the trailer to Florida this month January 2023, we cranked out one of the windows ovet the dinette and noticed the glass sliding out if the frame, apparently the weld on the corner failed. Next 3 cabinet doors started separating at the joints, they didn't glue the joints gut small pin nails. Note I been in the cabinet business since 1985 all joints are glued, So we were at Camp Margherita Ville and I saw a Grand Design van there. And explained what we been dealing with. He said call the number on the truck see if they would authorize him to check out the issues with the window and the cabinet doors, so I did and was basically told they don't stand behind a used trailer even if it's basically a new one. 2021 it just turned 2023. Plus the parts are from vendors they use and don't guarantee them. I heard good things about thier build quality, clearly not the case. Clearly the below are poor manufacturing not missuse 1 Frame improperly prepped for paint causing most of the paint to peel away 2 Improperly made cabinet doors 3 A broken weld on a window frame. Causing the glass to slip out. And a broken leaf spring, To be told too bad, really Grand Design

We like the floor plan but that’s about all we like. We choose Grand design thinking we were getting a top notch product. The trailer has been used 4 times by 2 adults and so far we have had 4 water leaks and now we have to install a new leaking toilet. The shower floor felt weak so the repair man looked under the shower floor and 3/4ths the floor is reinforced and 1/4 th of the floor isn’t reinforced. So I guess the next problem will be replacing the shower floor. No I would not buy a Grand Design no matter how beautiful they look on the outside. Our 20 year old Sunline trailer was made well and we never had any problems. The only thing good about this RV is the inside lay out. Hope this review is helpful & taken seriously.
