Overall we enjoy the floorplan and it's livability for only a couple with a couple dogs. It is spacious enough to not feel cramped but overall quality is okay at best. As with most RV's the quality is still an issue with these and has been a headache. It was working well in the beginning with everything operating as it should and with a few mods and tweaks to some of the weaknesses in the design. But then we ended up having a major slide failure which I have been reading is more common than I thought with this model. It came down to a production issue that caused the slide to be out of square enough that it loses contact with the slide track.
It was a bit of a headache and many calls and emails to FR to get it fixed properly. Initially, there was some pushback from them but persistence is key and they finally agreed to take it back to the factory to get repaired properly. More to follow but overall I think the 202 is a great floorplan for couples (with or without pets)!

Love this camper! Compact, lightweight, with all the amenities. Hot water heater can be used with electricity or gas depending on camper location and hook up availability. Travels well on all surfaces. Modern design and neutral colors. Lots of storage for a smaller camper. RV Queen bed is about as comfy as a bad hotel bed. I added an additional 3" pillow topper for more comfort. Ensure air conditioning flows through the ducts at time of purchase. My air ducts had not been cut open during manufacturing. As a newbie to camping I also realized that buying brand new equals LOTS of saw dust on everything for first few years. I constantly sweep it.

We bought this travel trailer R-POD 202 in April 2022. We are on our first 2 month journey and started to have troubles right off the bat. First our heating system didn't work, our TV didn't work, our microwave they forgot to plugged in, they didn't bolt or screwed in our outside refrige and last but not least our slide out got stuck on our 2nd night because they forgot to install two screws that held down the sliding tracks. Needless to say, I WOULD NOT RECOMMAND anyone to buy this model. Furthermore, the workmanship really, really SUCKS! My husband had to fix alot of little things that came up, missing screws, not well secured etc.

Purchased new in March 2022. Used two times. On 3rd trip slide would not open, it was bound up mechanically, not an electrical problem. The Schwintek was diagnosed at dealer as needing replaced. Dealer talked with Lippert rep and was told that this is a known problem due to shortcuts taken at a machine shop during the COVID scare. Lippert (supplies Schwintek slides to Forest River) rep talked with me several times and promised to overnight parts to dealer. Parts didn’t show so contacted rep. Would not return calls. He did text me and said “call the help line”. Still no parts and trailer has been at dealer for a month. Forest River help line not helpful in obtaining parts. Was told parts were ordered (from Lippert) but didn’t show. Frustrating brand new trailer is not usable and customer care is non existent. FR claim that customer satisfaction is top priority is false.

I just received my 2022 R-Pod from Camping World about two weeks ago. The unit was not in a completed state when I got it, there were panels on the floor with screws sticking out, raw wood edges on the trim where they hadn't put the finished edge pieces on and basic items like the toilet paper holder not installed. I paid more for this unit because it was supposed to be nicer than cheaper brands, however it feels carelessly thrown together. Further, it rained last night for the first time in my possession and water streamed down the front interior wall. I pulled back the mattress to investigate and found rust stains and mold. This thing has likely been leaking since it left the factory. I've called have just been told that campers can leak.

As a RV Technician I am here to say this maunfacture should not be allowed to make trailers. They're quality is absolutely terrible. They slap their trailers together in such a fashion that they're riddled with issues when they arrive at a dealership. Even worse is their warranty department doesn't want to pay for all the fixes and cut technicians times down no matter what the issue is. Big or small. This company needs to be completely overhauled.
To Forest River: if you want to make these trailers with such poor quality, then you should pay stand up technicians to fix your shotty workmanship or take your trailers back after denying authorization for repairs needed. Have some pride in your brand and try harder. Also QC your work! You are the worst manufacturer.

So we purchased our 202 based on Rpods reviews after considering couple different manufacturers. We purchased on January 25th 2021. Took it out for its maiden voyage on April 22, 2021.
Traveled all on interstate highways, 300 miles in Colorado. Trails great! Got to camp and hot water heater only works on gas, electric does not work. Door will not shut or open easily. Had to remove strike plate still hard. Sitting in dinette, could see daylight coming through upper latchside corner of door. Closet clothes rod completely fell while in transit, screws were only 1/4" in length and were only in the weak paneling. All screws that held control panel, USB port and info center had completely came out. USB was hanging by wires.Decals on front of camper already peeling off. Front windshield already has trapped condensation in it.
Contacted Forest river, they were not interested in helping, pushed it all on the dealer. Our Dealer is great to work with and very helpful. We spent close to $30k for this camper, imagine buying a car and the door doesn't shut or open, you would take it back! If this was a car I could return it under the lemon law.
The good? It's very comfortable and the layout is great. Tows easily. The design and colors are great. Kitchen and bathroom are wonderful. We like the camper, however, the quality and workmanship after only the first trip make us worry about our future with it.

This is no the new 2021 RPOD 202
Nice but needs improvement , microwave/ oven needs to be be moved to top of kitchen. If you can bend over well for get using it. (poor design there.
The door hits the steps and dented the bottom on the door, a 1 (20 pound) LP gas tank is not enough.
The display model was not finished , the racks in the seat to drop the table were missing in a display on the dealer floor. That shows poor inspection at the factory.
Old style bad locks on the outside storage compartments.
The outside grill (which should be a burner) does fold into the storage space with the cooler.
another poor design.
The window blinds suck and are old design that do not stay up, need regular shades.
We are 70 and were hoping this would work for us , but were not happy considering the cost of $22,500.00. Needs more attention to detail.
