Both slide out installed improperly from factory cost to repair out of pocket $8400 Leaky window improperly installed also with screws either missing or actually pushing the frame outward cost $2460 because of water damage on the inside…. The insulation in walls is also insufficient in part of the wall…. The 1 year warranty is a joke…. Since the vast majority of people will not use their trailer in cold weather. It only gives you 5 months at best.

A blown tire is Chicago area…. Really bad freeways. And cables for slides misaligned which is getting fix by insurance. Overall my wife and I absolutely love the trailer. I have 1050 watt of solar a Expion lithium battery rated 360 amp ( could use a second one for truly boon docking)we boon docked 45% of our travel. And a Xantrex inverter sw 3012. I towed it with a Ram Laramie 2500 Hemi …. Sorry no diesel for me for many many reasons.

There is not much good aboit this RV. On our way home the side molding started to rip on brand new trailer. After fighting with forest river finally got that repaired. A little over a year while driving home from camping the belly cover came off all the inside dropped dragging on the ground. Sine then ever single glass cabinet insert came off. A cabinet hinge just came off. After about two years the rubber molding around the dlides came off The interior fake wood moling all is coming away from the wall. I should have done more research. Stay far away from forest river.

Purchased a 2021 In late 2020. Trailer towes much smother than the Jayco hybrid we previously had. I can concur that build quality is not as sharp as I would I like, but this as a camper made on the cheapest PO's won buy product suppliers. I believe they did a great job producing a well built camper, with the weight it has. Just beware that trim lines are not completely smooth, the roof edge line is off on laminate tongue and groove joints, and there are zero power plugs on the slide. Now, my service side of the camper. I have had the following already go bad in less than a year. Water heater exhausted fumes in the camper. Stated the exhaust seal was not correct. This is a bid deal but addressed. Some bolts that hold the cable drive plates on the slide sheared off. Not sure how they fixed, but done. Small area of the slide didn't have silicone allowing a small water mark under the slides underbelly. And the biggest, when rolling up the awning after a great weekend, the drive motor drive shift snapped in half, allowing the one side to drop on a table and swing bending the main roller and one side arm. I had a friend who owns a Machine shop make the drive pin out of a better metal and back in working order. They did not cover the roller under warranty as they said it still worked.

I purchased my camper from a dealer lightly used. I was told it was an all season camper, it is completely not. The sliding bathroom door keeps falling off and breaking things, and after I tow the camper there is always a ton of what looks to be sawdust to be vacuumed up. I did a lot of research before I purchased and the Forrest River brand seemed like a solid purchase however they have an issue with build quality which I did not find out until after purchasing. If I had to purchase again I would not purchase a Forrest River camper.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality, especially after hearing so many horror stories from almost all of the manufacturers these days. Our shakedown trip was an approximately 1200 mile trip from Ohio to South Florida which occurred without a hitch (pardon the pun). The only issue we had so far, was that the cover for the awning motor fell off. I called our dealer and let them know that I was willing to install it myself. They requested a photo and within a week I had the part. I am aware that this is not the highest end model FR makes but it suits us well. I was pleasantly surprised. Great floor plan design and easier to tow than expected with a 1/2 ton. I believe most people are not willing to write a review unless its negative, that is probably why my expectations may have been lower. However, it is always a good idea to offer positive reviews as long as it is honest.

Unit pulls well and looks good. Dealer sent me on the road without the brakes adjusted properly. They said that they would adjust as I went, which was not true. I manually adjusted them after 800 miles to get them to apply properly. Lowest screws on both fender flares pulled right out of the aluminum skirt as I travelled on the interstate. Quick fix of putting a small wood block behind the skirt to help hold the screws in. No interior concerns as everything works as it should. Faucets handles turn the opposite of normal, but work just fine. Disappointed with the rear view camera, and have decided to not use it. Factory did leave sawdust and such everywhere under cabinets. A few moments with a shop-vac took care of that, but it would be nice if they delivered a trailer that is nice and clean. 12v fridge works well, a/c and water heater work well, heat and fireplace work well, ice-maker works well, electric jacks work well. The slide-out works well. Will probably add the other 50 watt solar panel to make a total of 100 watts. Even then, I'm not sure 100 watts would help you get through a long weekend. Would like to see the "pantry" glass door on the pantry beside the fridge instead of where you walk in, but that's minor. The pantry by the entry door is more like a "coat closet" in feel than a "pantry". Nice to have that storage, however. I can see the seams in the plywood through the roof membrane, but can see that on other trailers as well. As usual, the mattress is hard, but I have added a topper to give it some comfort. I would like to see a better factory warranty; the one with this trailer is a little short and weak. Over all, I like this trailer and set up.

U figure a new camper would have good tires. And a jack. But I dont think they wore out the kinks with the electrical that notifies you bye changing colors on valve stem caps bc the first two trips blow out flats and electrical radials came through the treads. Second time I had a jack but no spare cost me 2700 to tow home. Anyway the design is nice but thing was put together way to fast u can se bad cuts on the trim and electrical has issues with faulty grounds I have to turn off gfis or disconnect negative on battery at every campground. If u purchase buy a jack and change all for tires and check stability axels before driving, and point out baseboard and doorway trim that often cut to long before u stub and cut your toes on.
