Great starter RV for a family. Has everything to get going and camping. Light enough to be pulled with anything, and small enough to fit anywhere. Attention to detail is absent. Cabinets peeling almost immediately, plumbing iffy, with leaks found and needed to be fixed. 1st long trip, the underbelly panels were shattered by the wind. Bed is an engineering oversight, as it cracked on the first night laying on it, but easy to fix and reinforce ourselves with metal angle. Bathroom yellowed within a month. Show less

It was purchased new and mainly a couples camper, but have had others stay a night. Had to have the bulb seal around the slide out replaced before purchase as it was coming off near the bottom of one side. Also had to return to the dealer, for a water line behind the shower that was not correctly installed. I noticed the noise when connecting to water and quickly shut it off. It was fixed while I waited. The slide fuse was installed too deep and the electric tongue jack went bad in about month 7, both were repaired/replaced while I waited (about 2 hours). There are odd and ends things that have needed attention that I have addressed (door hinges, latches, etc.) The TV antenna doesn't seem to work which we typically stream so have not addressed. We have owned this RV since June 2023 and logged approximately 27000 miles traveling to CA, AK, and Nova Scotia all from PA. We have had minor issues, such as slides on drawers failing and other small issues but overall we are very pleased with this unit. The dealer we purchased this rig from has been excellent had any inquiry. Their response has been quick and very informative! When asked if I would buy another Rockwood or 2205S the answer is yes. It was built during the pandemic, so everything that could go wrong did. 3 of the 5 slides were bad, the refrigerator doors wouldn't open all the way, the custom Morryde independent suspension was installed incorrectly and almost caused a catastrophic failure, (I'm still dealing with the problem now 2.5 years later) awnings installed wrong, shower walls delaminated, tank sensors replaced and still don't work, etc. The manuals and other would be helpful paperwork was virtually worthless. I asked for a schematic of the plumbing and the manufacturer stated they don't have one. The electrical system Is designed to work as the coach is delivered so if you want to install a good solar unit it's very difficult. Riverstone doesn't offer a good solar unit. As an example of the warranty service... When I discovered that the refrigerator doors would not open all the way because the cabinet was blocking them the response from the dealer was, "WELL THAT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY" Now for the good news. Recently I ran into a couple that had a 2024 Riverstone Legacy and they stated that they had the coach for about 4 months and NOTHING was wrong. They have been living in it and found everything worked as it should. Therefore, I put my nightmare experience down to Covid. Show less

The floor plan is perfect for us as empty nesters. There is a spacious living area, a large bedroom and a decent sized bathroom. Have owned it just over a year and it has never made it a trip without something breaking. It went to the dealer approximately 7 different times to repair rattling plumbing behind the shower, replace one vent fan, repair another vent fan, reattach living room wall board to framing, repair 2 blinds that had holes in them, fix the waterpump as it was loosing prime constantly, fix the loose dinette seating back support wall, fix the annoying squeak in the bed framing. All of that was fixed under warranty. They couldn’t find anything wrong with the air conditioning, but it has an airflow issue that prevents it from keeping the trailer cooler than 10 degrees below outside temp. I will perform the DIY diverter assy to remedy that. Our last trip had the support that hold the counter top piece in place w hen the tv is stowed under the counter. I will fix that myself. I have owned 2 other trailers and they all had lots of issues also. Show less

Upgraded from a Flagstaff Microlite as we wanted something larger with a better floorplan. Found exactly that with this unit. We tow it with a 1/2 ton F-150 with the max tow package and really have very little issues with it other than occasional minor sway in higher winds. KEY to our towing experience was going with a WeighSafe weight distribution hitch system which I consider to be the best one out there. I have tried three other wd towing systems and this one is far superior as this trailer is very heavy; especially in the tongue. Build quality and durability have proven to be outstanding thus far and we are very happy with this travel trailer. Show less

This travel trailer has everything, thats a fact. Unfortunately every time we use it, we think "why the heck didn't they put it right" The quality is tge worst I've ever seen ln an RV Everything is fitted with Brad nails or staples (screws might have been too expensive) Overall built quality 2/10 Insulation 0/10 AC 0/10 Bathroom quality 2/10 Shower 1/10 Kitchen 3/10 Range 0/10 (boil don't cook) Outdoor kitchen layout 9/10 but quality 1/10 Show less

Love the floor plan. Couples coach. Great outdoor kitchen. Quality is good. Floor plan is very unique and price point is affordable. Things I would like to see improved. Plumbing- lot of tubing with pex clamps Shower- would like to see full fiberglass unit. Forest River in the newer models have made improvements and made great upgrades. • Opened up rear underbelly of coach for additional storage that was hidden in 2021/2022 models. • Open stairs Overall we are happy with the 36fl and would buy another 36FL without hesitation. Easy to tow. Loved the layout and the storage spaces. Fridge a little small for a longer trip. Murphybed top and easy to handle. The outside light on top was good and the blue lights on the bottom gave a cozy ambiente. Disappointed in the warranty work. Never able to fix a wallpaper problem. Show less

Our family has thoroughly enjoy camping in the Forest River HW pop up trailer because it is easy to tow, easy to set up and has all the conveniences like the larger and more expensive trailers. The full kitchen with the oven is great along with the outside Bar-B-Q that runs from the 2 LP bottles on the trailer. The hot water shower and toilet is the best feature on those nights when we don't feel like using the campsite bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and the electric heater in the mattress is a nice touch on those cold nights. On our first camping trip using our Rockwood HW we went to Arrowhead Lake in the fall and ended up in a rain and wind storm with 50 mph gust of wind and it weathered the storm amazingly! No leaks, no breaks and no problems! We never worried after that about any concerns with the weather coming through it is so well made and tight that the built in furnace keep the trailer warm and the tent kept it dry! We've loved it because it tows easy. Set's up fast. And provided conveniences to give our family many great camping adventures. Show less
