As I'm reading reviews while searching for our next RV, I decided it would be worthwhile to share our experience with our current camper. New to the camping world, we purchased our first trailer in 2021- a brand new Alta 2600KRB. We did extensive research on these and this floorplan with the giant rear bathroom was scarce to say the least. We took a chance on a covid model and apparently got an absolute gem compared to some of the others we've heard stories about. Our only experience utilizing the factory warranty was when the solar panel controller fried our battery, which we were later told was wired incorrectly from the factory. One of the LED nosecap lights was dead when we bought it, but we used it so infrequently that we chose to ignore that until the battery issue necessitated involving the manufacturer. East to West gave us no problems getting the battery replaced and wiring corrected, as well as replacing the nose cap light. Our refrigerator also failed, but it was after the 1 year warranty expired. Home Depot makes a residential that looks identical and fits in the exact footprint of the original, for about 1/4 the cost. Its been in there working flawlessly for the last 3 years now. We also replaced the china bomb tires with Goodyear Endurances the first chance we got. They just looked and felt cheap, but we were lucky enough to experience no blowouts in the 1200ish miles we had them before we could replace. In the nearly 4 years of ownership and 6500+ miles we have towed this trailer, these are the only issues we have experienced. Owning an RV requires a general understanding of the hurricane-like violence that the unit goes through everytime you drag it down the highyway and expecting to need to tack trim pieces back on every once in a while, or tighten a fitting here and there. We made this purchase expecting to see some quality issues based on the other reviews of covid-made units, but have been more than pleasantly surprised. We are now looking to upgrade to a 5th wheel for the extra space needed for longer/farther trips, and based on our experience with our Alta, we are looking at East to West 5th wheel options first.

I ordered a new one on line had it in 3 days and has been working since, the blower moter on the furnace has now gone out. This trailer has not been a good investment.

this trailer has a great curb appeal and floor plan. It has quality appliances. Unfortunately it appears to have been built by inexperienced beginers and damaged parts. The fold up steps were installed wrong, thus warping the door. The windows on the slideout fit very loose and leaked air. The microwave had a door that wouldn't close. The exit window was damaged and installed wrong. The awning had a hole and bad melted spot. The paneling popped loose during the many trips back and forth to the dealer. The moulding for that was also never installed. Just recently I bought a furrion rear camera and monitor and find that there is no power to the factory installed mount. I have 6 nights and about 480 miles on it. The manufacture representative helped some, but really has said" it's on you" and the dealer. I would steer everyone away from this Manufacturer.

We've had our trailer now for almost 2 years. While I'm happy with the towability and liveability, I'm less than impressed with the craftsmanship. I assume east to west has their own quality AVOIDANCE department and they are doing a superb job. Maybe they should think about quality control. The first trip we took the gasket between the coach and the slide-out came out. Seems it was never fastened down. Next the screws which hold the panel over the winterization valves were stripped out after the dealer winterized it. Also the screws which hold the panel over the water heater bypass were stripped out. This was not the dealers fault. You can't expect large thread wood screws to hold in 1/8 to 1/8 paste board. The unit was cold during our first fall and I found that the heat ducting was never connected to the heater unit. Oh and the screws holding that panel in place were also stripped out. We tried to open the drawers on the somewhat useless anyway drawer unit under the bed and never could get them to work. When I took them out and put a tri-square on them they were so crooked they could never have worked. The frame holding the drawers in the kitchen was never fastened correctly so the whole frame moved when you opened a drawer. The plywood under the prison mattress was cut 6 inched too short so the mattress hung over the edge. The LED light on the side of the coach near the low point drains simply fell off somewhere between home and Texas. I've got roughly 100 hours in fixing the crappy craftsmanship. When I brought this to the attention of the manufacturers rep at our travel show he simply walked away

I have had the worse experience ever, the dealer has had the trailer 5 months out of the time I have owned it the airconditioner does work in auto fan. The slide had a short in the 12v system that was because they ran the wiring through aluminum support that chaffed through a wire and had 1 1/2 screws in the same tubing, it only needs about 1/2 in length screws in it. The dealer hasn't helped nor has East to West support it is like they all sit at their desk and laugh at emails all-day

Now comes the next season and now I have a short in the circuit that runs the tv and stereo. So it being a lift system tv cant raise the tv and the Kicker is the tv blocks all the wiring so can even see where the problem is. Now comes too east to west customer service, There is none. They responded to my last review just so it looked good and asked me to email them I did 4 months with no reply. If you think they will do something they wont so if you buy one you are at the mercy of your dealer and even they are fed up and tell you sorry they cant even get them to pay for parts

Worst craftsmanship by far. Bought the rig brand new last year. Most of the wood trim fell off the walls during the first trip because it was just stapled, no adhesive? Had to go through and tighten all the plumbing connections as they were all loose enough to leak. Kitchen sink was draining inside the island for almost two weeks before we found it, was really fun to clean up. Both exhaust fans stopped working within the first 6 months. The furnace blower fan is on the fritz, it’s a struggle to even get the furnace going right in time for winter. I inspected the furnace, the frame the blower is mounted into is cracked. Not sure how the metal could break in a tight space like that, unless the installer did it. I would not call this an all season rig. I can feel drafts coming from the slide seals, especially the bottom. I can see day light around the door frame, as the trim used to cover the gap fell off during the first move. Garbage. The best part, still fighting with Camping World over the warranty they sold us, haven’t had a single thing fixed or replaced.
