I bought my camper here brand new and had issues with it within the first month. It was something that was done by the manufacture they used a screw where a hose clamp should be. When I took it back to get fixed they had it for a few months they fixed a couple problems but not everything I walked through it told them it was not fixed. They kept it for a few more months just got it back and it still is not fixed. When talking to the manager he told me I should by a tool box with my new camper bc things will go wrong. I said I bought a new camper so that I could use it and bought an extra warranty for that reason also. There customer service is not good and they say they fixed everything and it still is not done. Do not recommend at all.

Yesterday my husband left a 5* review for this business but I must also add a 1* review for the reasons below. Both are trueas they relate to two different product categories and may also involve different personnel. We had bought a 5th wheel from them but needed a towing hitch installed in our truck - this post is about buying that hitch. They installed a hitch without givingus options on the brands they carry and which does not meet our needs at all. We never owned a 5th wheel or a related hitch, but we knew that we needed a sliding hitch. The dealership installed a Curt sliding hitch, their price being $1,300 for which we paid $2,500 installed, fair enough. They gave us instructions on how to use the hitch while we were driving out of the dealership in a cold and windy night with the trailer hitched. The hitch has two handles and as was tutored to us, pulling the trailer required us to pull one handle one way and the other toward the truck’s front and push the hitch back to the lock position. The process needs to be reversed for tight maneuvering or reversing, etc. Now me and my husband are both of small stature and being elderly, (they had seen my husband moving around with a cane for two days we were there), we cannot manage the process while standing on ground, one of us must climb in the truck-bed, which is a hard for either of us. When we reached home, I sent a message to the salesperson stating that we would not be able to handle the hitch. I researched and found that Demco is a manufacturer specializing in auto-sliding hitches, and it’s also a well-established technology. We found out yesterday when RV dealership opened that they do carry Demco hitches as well but did not offer it to us because the cost was about a $1,000 higher. They should have given us the option to decide We priced a suitable Demco model with capture plates and installation kit from ‘e-trailer’. The price was $2,466.66 plus taxes with free shipping. We offered Dave Arbogast RV to charge us additional $800 (on top of the $2,500 already paid, so a total of $3,300), to install the Demco model, remove and keep their unwanted Curt hitch. However, they wanted us to pay them$1,300 more instead and keep/sell the Curt hitch on our own. We declined the offer. Clearly, we are having a terrible experience of buying a suitable 5th wheel hitch from Dave Arbogast RV. Never were we told that if we driveaway with their installed hitch, it would be ours to keep. If such is their policy, it is totally unfair. We have opened a dispute with our credit card company

Terrible terrible customer service from this dealership. We live 2 hours away, but were excited to find a brand new 2020 Cyclone that we had been searching for on their website. We made a deal with salesman Cliff to purchase rig but we were not able to pick it up for several weeks. We did make appt for pick up. Of course when we went to pick it up everyone so very nice etc. we did a walk thru and were hurried through it, but this is our second time owning one so we were familiar with most stuff. We were missing the remote to the built in stereo system. Salesman said no problem we will order you one and ship it to you. We paid cash and off we go. We spent a week in the 5th wheel only to find all kind of stuff wrong with it. Fridge won’t run off inverter fridge won’t make ice one blind broken (won’t go up) tv won’t play through ceiling speakers and biggest thing is that generator was not working (turn on but no amps to stuff) all this was nothing to ruin our trip but we knew we where going to have to take it back for repairs. We make the call to schedule service and were told if we brought it in the next week they could get to it bc they were almost caught up in their service dept. My husband made it perfectly clear that we want to bring it in when they can service it, we didn’t want it sitting there bc we would use it if not being serviced. Oh no problem we were told. So we take it in for our scheduled appt and were told they would get on it. So one week went by we didn’t hear from them. So next week went by and we decided to call them. We made many many attempts to get ahold of Alex in the service dept before we finally got ahold of him and we were told the service tech on your camper has been busy and hasn’t got to look at it. If he can’t get to it this week we will give it to someone else …and the story goes on and on. At one point we were told the generator didn’t have any more gas in it and we would have to pay them to put gas in it. Does not matter we drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back 3 times and they are worried about 5 dollars for gas. The saga continued on for 6 weeks back and forth lies and more lies. We needed a new transfer switch for generator which they said they had to order and wait on but we found one right by our house but Arborgast service dept refused to go get one anywhere else. blah blah blah. So we finally go to pick it up today Sept 24, 2021 (Been there for over 6 weeks) and of course only part of the work is complete. We have had a trip planned for over a year so we had to pick it up. They told us to come get it any time we wanted to use it during the 6 weeks but we kept telling them we live over 2 hours away. They just didn’t understand that. Before we went to pick up the camper we went to license branch to get plates for it bc we knew the temporary plate would be expired since it had been there all that time. The BMV would not give plates until it has been inspected by the BMV or local law enforcement since we bought it out of state. We explained that to Cliff our salesman, who we have never spoken to since we bought the 5th wheel, to see if they could give us another temporary tag to get rig home since it had been in their service dept 6 weeks and he told us no they could not. Said we would have to go to license branch down the road for another temporary tag. Imagine that such great customer service Lol. I just want people to know how awful we have been treated by Dave Arborgast RV. Unfortunately we are kinda stuck now and once they got our money they just don’t care anymore. BEWARE!

Claimed they couldn’t take a cashiers check from USAA. Claimed they didn’t have anyone to do the walk thru of the new RV. Kept asking for a $1000.00. I think they were running a scam to get a kick back from their in house financing. Regardless buyer beware! On a good note safe place to buy RV supplies like toilet paper.

I have to give a shout out to Chris, Gary, AJ and Luke in service. My 2019 Heritage Glen 282rk left front wheel and assembly came off and rolled past me. It did damage to the skirting and wheel flare molding. We wasn’t far from Arbogast ,so I called Chris and they sprung into action. Chris and AJ came and tied up the axle hooked up my camper and took it to Arbogast. My warranty had recently expired, Gary the manager told me this wasn’t any fault of mine and he would make it right. Luke is also one that along with Chris kept me posted. Here is the outcome: The axle company sent a new axle, Forest River sent Panel and molding and paid for parts and labor. These guys went over and beyond the hoops for us. Thank you Gary,Chris,AJ and Luke for your fast, friendly and professional service you have shown my wife and I. AAA Gentlemen, God Bless .

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES! The manager gave me a song and dance about all the work they had done. The deposit form did not have the sale price on it, which I was concerned about when I made the deposit, which make me wonder if this is standard practice. I surely would not recommend doing business with them.

We bought used 2016 Winnebago View MotorHome in October 2019. We drove the coach around 250 miles and transmission blew. Had it towed to Mercedes dealership. Total cost for repairs $7500. Vehicle was winterized so we did no camping. Due to recent COVID problem we we not able to take out camping until after 4th of July 2020. We discovered water line from on board water tank was not completed to sink. Water pump will not work and now attempting to contact dealer maintenance department getting no response. We we assured that if we had any coach problems they would do all repairs needed. One thing I was glad for that finance manager convinced us to be buy service contract for the coach. Saved us $7000 repair for transmission. Don’t ask me if I would by from them, I hardly think so. Buyer beware. Get independent inspection on any RV you may considering from them.
