All in all, I like my camper... That being said.. The first time I saw an Cata Expedition was in a sea of rvs at lot off the interstate. It caught my attention enough that I turned around, went to the dealer, and bought the trailer. At first I thought the price was high, but after reviewing all the factory installed options, turned out it was just a couple thousand more than a competitor model that came with no options or versatle capabilities. The layout is great, and makes great use of a smaller space. The bathroom is more than you would expect in a small model. But, where the shower's large size awes you, the toilet takes back due to limited leg room. Cool feature you wouldnt expect is an outdoor shower. It also comes with a fancy wifi antenna on top. Im not real sure about this guy yet, as it didnt seem to boose my reception anymore than my routers factory antenna set. And, I had to slightly disassemble the cabinetry to access the coax to even try it. The appliances all work great, even when using 2 or 3 at a time with the ac. The counter space is limited though, and can barely accommodate a coffee maker. It is also pretty cool that you have bedding options. Either drop the queen size murphy bed, or if your feeling lazy, lay down the sofa instead. Electric jack with little porch light is a nice touch. Electric/gas fridge and hot water also a nice touch. Comes with 2 gas cylinders and a cheap car battery. Big selling point for me is the preinstalled solar system. The panel it comes with is more or less just capable of keeping the battery maintained, but the charge controller, inverter, and trailer being wired totally make up for the panel. Its easy to buy and connect more panels. Last cool thing is the stereo/dvd system. Everything you need for music or movies is right there in one small unit. Lots of storage, though no long pass through for things like fishing poles. Metal siding is nice. It will take the bush alot better I think. Now, the bad. I bought this new off the lot. Come to find out, the dealers do not go through or check any of their inventory until its sold. Then they either take forever to prep it or do a shoddy rush job. Ok, my first major complaint. The color of the outdoor LED. Blue... Have you ever turned on a blue led in the northeast TX woods? Anything with wings in eyeshot will stop at nothing to get to that light.. This feature is getting replaced. In less than a month of use, the power awning power wire disconnected due to factory installing wires with no slack. The sofa under drawer support frame and rails separated because the Staples pulled out of the wood joints. And, the ac/dc inverter died before it was ever used. All of those things were either fixed/replaced/waiting for parts covered by warranty. Once I get through fixing/modifying, this will be one bad A little rig. So far Ive done a lot of fixture work and sealing. Added towel and paper role hangers, spice racks, key and hat hangars. Last piece of accompanyment are the rifle hangars over the driverside livingroom window/escape hatch. I recommend for 1-2 people. 3 if one is a small kid.

I have owned both large 5th wheels and class A motorhomes before, and bought this just for short weekend trips. After using it for 6 months, I am surprised at how easy it is to use and stay in. For such a small unit, the shower is actually not cramped, the couch is comfortable, the A/C works great even in TX, and there is plenty of usable storage. It's also really easy to tow. It certainly isn't as "livable" as a 40' 5th wheel, but it wasn't meant to be so I can't fault it for that. Things that I love: I love how it looks, great colors, wheels and off-road tires; its surprisingly stable when set up with the 4 corner jacks; wood plank flooring looks great and easy to clean; 3 burner stove looks and works great; good size power awning and really like the blue LED light strip; having a queen bed is a small trailer is awesome and the mattress is actually pretty comfortable and the murphy bed is easier to use than I thought it would be; the power jack is definitely a plus; solid steps are a must have; the "shower miser" water saver is a cool feature so you don't have to waste water until the shower water is hot, I have boon-docked a few times and saving water is key; I have only used the solar panel once, but it ended up working well. Things that could be better: although the solid steps are great to use, the pin to adjust the legs is difficult to pull out and put back in; the "farm style" kitchen sink definitely could be bigger; sitting on the toilet is a little cramped; the stereo works OK, but certainly not high-end sound; the A/C on high is kinda loud, but I was used to fully ducted A/Cs so probably not a fair comparison. Overall, I am really happy with the trailer and I have been taking longer trips than I thought I would and am still comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.

Brand new at the dealer the table was broken and the seat was screwed down in the wrong position. They fixed those and said they'd order a new table. Drove it home 2 miles and set it up. Noticed one of the stabilize jacks was installed crooked and came down at an angle. Folded the seat down and it popped loose. Some screws just popped out, ssd ome popped through. The remote to the awning light didn't work so we were stuck with dim blue. Took it out gently for a few miles to practice towing. Not far. May have crossed railroad tracks, butno major bumps. When we got home the ceiling panel with shade and light over the slider had fallen down! Also the shade and cover over the kitchen window had fallen down. There is no excuse for such shoddy workmanship. Find a different make!!

Purchased a 2021 coachmen Catalina legacy edition by forest river brand new from bluegrass rv of Lexington KY. Was purchased to live in while we search for land and build a house. Currently have been in it for less than 2 weeks and pretty disappointed. Within the first night the water heater fittings started leaking and flooded the floor at the kitchen. Called around to get it fixed under warranty and the only way I could is to bring it to the dealer which is impossible considering we’re living in it. So contacted forest river corporate and left a message and still no response so I had to fix it myself. The bedroom slide on one side sweats terribly and is definitely going to cause problems down the road. Woke up this morning to one of the factory living room blinds laying in the floor. It had just pulled the screws right out of the wall so had to fix that best I could. Other than that it’s just a lot of small details that are cheaply done compared to a bigger name like keystone or jayco. But obviously your going to pay for it. For the price it’s a nice camper as far as the layout, room, and storage but for over 30,000 I shouldn’t have these problems within the first 2 weeks. So personally wouldn’t recommend buying a coachmen and definitely wouldn’t recommend buying from bluegrass RV
